"How's Xiaojing? Is he okay?" Wen Lai'an hurried back from the studio. She'd finished her work and just as she had some free time, she saw the bloody online chatter. After learning the whole story, she wanted to tear these marketing accounts apart.
It was clearly a premeditated plot, a plot that had lasted nearly a year.
Her husband shook his head. Ever since Jing Zuhuai came back, the child had been locked up in the room. There had been no movement from inside, and he didn't know whether that was a good thing or a bad thing.
"I left Yuyu with Dad. He'd be sad if he saw Xiaojing like this, and it would be even more chaotic if they started arguing." Wen Laian drank a glass of water to moisten his throat. "Did Dad contact you? He must know about such a big thing."
"No, but I don't think he'll just sit there and watch." The second brother squeezed her shoulders and said, "I've already sent my men to check, but the IP address display is a mess, so we need to check the details. We'll have results tonight at the latest, so don't worry."
Even if I say so, I wouldn't be saying I'm not anxious or worried. When my second brother learned the news, he immediately sent someone to handle it. News spreads so quickly on the Internet that even the best efforts couldn't stop it.
Wen Lian was now very annoyed. "All this public opinion came out at once, simply to destroy him. Negative influence is the most difficult to deal with. Even if these false opinions are exposed, as soon as he makes a mistake in the future, they will be used again to drag him down, and the bloodbath will start again."
"The best way is to quickly find the person behind this and fight back, using even more dirty laundry to cover up the incident and divert public anger."
"I have already used my company's connections to investigate, and I will seek my father's help if necessary."
This is the child he has raised since he was a child, and he will definitely help him out of affection.
"Husband, do you think I did something wrong?"
Wen Lai'an, who had gradually calmed down, turned around and hugged her husband. She couldn't help but wonder if she had done something wrong. When Jing Zuohuai wanted to enter the entertainment industry and film, she was the first person to support him. She felt that Jing Zuohuai could gain a foothold in the industry. After all, his face was very recognizable and his personality was good.
As she expected, her first exposure garnered her a small amount of fame before she even started. She then signed with a major agency without any help from her family, and gained a strong following, so her career path has been pretty smooth. But her current situation is also due to her own support.
I have heart disease, my physiology and sleep patterns are often disrupted, and I can't resolve conflicts with my family...
For the first time, I felt indebted to this brother-in-law.
Her husband hugged her and comforted her softly, "You did nothing wrong. It was you who helped Xiaojing find her own future. It's not your fault." He kissed her forehead.
"It's those people on the internet who should be sorry, not you."
His deep voice soothed her. Feeling a little better, Wen Lian raised her head and kissed him, then stood up. "You're right, so I'm going to plan an emergency plan with my team! I haven't been down the mountain for a long time. It's time to let these people know my abilities again!"
"Leaving now? What time will you be back in the evening?"
"Besides, you might just live in the studio." Wen Lian picked up his bag. "Your task now is to take good care of your brother, okay?"
Okay, have you known for a long time that your wife is a workaholic?
"Yes, Your Majesty." I will continue to spoil my wife, whom I have spoiled since she was a child.
The crew also announced the postponement, and Jing Zuohuai quit WeChat and joined Weibo.
There were tons of Weibo messages, and countless private messages, with new content constantly coming in. Some were telling him to get out of the entertainment industry, while others believed in their fans and waited for him to produce evidence.
Jing Zuohuai took advantage of his moment of clarity to figure out the whole story. The military training photos that had initially gone viral were being rehashed, with people saying things like, "That's when the character creation started." Then there was the idea of bringing in money to snatch up new talent, and buying off connections to secure popular IPs.
Next came the homosexuality accusations, saying that he had improper relationships with other artists and was an unchaste celebrity.
Photos of her having dinner with Ke Huo, and of Ke Huo kissing and hugging her when drunk, as well as photos from the set, of Li Yiming privately approaching her for a scene, and of him entering her room, were all leaked. Some speculated that she liked He Zhijin, initially because of her fondness for him during the Chiyang incident, and now that he signed with her studio, it was out of love.
Someone claiming to be an insider also posted on Weibo to criticize him. They posted photos of themselves dining with Wen Laian, Jin Ling, and Yaoxing's friends. They even posted photos of the second brother picking up Yuyu. They were labeled as having used backdoors and secretly married and had children.
This is just the initial public opinion.
Later, someone posted a before-and-after photo of themselves, showing a noticeably thinner figure. I don't know where they got the pictures from, but they actually posted their own medicine bottle. There was no label on it, and since they didn't know what the medicine was, they started making their own assumptions, saying it was some drug and that Jing Zuohuai was an addict.
What he said was so convincing that I almost believed it.
The photo of Nvchang was obviously a composite. Jing Zuohuai had never been to the entertainment club, so there were no photos taken there. This was self-defeating.
The top topics on the trending searches were all about him. When had he ever been so popular before? Jing Zuohuai sneered.
He didn't dare to read some of the entries, especially the one about school violence. It was real, but only the consequences, not the causes. He had to admit, these people were really good at digging up things, forcing him to recall things he didn't want to recall.
I casually scrolled down and found that my friends were also forwarding the public relations of my studio.
