Chapter 25: Didn't we agree that only players are here?
The cold light slashed through the monster's body, splitting it in two.
The black body instantly fell to the ground with red liquid splashing around. Almost at the same time, someone pulled Yin Xiu's left hand, and the little girl suddenly fell out of his arms.
"Brother, help me--!" the little girl screamed in panic.
Yin Xiu was distracted for a moment and subconsciously wanted to protect the little girl on his left hand, but she disappeared extremely quickly and disappeared without a trace before she could even finish shouting for help. At the same time, Wang Guang behind him also disappeared.
"Yin Xiu! Pay attention to the front!" Zhong Mu screamed and reminded.
Yin Xiu turned around and saw the black monster had already pounced in front of him, opening its bloody mouth and revealing its sharp teeth aimed at his head.
However, the next second, the long sword swung, and the sword tip pierced the monster's mouth fiercely, and its body was kicked back by Yin Xiu.
The two monsters disappeared in a flash, and the one behind was more ferocious, staring at him with red eyes.
Yin Xiu took a deep breath, his eyes extremely cold. He looked at the monsters, and the handle of the knife he was holding made a slight sound.
Zhong Mu could sense that he was very angry now. He took two steps back in fear and fell to the ground in panic. He watched Yin Xiu holding a long sword rush into the group of black monsters in an instant.
The monster didn't attack him actively, but he went up on his own. This was very strange for Yin Xiu, who didn't even participate in quarrels and always used calmness to control movement. The only thing he could think of was that he was angry. He might have thought that the little girl was taken away by the monster.
In a moment of distraction, blood splattered in the group of monsters. Yin Xiu couldn't even see the figures surging inside, but he could catch a glimpse of the long knife. Wherever it reached, there was the roar of monsters, which was extremely shrill.
Rather than the monsters attacking him, it looked more like he was slaughtering the monsters. The scene was extremely horrifying.
"Young monsters please watch this video in the company of an adult monster."
"...No wonder this combat power came from killing dungeons before."
"It's a bit scary, guys. I don't know why it makes me a little scared."
"Hmm... he's in a rage. I'm sure this isn't the correct way to get through it, but... there's no way I can stop him now, right?"
"If he kills all the townspeople, will it affect the dungeon?"
“Maybe…”
"That's all Wang Guang's fault! I just saw him use props to snatch the little girl away!"
"He wants to abandon these people and run away."
"Someone stop him, I'm really worried he'll kill all the townspeople and affect the dungeon."
"You can't stop it, right? How are we supposed to get through here?"
"Look at the rules. Bringing the little girl back will inevitably trigger this, so there must be a solution. Just follow the rules and don't enter the townspeople's homes."
"Is that the self-contained solution you mentioned?"
After Yin Xiu fought bloody battles with the monsters, many monsters retreated and wanted to run away, but Yin Xiu would not let them leave.
At first, there were still monsters that insisted on rushing forward to fight with Yin Xiu. However, as corpses fell one after another, the monsters began to panic and wanted to retreat. No one dared to take the initiative to attack again.
The situation slowly reached a stalemate. Coincidentally, at this moment, a familiar voice suddenly rang out from outside the group of monsters, shouting to stop them: "It's broad daylight! Who told you to come out of the house? You don't want to live anymore, do you?"
As soon as the voice sounded, the monsters seemed to have completed their mission. No one wanted to stay any longer and they scattered in all directions in an instant. They fled to their houses in a panic and slammed the doors shut. Almost in the blink of an eye, the densely populated black street was cleared, leaving only a figure standing in the middle of the road.
The person who came was the mayor.
He glanced around at the corpses scattered all over the ground, and focused his attention on the figure in the center.
Yin Xiu stood between the corpses of the monsters, holding a long sword. His white clothes were covered in blood, which was stained scarlet. Drops of blood slid down the blade, just like his breath at the moment, sharp and dangerous.
"Is there something wrong?" Yin Xiu stared at the mayor, his pupils were extremely dark and cold, not like a living person.
Being suddenly questioned, the mayor rubbed his hands awkwardly and said, "I heard it was very noisy over here, so I came to check on you guys... Did you..."
He glanced around Yin Xiu, unable to ask a caring question. He could only slowly approach Yin Xiu, trying to harmonize the atmosphere. "I'm glad to see you're all right."
The middle-aged man, who looked very decisive, spread his hands with a gentle smile and said, "Don't be nervous. As the mayor, I apologize to you for not managing the people in this town well. How about putting away the knife first?"
He took a step forward, and the tip of the knife, dripping with blood, touched the mayor's throat.
Yin Xiu's eyes were cold, "Where's Yaya?"
The mayor looked innocent, "Who is Yaya? I don't know her."
Yin Xiu's eyes darkened, and the mayor hurriedly explained, "I really don't know him!"
Zhong Mu, who was behind, also quickly came over and said, "Yin Xiu, that little girl wasn't taken away by the monsters, it was Wang Guang!"
Yin Xiu glanced sideways and looked behind him. Wang Guang had indeed disappeared at some point, but Li Mo was also missing.
"It turned out to be him." Yin Xiu muttered gloomily, reached out to roll up the hem of his clothes, wiped the blood off the knife, and then put the knife away.
He had put away his murderous intent, but an air of indifference still lingered around him, as if he had just crawled out of a pile of dead bodies, lifeless. Zhong Mu, who was standing beside him, shivered for no reason.
The mayor, however, walked over with a smile, ignoring Zhong Mu. He stood firmly in front of Yin Xiu, looking him up and down with interest. He then extended his hand to Yin Xiu affectionately, "I hope you don't worry too much about them. If you're scared, I'll take you back."
Yin Xiu ignored him, walked straight past him, and ignored him completely.
The mayor smiled awkwardly, turned around, and followed Yin Xiu relentlessly, "Where are you going? Back to the house? It's still dangerous in this town. Can I go back with you?"
He walked around Yin Xiu, keeping his eyes on him.
If Yin Xiu, who usually wears a white shirt, looks like a beautiful statue when quiet, then Yin Xiu, who is now covered in blood, exudes an even more terrifying beauty.
His face was tinged with scarlet, and he looked cold and indifferent, like an exquisite corpse about to be placed in a coffin. Compared with the ugly monsters in the town, he was simply a noble work of art.
"Really? I'll take you back?" The mayor's extremely excited tone was almost uncontrollable. He put his hand on Yin Xiu's shoulder, as if threatening and persuading him.
However, the moment he touched Yin Xiu's body, an invisible chill crept up the mayor's back, and a huge oppressive force suddenly unfolded, silently putting pressure on him and intimidating him.
He looked up in panic and saw a figure standing in front of Yin Xiu. It was a smiling man. He stood there motionless, holding a little girl with a black suit jacket on her head in his hand.
"I'm back." Li Mo smiled and greeted softly. He licked the blood on his fingertips, announcing the result of his departure.
Although he appeared calm, an eerie and terrifying chill emanated from him, so threatening that the townspeople in the surrounding houses shrank back in fear.
The smile on the mayor's face froze, and a chill ran down his spine.
...Wasn’t it agreed that it was only for players?
Who is this man in front of him who is blatantly threatening him?
It doesn't exist in this copy at all?
