Jing Zuohuai was shocked once when taking the final photos.
Now the shooting has officially started. After the staff finished putting on my makeup and getting my armor and costume ready, I stood in front of the mirror and was shocked again.
The man in the mirror had long hair extensions, which were held in a small crown on his head. He was wearing armor, a sword at his waist, and a leather belt framing his figure.
The weight on his shoulders and arms made him feel more involved. He had no idea that he had such a face.
He looks heroic, like a battle-hardened general, as if he was born for the battlefield.
"Oh my God, Brother Jing, you must be Xiao Han himself. You look so much like him!" The makeup artist will be intoxicated by him no matter how many times she sees him.
Jing Zuohuai's face is very versatile and suitable for different types of roles. An actor needs this kind of temperament.
This drama is a costume drama, and he plays Xiao Han, a young general with great ambitions but who chooses not to follow the right path. Xiao's father is a general who protects the country and is highly appreciated by the emperor. He also praises and dotes on his children.
Xiao Han grew up in a manor, with an older sister and a younger brother. He was pampered and lived a carefree life. However, when Xiao Han came of age, his father was murdered by a treacherous official and died in battle on the frontier.
The second brother volunteered to join the army in his father's place on the battlefield, and thereafter settled in the frontier. The eldest sister married a doctor, but due to her poor health, she conceived a son eight years after marriage. However, her husband accidentally fell off a cliff while collecting herbs and died.
She was so heartbroken that her health deteriorated and she and her unborn baby died during childbirth.
Xiao Han, now admitted to the imperial court, served the nation and met the gentle and resourceful Princess Sun Jingya. Their shared vision led to numerous schemes, and a love blossomed between them. Three years later, news arrived from the border: Xiao's second brother had died for his country. Surrounding nations were eager to seize the nation, hungry wolves eager to gnaw at the soon-to-be-overwhelmed fat meat. Seeing the nation's rotten state, Xiao Han, following his second brother's example, offered his final contribution to the nation, fulfilling his duty as a member of the Xiao family.
At the end of the story, the coveted nation raises its flag on its territory. Xiao Han sits wounded on the edge of a cliff. The eldest princess, dressed in plain clothes, covers him with a general's cloak and embraces him from behind. He looks up at the sky, as if seeing his family. Xiao's father and mother gaze upon him with satisfaction, pleased that their child has achieved such success. His eldest sister touches his head and praises his hard work. His second brother lamely says he's done a decent job...
The story ends here. The series only filmed this far, following the original novel. The novel depicts Xiao Han returning home, being appointed the Grand General of the Nation and marrying the eldest princess. The Xiao and Sun couple set out to reform the nation's corruption, but eventually grew disillusioned with the nation and both perished in the political chaos.
The story's setting attracted Jing Zuhuai greatly. When he saw himself wearing Xiao Han's clothes, it was as if he were actually seeing Xiao Han himself.
"Xiao Han..." Jing Zuohuai touched the figure in the mirror. He didn't know why he had this idea. He just wanted to touch him, or even hug him.
He seemed to understand Xiao Han a little bit, and that mentality was understandable, but specifically... he was still a little confused.
Shang Miao saw him lost in thought, staring at himself in the mirror, and thought he was mesmerized by himself. He quietly approached him from behind and suddenly jumped in front of him, "What are you thinking about, brother? Are you mesmerized by yourself?"
Jing Zuohuai turned around and knocked on her head, then heard the field teacher calling him to come over quickly.
The first scene went relatively smoothly. The warm-up scene was mainly to let the actors get familiar with each other in advance so that they would not be awkward when interacting with each other later.
[@Bayu Headlines: Shocking! According to industry insiders, a popular boy band will disband soon, for unknown reasons.]
[It starts again! This kind of gossip always comes up around this time.]
[Hey, that incredibly popular boy band? Besides the Alphabet Boy Band, who else has been working non-stop lately? Is it really necessary for marketing accounts to target them like this?]
[Are marketing accounts so crazy now? This is kind of naming names.]
[It’s amazing! Even if all the marketing accounts in the world go bankrupt, your S group dad will still exist for a long time!]
[But, it seems, um, S Group hasn't renewed their contract yet. I'm not trying to stir up trouble, there's really no such news.]
[Everyone is busy. Xiaoliyu complains about work on Weibo every day. It's normal to be busy. I think the post will be continued soon.]
[Don't worry, sister in front. Luobo just sent me a private message saying we won't disband. Don't worry.]
"Bu Wei, have you replied?" Qiu Chi looked at the comments below. He had a lot of headaches recently. "Didn't I tell him not to reply anytime soon? Fan Li has been trying to refrain from posting complaints, so why are you..."
Bu Wei casually posted a Weibo post, telling everyone not to listen to rumors. The group was harmonious, and no one had any plans to leave. He was a little tired, but he was enjoying the process. The comments were trending positively, and he finally smiled. "Look."
Showing him the phone interface, "Everyone is worried. We can't keep them guessing. What are you worried about, brother? With the popularity we have now, are you afraid that Chiyang won't sign us?"
He Zhijin sat on the armrest of the sofa, sipping water and looking away. Qiuchi lowered his eyes, preoccupied. Fan Li had heard Qiuchi say some unpleasant things. He usually complained online about being tired and sleepy, ignoring fans' questions. Zheng Siyuan, though quite generous, had noticed something unusual about the recent behavior.
Seeing their silence, Bu Wei suddenly felt a little flustered. "Hey, hey, hey everyone, are we really going to disband? I've already clarified it on Weibo, so don't mess with me now!"
As soon as he said this, he realized he had lost the point. "No, that's not the point! Is the company stupid enough to disband us when we're at the peak of our visibility? Impossible. Otherwise... someone in our group wants to leave! Who is it? Stand up yourself, don't force me to do it."
