Chapter 14 The Medical Palace

Bai Qingnian hurriedly led Long Qianling back to the Fox Palace.

He carefully placed Long Qianling on the table, then immediately turned and ran out to find some ointment for healing.

Medical Palace.

"Elder Gu, could you please give me some healing ointment and pills...?"

Bai Qingnian cautiously inquired of the middle-aged woman sitting in front of him.

The middle-aged woman, addressed as Elder Gu, glanced up at him and said impatiently, "No!"

"Elder Gu..." Bai Qingnian's eyes were red with anxiety. How could such a large medical palace not have healing ointments and pills? Elder Gu was clearly deliberately making things difficult for him.

But Xiao Hei was so badly injured that he was determined to get the healing ointment and medicine today no matter what.

Elder Gu's face darkened, and he said coldly, "It's no use begging me. If I don't have it, I don't have it!"

To put it nicely, Bai Shijiu is a descendant of the Fox Emperor; to put it bluntly, he's just a good-for-nothing.

She despised people with impure bloodlines, low cultivation levels, and who spent their days stealing medical skills from the Medical Palace.

The fox clan has always valued bloodlines, and someone like Bai Qingnian is simply not good enough for them.

"I...you..." Bai Qingnian gritted her teeth, her hands gripping the hem of her clothes tightly.

Elder Gu snorted coldly and made to leave, when he ran into Bai Shaoheng, who had just finished treating his wounds.

"Second Prince, has your medicine been changed? Is there still any discomfort?" Elder Gu's expression changed from cold and disdainful just moments before, and his old face instantly put on a fawning smile.

Bai Shaoheng gave a polite smile and replied gently, "I'm fine now, thank you for your help, Elder Gu."

Elder Gu nodded with a smile, unaware of the hint of impatience that flashed across Bai Shaoheng's eyes.

If it weren't for his image, he wouldn't have come to the Imperial Medical Palace to apply medicine himself.

Bai Shaoheng still had a faint smile on his lips. When he looked up, he saw Bai Qingnian standing not far away. He quickly walked over and asked, "Nineteen, what are you doing here? Are you injured?"

That shouldn't be the case. Didn't he refine the giant python's inner core? His injuries should have healed by now, so why is he still at the Medical Palace?

Bai Qingnian looked at Bai Shaoheng standing in front of her with reddened eyes.

"I'd like some healing ointment and pills, but Elder Gu said he doesn't have any..."

Bai Qingnian knew that only Bai Shaoheng could help her get the healing ointment and pills now, as Xiao Hei was so badly injured that it wouldn't be able to wait much longer.

Healing ointment? Could it be that Long Qianling is injured?

Bai Shaoheng glanced at Bai Qingnian discreetly, then turned to Elder Gu and asked, "Does the Medical Palace have no more healing ointments or pills? Why didn't you give them to Nineteen?"

Elder Gu stiffened, then forced a fawning smile and replied, "Yes...yes, I'll have someone go get it for His Highness the Nineteenth Prince right away..."

As soon as he finished speaking, he disappeared in a flash to get healing ointment and pills.

Bai Shaoheng withdrew his gaze with satisfaction, looked at Bai Qingnian again, and asked once more, "Nineteen, are you injured?"

Bai Qingnian shook his head, and Bai Shaoheng's expression changed, even his tone of voice became anxious.

"If you're not injured, then why do you need healing ointment?"

Bai Qingnian was taken aback by Bai Shaoheng's sudden urgency, but still explained, "It's my little black dog that's injured."

"Little Black?"

"Yes, it's my little black snake."

"It wasn't her..."

The anxious expression on Bai Shaoheng's face vanished instantly, and his last sentence was spoken so softly that Bai Qingnian couldn't hear what he was saying at all.

Just then, Elder Gu returned with healing ointment and pills.

"Your Highness, here is what you requested."

After handing the item to Bai Qingnian, he quickly withdrew his hand and walked behind Bai Shaoheng, as if afraid of getting it dirty.

Bai Qingnian didn't mind. After putting the items into his spatial bag, he said goodbye to Bai Shaoheng and left.

"Second brother, I'm leaving now."

"good"

Bai Shaoheng nodded with a smile, but the smile vanished the moment Bai Qingnian turned to leave.

It was as if that wasn't him just now.

...

"Little Black, I'm back!"

Before Bai Qingnian even entered the courtyard, his voice could be heard outside. Soon he entered the courtyard and jogged into his house.

Seeing the motionless little black dog on the table, Bai Qingnian felt heartbroken. After placing the medicine on the table, she quickly fetched a basin of warm water, carefully picked it up with one hand, and gently wiped away the bloodstains on its body with a damp cloth in the other.

After wiping away all the bloodstains, he put it back on the table, opened the small white jade box, scooped out the healing ointment with his fingers, and carefully applied it to the wounds on its body, his movements gentle, as if afraid of hurting it.

But now, even if she really hurt Long Qianling, Long Qianling could not feel the pain anymore, as she had completely fallen into a deep sleep.

Bai Qingnian applied medicine to all of Xiao Hei's wounds and wrapped the entire snake with white cloth strips, leaving only its head exposed.

Looking at the straight snake on the table, Bai Qingnian felt a little guilty.

It looks a little ugly, but I hope Xiao Hei won't be angry when he wakes up and sees it.

Bai Qingnian poured a small pill from another white porcelain bottle and put it into Long Qianling's mouth before finally letting out a sigh of relief.

After putting it back in the broken bowl to rest, he went out to find his father.

Knock knock knock!

A knock sounded at the door, and Zhiyan, who was inside the room, snapped out of his meditation and immediately stood up to open it.
