Chapter 27 We Sleep in Separate Rooms
In the dungeon, players only come together for the sake of profit, and there will be cases where they will sell out their teammates to protect themselves at critical moments. However, this approach can easily lead to isolation from other players. After all, no one wants to be the next one to be sold out.
But if the person being sold is the leader of a team, the problem becomes even bigger, as it is almost certain that this person will become a thorn in the eyes of the entire team.
The players who were still resting in the lobby almost immediately developed a sense of hostility towards them. No one said it explicitly, but their eyes showed that.
"We didn't sell him out." Zhong Mu snorted, crossing his arms over his chest and staring back unyieldingly. "How could we dare to sell out a big guy who came with his own props? He abandoned us and ran away alone. In the end, he didn't survive, but we who were among the monsters survived. He really deserved it."
Zhang Si's face was filled with disbelief. "Brother Guang wouldn't abandon his teammates so easily. And according to what you said, he escaped alone, so it's even more impossible for him to be dead. You must have left him behind."
"Do you think that if you sell one, the others can survive? The monsters in this copy are too easy to talk to. Anyway, I saw him escape. As for how he died...how would I know." Zhong Mu looked away.
Zhang Si still didn't believe it and pressed on, "Then how did you survive among the monsters? We don't believe you could have been attacked and returned unharmed."
Zhong Mu raised his finger and pointed at Yin Xiu, "Look, he's covered in blood. How can you say he's safe and sound? If he hadn't stopped the monsters, I wouldn't be standing here talking to you right now."
Everyone's eyes fell on Yin Xiu, who was covered in blood. They were speechless for a moment. At least it looked like he had been attacked, but this result was not convincing at all.
How could he, a man who looked lifeless and powerless, stop a group of monsters?
Zhang Si frowned, but still insisted that they were the ones who sold Wang Guang. His confident look made the commentators anxious.
"When can we let this person see our comments? I'm so anxious!"
"Once you enter the main area of the dungeon, players can no longer see the barrage. I think the dungeon is afraid of giving you a strategy guide, but I'm also really anxious to see it. Can you please tell who the boss is?"
"If they really treat Wang Guang as a big shot and isolate Yin Xiu, I'll be laughing so hard I won't be able to sleep."
"Looking at this development, it's really possible."
"I just hope that Zhang Si is alive and well. It would be best if he could survive the dungeon and let the players in his town give him a big fight so that they can recognize who is the boss."
The atmosphere in the hall was frozen. Yin Xiu was too lazy to argue with them any further. He simply raised his eyes and glanced around. "I sold the person. What can you do?"
"You! It's you! I felt something was wrong. You were covered in blood, but none of them were there. It was obvious that you were in danger, and then Wang Guang was sold out to death in order to save you." Zhang Si glared at Yin Xiu aggressively.
"So, what can you do?" Yin Xiu stared at him lazily, "Come and kill me?"
Zhang Si choked. The moment Yin Xiu said this, the little girl in his arms and his roommate in black clothes next to him looked at him suddenly. Their eyes were sinister, as if they wanted to eat someone.
Regardless of what his roommate is like, this little girl is really a cannibal.
"You...you give this little girl to us, and don't follow us when we go on missions in the future." Zhang Si didn't dare to touch Yin Xiu, so he could only take a step back and try to isolate him in other ways.
"Then you have to ask her if she's willing to follow you." Yin Xiu raised his hand and pinched the little girl's cheek in his arms, "Do you want to follow them?"
"No!" The little girl shook her head decisively, then tilted her head and leaned on Yin Xiu's chest, her voice very sweet, "I want to follow my brother."
Her reaction stunned the players around her. Who was this little girl with a sunny voice and a sweet temper? She wasn't the little monster who would get angry if the food she cooked wasn't tasty.
And why did she listen to Yin Xiu so much...
The players exchanged glances, seemingly lost in thought. They remembered that three days before the dungeon, the commentary mentioned a strategy expert who could tame small monsters. Judging by the current results, could that person be...
Before they could confirm, Zhang Si suddenly interrupted their thoughts and shouted at Yin Xiu, "What on earth are you capable of? You killed Brother Wang Guang and snatched the little girl away from him. Brother Wang Guang is obviously the boss, so what are you, a newcomer?"
His harsh words made Li Mo and the little girl's eyes instantly gloomy. A chill spread in the hall and descended upon every player. It was so cold that every breath they took felt like being pricked by needles.
"Okay, I'm going back to rest. You can think whatever you want." Yin Xiu interrupted them, walked calmly to the pillar in the hall, glanced at the rules on the pillar, and turned to go to the second floor.
Once he left, the others followed.
Only after Yin Xiu's figure completely disappeared from the stairs did the chill lingering in the lobby dissipate, allowing everyone to breathe a sigh of relief.
The players looked at each other and finally came to a conclusion. Even if they didn't like him, they should try not to provoke him. He seemed to be really not simple.
Yin Xiu went up to the second floor and walked around the corridor, recalling the rules of the house he had just seen.
Welcome to stay in the largest hotel in this town. Accommodation, food and drinks are free, and services are free. Please enjoy the preferential treatment of this town.
During your stay, please abide by the following hotel rules.
1. The room you stay in must be occupied by two people, and no other number of people are allowed to stay in the room.
2. During normal times, you can call the waiters in this house if you have any needs, but don’t pay attention to them after midnight and ignore them until dawn.
3. If you hear strange noises in the corridor at night, you must never open the door.
4. The toilet is at the stairs. If possible, try to go with someone accompanying you. You can also go alone, but be sure to ignore any sound.
5. Do not stare at the portraits in the house for a long time and ignore their voices.
6. Don’t go to the basement.
Yin Xiu was very concerned about the sixth item. It was obvious that there was a basement here. Places where no one was allowed to go usually hid deep secrets.
A few people walked around and found that most of the rooms on the second floor were occupied. It was not until they walked to the back of the second floor that they found two rooms close to each other that had not been occupied yet. Probably because this was the end of the corridor and a bit far from the toilet at the stairs, no one wanted to live here.
"I just saw the rules downstairs. The rooms here must be shared by two people." Yin Xiu hugged the little girl in his arms and pointed to one of the rooms. "Yaya and I will share one."
The corridor fell silent for a moment, and someone began to silently exude resentment.
Zhong Mu shuddered suddenly, and looked at the silent Li Mo beside him with a trembling face. If a couple was required, did he have to live with this mysterious roommate?
"I don't agree! I request to replace someone!" Zhong Mu objected immediately, and Li Mo nodded.
"No choice." Yin Xiu said coldly and carried the little girl into the room.
Zhong Mu looked at the man beside him with a look of panic. He was standing still but exuding resentment.
