Chapter 89: List of Model Workers

Chapter 89: List of Model Workers

Lu Anlan tilted her head and thought about it after hearing this.

"But didn't your relative just say that you won the award for model worker?"

Xu Yihuan chuckled lightly: "You believe him just because he says so?"

"Alright, stop thinking about it. Hurry up and pack your things. We'll go get the books later."

The rain in September came and went quickly; by the time classes started the next day, the rain had stopped.

It had been raining for half a day at Kyoto University, and the air was filled with humidity and stuffiness.

Lu Anlan stood downstairs in the dormitory building, holding a book in her hands, complaining that her hair became oily as soon as it came into contact with the air.

Fortunately, there's only one Business English class in the morning, so I can go back to my dorm to rest after class.

Xu Yihuan and Lu Anlan arrived at the classroom early, fearing they would be late, and took up seats in the front row.

The classmates gradually arrived.

Almost everyone glanced at the seats in the front row and then walked to the back without hesitation.

There was even a hint of disdain in their eyes when they looked at Xu Yihuan, as if they felt that they were sitting in that position on purpose to attract attention.

The group gathered together to chat.

It wasn't until Tang Wanhua entered the room.

Tang Wanhua wore exquisite makeup and a black vest suit, looking decisive and efficient.

Among the crowd were some people with broad horizons who gasped when they saw Tang Wanhua.

Whispers continued to rise.

"Oh my god, it's her! Tang Wanhua, that famous business translator."

"Damn, I heard before that she and that guy were fellow students, one in politics and the other in business, but I don't know if it's true."

"They've really gone all out to get her here. Peking University really went all out to invite her."

Tang Wanhua seemed not to hear the discussions.

He put the book he was holding on the table and began to introduce himself.

"I will be your business English teacher. My surname is Tang. If you need anything in the future, you can contact me through my email or WeChat."

"This is my contact information."

Tang Wanhua took the chalk and wrote a string of numbers on the blackboard.

Students in the audience kept taking pictures; no matter what, it's always good to exchange contact information.

"Now, let's choose a get out of class representative."

Tang Wanhua's strength and resources are undeniable.

If I can work with her, I'm sure I'll have plenty of opportunities to participate in events, win awards, and compete in competitions in the future.

So everyone raised their hands.

Xu Yihuan was also tempted and raised her hand high in front of her.

She knew this ever since she met Tang Wanhua in Yuncheng.

Tang Wanhua could give her what she wanted.

Tang Wanhua glanced down around and nodded in satisfaction.

Finally, he raised his chin and called out Xu Yihuan's name.

"Then let's choose the student in the first row, Xu Yihuan."

"If I remember correctly, you were admitted through a special admission program, right? Keep up the good work."

Xu Yihuan smiled confidently, "I will, teacher."

Tang Wanhua nodded: "Okay, let's start class now."

Pei Yutang's expression froze when she saw Tang Wanhua fluently call out Xu Yihuan's name.

So, does Tang Wanhua know Xu Yihuan?

Yes.

She saw Tang Wanhua from afar at Meng Jian's apprentice-acceptance banquet, but she never expected that Xu Yihuan would climb up to her in such a short time.

After figuring it out, Pei Yutang felt nothing but disdain.

The class time passed quickly.

Lu Anlan listened to the lecture for an hour in a daze, but in the end, she found that she couldn't understand it and was sleepy, so she opened her phone and browsed for half an hour.

She didn't get this spot through an exam, so it's normal that she doesn't understand.

Her requirements weren't high; she just wanted to graduate.

When the bell rang, Lu Anlan was holding her phone and laughing happily.

Without looking up, he packed up his books and turned to call Xu Yihuan, who was standing next to him.

I turned my head to the side, but I didn't see anyone.

Surely he didn't abandon her and sit in the back by himself?

"Huanhuan! Huanhuan!" Lu Anlan shouted, turning her head around.

My gaze finally settled on the podium.

Xu Yihuan is chatting with Tang Wanhua.

There must be something they're explaining.

Seeing Xu Yihuan, Lu Anlan felt relieved and continued scrolling through her phone.

Wait patiently for her.

Meanwhile, on the podium...

Tang Wanhua rested her hands on the podium, looking weary, her beautiful eyes glancing at Xu Yihuan.

"Huanhuan, the academy has invited a teacher to give a presentation on September 25th. If you're free, could you come and help out?"

Xu Yihuan answered almost without hesitation: "No problem."

Upon hearing Xu Yihuan's decisive answer, Tang Wanhua was stunned for a moment, then burst out laughing.

"You agreed so quickly? Others would run away as fast as they can when they see there's work to be done. Looks like I really made the right choice in choosing a class representative."

Tang Wanhua's teasing tone made Xu Yihuan look embarrassed.

"No, I just happen to have some free time."

"Okay, let's add each other on WeChat. I'll send you the specific time, location, and tasks via WeChat later."

"Although the college didn't say what it was about, I guess it's something like having you liaise with that teacher, go over the manuscript, copy files, and adjust the microphone."

Tang Wanhua's somewhat talkative manner immediately bridged the gap between her and Xu Yihuan.

Xu Yihuan nodded: "I understand."

Tang Wanhua rested her hand on her forehead, stared at Xu Yihuan for a few seconds, said nothing more, and lazily nodded: "Okay, go back and rest."

Lu Anlan, with her sharp ears, overheard this sentence.

He immediately grabbed Xu Yihuan's and his own books and eagerly walked over to Xu Yihuan's side.

She blinked her big eyes at Xu Yihuan, like a child who tugged at her mother's sleeve to go home when visiting relatives.

"Let's go."

Xu Yihuan couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"Okay. Teacher, we'll be going now. Goodbye, teacher."

Tang Wanhua smiled at the two girls, as if coaxing children: "Okay, goodbye."

As soon as she stepped out of the classroom, Lu Anlan couldn't hold back any longer.

"Huanhuan, what does Teacher Tang want with you?"

"It's nothing. They said a teacher is coming to the school to give a speech on the 25th, and I'm going to help out."

"The 25th, isn't that a Saturday? Are we going too?"

"Hmm...we English majors should all go and attend."

Upon hearing Xu Yihuan's words, Lu Anlan looked up to the sky and let out a long roar.

"It's almost National Day, why is this happening now? I hope it's a good teacher, otherwise I'll fight him to the death!"

...

Back in the dormitory, the other two were still not there.

Even if Lu Anlan was very rich, he couldn't understand why she paid for the accommodation but didn't come back to stay.

Having attended classes for half a day, I was much more awake now.

I sat down and started scrolling through my phone when a DingTalk message popped up.

Lu Anlan immediately clicked on it.

It is an Excel spreadsheet containing the "List of Outstanding Students in Military Training for the English Department".

They were arranged by class, all of them were English majors, two per class.

Lu Anlan's eyes lit up instantly.

I quickly opened the spreadsheet and found my class.

I saw two names above.

Li Li and Xu Yihuan.

Lu Anlan exclaimed in surprise, overjoyed: "Wow!! Huanhuan, I told you!! The other spot really is yours!"

Xu Yihuan changed into her pajamas, tied her hair up, and was looking at the information Tang Wanhua had given her.

Caught off guard by Lu Anlan's voice, she instinctively turned her head and asked, "What?"
