Chapter Thirty-One: Pei Yuli Can't Be Persuaded
Xu Yihuan looked at Pei Yuli and spoke without holding back, her Yuncheng dialect flowing smoothly from her lips.
After scolding Xu Yihuan, he slung his backpack over his shoulder and left.
Pei Yuli's face froze upon hearing this.
Although he never returned after going to the capital.
But he grew up in Yuncheng, so how could he not understand what Xu Yihuan was saying?
I never expected my younger sister to have such a big temper.
Pei Yuli looked in Xu Yihuan's direction and suddenly laughed out loud.
Wu Qingqing couldn't understand.
He turned to look at the two of them, completely bewildered.
"Huh? Why did Huanhuan leave?"
Pei Yuli put his hands in his pockets, showing no intention of helping Wu Qingqing at all.
"They've already packed their things and left, so of course they're leaving."
"It's okay, Qingqing, take your time packing. I'll wait for you in the car downstairs."
After saying that, Pei Yuli slowly strolled downstairs behind Xu Yihuan.
Wu Qingqing paused in her book-moving motion, and the corner of her mouth twitched involuntarily.
Huh? Are you serious?
She specifically left everything behind because Pei Yuli was coming, just waiting for him to find someone to help her...
Watching Pei Yuli's figure walk further and further away.
Wu Qingqing glanced at the books piled up in the drawers and the cabinet behind.
A sense of powerlessness welled up inside me.
"Brother Yuli!"
Pei Yuli didn't even stop walking.
"My dear Qingqing, I'll be waiting for you at the gate."
His voice was as gentle as ever, with an air of detachment and nonchalance.
Wu Qingqing took a deep breath.
"Depend on!"
I still have no choice but to miserably move things.
After all, Zhou Yanzhe's driver might not be able to help her bring the things back.
It's a long way back from here. Pei Yuli has finally come. If we miss this opportunity, we'll never have another chance.
In the next class, Tan Zhixu and his classmates were also moving things.
"Ah Xu, do you want my driver to take your things back to you?" Qiu Tianyi asked kindly as he stood by the table, holding a pile of books.
Tan Zhixu was holding a transparent plastic shopping bag from a supermarket.
They just stuffed the books in there haphazardly.
Hearing this, he waved his hand.
"No need, I've almost finished packing, this is all that's left."
Tan Zhixu's blue and white school uniform jacket was still open, with the sleeves rolled up to his forearms, revealing the veins running upwards.
Qiu Tianyi didn't say anything, just nodded and left.
Chen Zhiyuan gave a sneer.
"Our top student uses plastic bags to carry his books? Isn't he afraid they'll break?"
"Why don't you beg me, and I'll have my driver carry it back for you?"
Chen Zhiyuan and Tan Zhixu had always been at odds, so naturally they wouldn't miss this good opportunity to mock each other.
Tan Zhixu didn't even look up.
"You like being a good person? There's a mountain in Sichuan with a Buddha in it. Ask him to come down so you can sit on it."
Chen Zhiyuan was furious: "You!"
Upon hearing these familiar words, Zhou Yanzhe's originally indifferent expression stiffened.
It seemed to have stirred up some unpleasant memories.
"Alright, forget about him. Let's pack our things and go home."
Zhou Yanzhe spoke calmly, but his cool demeanor betrayed an underlying irritation.
Perhaps sensing Zhou Yanzhe's unusual behavior, Chen Zhiyuan didn't say anything more.
She simply said haughtily, "I'm too lazy to argue with you."
Tan Zhixu bent over and tidied up the things in the drawer.
My gaze casually fell upon the pink notebook.
Tan Zhixu paused for a moment, then reached for his notebook and carefully placed it aside.
Chen Zhiyuan was constantly paying attention to Tan Zhixu.
My eyes met those of this notebook and it felt strangely familiar.
He slapped his thigh.
Hey! Isn't this the one Xu Yihuan gave to Tan Zhixu when she came to class last time?
Chen Zhiyuan's gaze remained fixed on Xu Yihuan's notebook, unmoving.
After packing up his things and stacking them neatly, Tan Zhixu placed the notebook on top.
Then, with his backpack slung over one shoulder and books in both hands, he turned and left the classroom.
However, what Tan Zhixu failed to notice was...
Just as he was leaving with the books.
A pink envelope fell out of the notebook.
Upon seeing the envelope, Chen Zhiyuan's narrow eyes immediately lit up with excitement.
If I'm not mistaken, this fell out of Xu Yihuan's notebook!
Things packaged in these pink envelopes.
Chen Zhiyuan didn't need to think much; he could tell at a glance that it was definitely a love letter!
As Chen Zhiyuan thought about it, his gaze toward the love letter on the ground became even more intense.
He wanted to see what was written inside!
Chen Zhiyuan looked around and slowly and carefully moved to the vicinity of Tan Zhixu's position.
When no one is looking, quickly step on the envelope!
Just as I was about to bend down to pick it up, a cold voice came from behind me.
"What are you doing? Move aside."
Zhou Yanzhe's face was expressionless, and he was glancing down at Chen Zhiyuan.
Feeling guilty, Chen Zhiyuan jumped up and immediately stood up straight.
He chuckled twice and said, "N-nothing...it's nothing."
Zhou Yanzhe raised an eyebrow, but didn't ask any further questions. He carried the books and walked past him.
Chen Zhiyuan only bent down to pick up the things after Zhou Yanzhe left.
Looking at the pink and fragrant envelope in his hand, Chen Zhiyuan immediately became excited!
This must be a love letter written by Xu Yihuan! I just don't know who it's for.
Could it be written for Tan Zhixu? After all, this notebook was lent to Tan Zhixu, and no one knows if she wanted to use this opportunity to confess her feelings.
But that doesn't quite make sense, Xu Yihuan clearly liked Zhou Yanze a lot before...
Chen Zhiyuan felt he had sniffed out a shocking piece of gossip, and the more he thought about it, the more excited he became.
I couldn't wait to open the envelope and see what was inside.
However, at this very moment...
A shout came from the doorway.
"Chen Zhiyuan, what are you dawdling about? I've been waiting for you downstairs for ages and you're still not done?"
A girl wearing a slanted top and wide-leg pants stood in front of the door, holding a cup of coffee in her hand.
The girl was about twenty years old, her hair was casually clipped with a hair clip, and she wore glasses on the bridge of her nose.
Her clothes appeared casual, but she was decked out in designer brands.
The girl pushed her sunglasses up to the top of her head and leaned against the door frame.
He looked at Chen Zhiyuan with great impatience.
Upon hearing this, Chen Zhiyuan felt the envelope in his hand become scorching hot, as if it were on fire.
It was tossed around in his hand a few times before Chen Zhiyuan caught it and quickly put it into his school uniform pocket.
She turned around and gave Chen Zhiyang a fawning smile.
"Okay...okay, sis, I'll be right there."
Chen Zhiyang rolled his eyes and put his sunglasses back on.
He urged again, "Hurry up."
Then he leaned against the wall and played on his phone.
No matter how domineering Chen Zhiyuan was at school, he dared not disobey his older sister.
I didn't dare look at the envelope anymore.
He casually tucked the stuff into a book, then quickly rolled it up and carried it away.
The stack of books blocked his view, but he kept running towards the door.
Swaying from side to side, he shouted, "Sister, let's go!"
