Chapter 189,/.

"I..." he began hesitantly.

The second brother just patted his shoulder and ruffled his hair. "It's okay, you don't have to explain to me. I won't say anything and I won't ask anything. Just eat, sleep and rest peacefully."

Everyone cares about themselves, but they are the only ones who are degrading themselves.

"Okay." Jing Zuhuai nodded and turned to wash up.

The second brother changed his clothes and prepared to go out, and reminded him, "Oh, by the way, don't go online for the next few days, okay? Don't pay attention to the public opinion online. People are very angry nowadays. They can say that white is black. And they spread rumors as soon as they open their mouths. People only want to see what they want to see. There is no need to argue with them."

"I left your card on the table. You haven't been out for a few days, so go for a stroll in the park." He helped him straighten his collar. "Remember to wear a mask and a hat when you go out. Even in the community, you must protect your privacy, okay?"

Jing Zuohuai nodded obediently.

"Good girl!" He smiled. "Okay, your sister-in-law will come over tonight, and I'll bring some chicken soup."

After seeing his second brother off, Jing Zuhuai sat at the dining table. This was his favorite dish, specially made for him by his second brother. It still had the familiar taste and color, but he had no appetite now and couldn't eat a single bit.

Would it be better if he went out for a walk? Jing Zuohuai thought. He hadn't taken his medicine today, so he should be fine.

One downside to taking medicine on an empty stomach is nausea. For the past couple of days, I've felt like vomiting after taking the medicine, and every time I do, it feels like I'm going to throw up my stomach.

It's very uncomfortable, but after the discomfort passes, you will feel sleepy.

I heard that eating sugar would help, but I didn’t have any sugar at home, so I went out to buy some.

The environment outside is different from home. At least the air is better. Two days without food or water will make you lose your strength. Jing Zuohuai rested for a while on a bench next to the flower bed before going to the supermarket to buy candy.

The supermarket was busier than usual, and Jing Zuohuai was a little frightened. But since he was dressed warmly, he thought nothing would happen. Hesitantly, he went looking for candy.

I used to be able to handle it well, but not now. Jing Zuohuai secretly laughed at himself.

Jing Zuohuai, you are so useless.

He quickly picked out what he wanted, but there were so many people queuing up to pay that Jing Zuohuai had no choice but to wait in line.

When it was almost his turn, a little girl behind him was pushed by someone behind him. As luck would have it, her cart suddenly broke down, and the things inside were scattered all over the floor. Jing Zuohuai was hit by the car unexpectedly, and the wound on his waist was touched. The pain made him break out in a cold sweat.

"Oh! Sorry!" The little girl apologized quickly and lowered her head to pick up her things.

Jing Zuohuai was not the kind of person who liked to argue, so he squatted down to help her pick up the things.

The little girl's eyes were full of gratitude, and she thanked him quickly. Jing Zuohuai shook his head and said softly that it was okay. But the little girl seemed to see something and said in surprise, "Ah, you, are you..."

Hearing her words, Jing Zuhuai suddenly felt terrified. A moment of shock made him feel a little overwhelmed. He found that everyone around him was looking at him. He didn't dare to look into their eyes, fearing that he would see contempt and ridicule. He didn't want to go through this situation again. He had had enough.

I’ve had enough!

"You are..." The girl was still immersed in her own joy.

Jing Zuohuai quickly refused, "No, I'm not!" and turned and ran away.

He fled like a mouse. He was afraid of experiencing the previous situation again. He no longer had the courage to face it, nor did he want to face it again.

But just as he lowered his head and ran forward, he bumped into someone.

"I'm sorry!" He turned around and wanted to run away, but only by running back home could he feel safe for a moment.

But the man grabbed his wrist and prevented him from escaping. Jing Zuohuai felt a little pain in his wrist, but he kept his head down.

"It's me, don't be afraid." He Zhijin held him in his arms.

It's only been a few days since we last met, and how come you've lost some weight again? You still don't look well and look very haggard.

"Let's go home, everything is fine."

-

Jing Zuohuai's sudden departure had him truly terrified. Although he knew he wouldn't do anything out of line, he still couldn't help but worry. When he learned from Shang Miao that Jing Zuohuai was staying here, he seized every opportunity to finish the work at hand, sent the written response plan to Shang Miao, and only came to see him after he had dealt with it.

When I can't see him, I am always worried and anxious, afraid that something might happen to him.

When he drove to the door downstairs, He Zhijin realized that he shouldn't go up empty-handed. After all, it was his brother's house, and it would be a bit rude to go up empty-handed.

But unexpectedly, upon entering the supermarket, I saw Jing Zuhuai, who was on the verge of losing control. He was in a very bad state and was obviously afraid of his surroundings.

Fingerprint recognition was used to enter the room. The room was spacious, with a simple and elegant layout, reminiscent of a business-style decor. That was the initial impression, but once you got used to it, everything felt like home. This residential complex is truly upscale. Not only do vehicles require passes to enter, but even entering the apartment building requires a card or even facial recognition.

He Zhijin settled him down. His condition was really not right. Moreover, he had only been gone for a few days, and he was so thin that only bones were left.

A feeling of heartache welled up in my heart, and it was very uncomfortable.

"Do you want to take medicine? Where is it? I'll get it for you."

But Jing Zuhuai just shook his head, wrapped himself in the quilt, and didn't want to look at him.

The more this happens, the more heartbroken I feel. I want to hear him speak, even if it's just an interjection.

"But you're not in the right state now, you..."
