Their car was parked not far away, and Jing Zuohuai drove them to the next scenic spot. Along the way, they saw deer, a herd of cattle at the foot of the mountain, and even chased the Snowpiercer for a while.
Instead of returning to where they lived, they stopped in a small town to rest.
The houses here are wooden, with a thick layer of snow on the roofs. Trains can be seen coming and going in the town, carrying travelers who come to explore.
The guesthouse also has some fawns, and after talking to Elder Sun on the phone, Yubao couldn't wait to go feed them. They also rent Mongolian costumes, so Yubao dragged them over to try them on.
Yubao was the first to get dressed. She chose a dress with a retro pattern and a navy blue hat. It was simple and plain, and she looked like someone in a high position of power. However, she couldn't smile, as it would have felt a bit out of place.
Jing Zuohuai was wearing a red and white patchwork Mongolian robe, and He Zhijin was wearing something similar, black and white.
"So beautiful, so beautiful!" Yubao was busy taking pictures. "Come and take a photo! When I get a chance, I'll post this picture on Weibo. It will definitely make your fans envious!"
"There will definitely be a chance." He Zhijin comforted her.
In the evening, the owner of the B&B was making dumplings in the lobby. There would be a lot of guests coming tomorrow, so we had to prepare in advance.
Jing Zuohuai saw this scene after he changed his clothes. People who didn't know each other were gathered together, talking and laughing while making dumplings. He was very interested in this scene.
The enthusiastic proprietress pulled him into the dumpling-making camp, and Jing Zuohuai had no choice but to listen to their conversation and make dumplings obediently.
He Zhijin came out to check on the situation, watching Jing Zuohuai awkwardly making dumplings in the crowd with a look of apprehension. He took a photo, after all, it was rare to see Jing Zuohuai like this.
The next morning, Jing Zuhuai opened He Zhijin's door. They had agreed to ride to the next campsite. Yubao had eaten skewers and drank some wine the previous night, then stayed up late, clutching his phone to jot down his inspiration.
The shop had prepared docile horses for them, and Jing Zuohuai and He Zhijin had learned how to ride them before, so they were able to handle them. The next attraction was not far away, and the two of them galloped across the snow, one in front of the other.
They came to the deep forest, which was where the locals came.
There's a campsite a short distance away, and it's well-equipped. The campsite is made of tents, and there are oil lamps hanging from the branches outside. Someone must have just left, as the lights are still on!
"Does it feel like an adventure?" Jing Zuhuai smiled as he sat inside.
He Zhijin nodded.
"Alright!" Jing Zuohuai stood up and brushed off the snow on his body, "Let's go to the next destination."
The next site was some distance away, so they drove to the volcanic ruins.
The scene here is a bit desolate, but it is also a bit shocking. When the car stopped on the asphalt road, the corner of the volcano was very photogenic.
The texture of the land here is that of sand and gravel, very much like the scenes seen in science fiction movies. Jing Zuohuai led He Zhijin to climb up the volcano. The sand and gravel were very loose and not easy to climb.
"Wuhu!" Jing Zuohuai shouted after climbing up the volcano.
A rare relaxation, a rare indulgence.
"Senior, do you know that here, the wind leaves traces." Jing Zuohuai said, looking into the distance, "Look, the wind blows the snow and leaves traces of veins. These are the traces of the wind."
"People say that the wind is invisible and uncatchable, but you see, it is also trying hard to prove its existence." Jing Zuohuai turned his head and looked at him.
“It feels absurd and lonely here, but after getting to know it, I found that it is full of loneliness and freedom.”
He Zhijin gestured for him to continue.
"I quite like it here." Jing Zuohuai, "It makes me feel more relaxed than ever before."
He Zhijin felt the same way. When he saw the rime, he felt his soul purified, a sense of holiness washed over him, and he felt much more relaxed, as if the obsession in his heart had been let go.
He was like an ordinary traveler, free from worries.
When we returned to Teacher He in the evening, we happened to encounter the Nadam event. We changed into our costumes and quickly joined in.
A wooden cart was piled with wood, decorated with colorful ribbons, and topped with some firewood, which ignited a blazing fire. After some activities, they danced around the bonfire. Even in the temperature of over 30 degrees below zero, everyone was still full of enthusiasm.
"Senior." He Zhijin tied an ornament around his waist. Jing Zuohuai nodded, indicating that it matched well. "The sunflowers are handmade by herdsmen. They symbolize good luck and beauty."
"In this religious nation, fire is sacred. It can drive away all diseases and sufferings and ensure people's health and longevity."
"So, senior." Jing Zuohuai looked at him with bright eyes, "This year, everything will go smoothly for you."
