"Teacher, long time no see." He Zhijin saluted him. This was his mentor who had brought him up since he was a child. Although he had retired from the entertainment industry, he would come here to accompany Senior Sun during the holidays as long as he was not working.
"Is this the kid you introduced?" Elder Sun stood up and walked towards him, looking at him carefully before speaking to him.
"I was wondering who it was. This kid, who's only been in the industry for a year, doesn't look that great either. He still has that goofy energy that's untainted by society."
"Father!" Yu Bao was the first to object. He was not happy with what his father said about his little idol.
Madam Yang patted her shoulder, shook her head and told her to be quiet.
"Teacher, you might as well get to know him better before making a decision." He Zhijin said, "This kid is very talented and works hard..."
"So far, I have only accepted you as my apprentice. There are many people in the circle who are talented and willing to work hard. Do you think I should accept all of them as my apprentice?" Senior Sun glanced at Jing Zuohuai indifferently.
It was not difficult for Jing Zuohuai to tell from the look in Senior Sun's eyes that he did not want to accept him as his disciple.
He was not discouraged nor disappointed. After all, he was just here to try it out. It was an honor for him to meet Senior Sun.
"Teacher, you promised me..."
"Hello, Senior Sun. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jing Zuohuai." Jing Zuohuai handed the gift he had brought to Yubao. "I'm sorry to bother you on this first visit. I heard you like tea, so I brought some. I hope it suits your taste."
"I know I'm inexperienced and far from qualified to be your apprentice. I was truly flattered when Senior He offered to introduce me to you. Now I'm honored to be able to meet you. Furthermore, my presence at your house today has already added the most brilliant chapter to my life's history. I have no regrets."
Only then did Elder Sun look him in the eye. The boy's eyes shone, and what he said was true; they were filled with respect and admiration.
"I know I disturbed your peace today. I will leave soon." He Zhijin quietly wiped the sweat from his palms and slowly took out a small notebook from his pocket.
"Senior, could you please sign an autograph for me? I, I really admire you. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."
"Hmm?" Elder Sun looked at the small notebook he handed over with both hands and couldn't help but smile. "You are quite interesting, little kid. Okay, I'll sign it for you."
"Oh, I haven't signed in a long time. The world changes so quickly. I didn't expect a young man like you to know me." She signed the notebook skillfully, closed it and handed it to him. "Where did you get this kid? He's quite good."
"That's how we met." He Zhijin helped him sit down and handed the tea to the servant. "You're still the same. Just now, I thought you didn't want to accept him anymore."
"I want to let him come over and then go back. When I really go back, my daughter will make trouble with me." Old Senior Sun shook his head. It was his daughter's fault for liking him. He Zhijin was also a person who would use force first and courtesy later.
First, he mailed two autographed magazines to Yubao, and then sent her recent photos of him. Now he brought her here directly, and he told me the news two days ago.
Haha, sooner or later I will be pissed off to death by this bastard apprentice.
Fortunately, I had investigated Jing Zuohuai and had some understanding of him, otherwise I would not have let him in.
He Zhijin: "The person I recommend will not be wrong."
"Father, you really scared me to death." Yu Bao pouted with some dissatisfaction. The attitude just now seemed to mean that he disdained him. Fortunately, the other person had a good temper and didn't mind, otherwise who would be willing to listen to you, an old man?
"Alright, alright, I was just trying to scare him, it was just a joke." Old Senior Sun smiled at him, nodded and asked him to sit down.
Madam Yang took him to the side of Elder Sun, pressed his shoulders and asked him to sit down.
"Eh?" What does this mean? Shouldn't I go back? Why is he sitting down?
Jing Zuohuai was a little uneasy and listened nervously to He Zhijin and Senior Sun reminiscing about the past. Yu Bao sat obediently next to Madam Yang and kept staring at Jing Zuohuai. Madam Yang laughed at her and said that she looked like a crazy fangirl.
"Jing Zuohuai, you still haven't reacted?" Elder Sun looked at the child who hadn't recovered from his shock. "Okay, why are you so stubborn?"
Jing Zuohuai hadn't reacted yet. He looked at He Zhijin with a dull look, as if saying: Save me. I didn't know how to answer. What does this mean, Senior Sun?
"Teacher, look how scared you made the little boy." He Zhijin expressed his understanding and nodded to let him trust him. "Little boy, why don't you come and greet the teacher?"
Hmm? What?
"Why? Do you want me to stand up and beg you to worship me?" Senior Sun snorted.
"Oh no!" Jing Zuhuai quickly stood up, leaping from his chair. He walked to Elder Sun in a daze, bowed at a standard ninety-degree angle, and shouted, "Hello, teacher."
Madam Yang, Yu Bao and He Zhijin were very surprised. They didn't expect Jing Zuohuai to do such a thing.
This action reminded Senior Sun of the first time he met He Zhijin.
He Zhijin has lived with his grandmother since he was a child. Back then, they were neighbors. Yubao is a few years younger than He Zhijin. She started kindergarten when he was in elementary school.
When Yubao was little, she loved to stick to her handsome brother. Unfortunately, the handsome brother was very cold and ignored her.
Grandma He was kind and a great cook. Madam Yang was in poor health and couldn't cook either. At the time, Senior Sun's career was just starting to pick up, and she was often away from home. When Grandma He found out, she often brought her meals, and the two families began to interact. Grandma was kind and skillful, often making garlands for Yubao and teaching her to identify flowers and their fragrance.
