Despite years of trying, Lao Fang remained unmoved. Alas.
However, the thought that winning people over would be like having a money bag gave him renewed motivation.
Over here, Xin Sui and Xia Tou Xie Tou started playing Dou Dizhu (a card game).
She first explained the rules.
Crab Head was a little confused. "Could you explain it again? I didn't quite understand."
Shrimp-headed guy: "How can you be so stupid? Isn't this something you can understand just by listening?"
Crab-headed man: "You're just bragging. I'm asking you, what brand is this?"
The shrimp-headed man was speechless.
Xin Sui suppressed a laugh: "It's alright, it's not gambling anyway, you'll get the hang of it after a couple of tries."
Sure enough, the two who initially didn't understand the game basically got the hang of it by the third round and then got hooked.
They were calling him "landlord" with such fervor.
They didn't care whether the landlord was theirs or not.
Perhaps the three of them were having too much fun, because the guy with the afro and the guy who could walk through walls couldn't help but come over and look at the cards.
"Hey, why did you play that card? You should have played a 2 to beat him!"
"She has the King, why did you drop the bomb so early? Save it to blow her up!"
"Didn't you see such an obvious three-of-a-kind with one extra piece? Now look what happened, you've got two extra pieces after playing a pair, how stupid of you."
Xin Sui: "..."
"If you're going to look at your cards, then look at them. Can you please stop revealing your hand?"
She was saving the king in her hand for last, okay?
Now everyone knows.
How can she fight back?
Annoyed by being bossed around, the crab-headed man yelled at the man with the afro, "If you're so good, then you do it!"
Afro: "Fine, I'll do it. Give me the cards, and I'll see how I win them back for you. You've ruined a great hand, it's making me anxious."
So the man with the afro replaced the man with the crab head.
The wall-penetrator silently stared at the shrimp-headed man.
The man with the shrimp head covered his cards and said, "Wait a minute, I'll let you have them after I finish this round."
The fish-headed man watched as the others played around with great enthusiasm, but he couldn't grind the medicine powder anymore.
They quietly approached Xin Sui from behind.
After watching for a while, he felt he understood.
After the game ended, he patted Xin Sui on the shoulder and said, "Let me play."
Xin Sui had already noticed that he was spying on her cards from behind, but she wasn't scared.
She stood up and offered him her seat, saying, "Sure, you can have it."
The charcoal fire gently simmered the wine jar, releasing a rich and mellow aroma that filled the entire space.
The aroma woke up the group who were engrossed in playing Dou Dizhu (a popular Chinese card game).
"Holy crap! It smells so damn good! It's making my mouth water."
"It smells so good! Is this Buddha Jumps Over the Wall soup ready yet?"
"Li Xueli, is it ready to eat?"
"Huh, where did everyone go?"
"Damn it! They ran away while we weren't looking! Chase them!"
