Lan Ying kept staring at the red-haired man, Li Bate, occasionally glancing at the girl.
This boy had hair color and facial features that were very similar to Rhett Butler, but his temperament and behavior were completely different.
They're practically two different people.
No, there were actually two people.
Xuan Tu had previously told her that Rhett Butler had died at sea more than a hundred years ago, so how could he possibly be here?
How could there be two people in this world who look so alike?

The more he thought about it, the angrier he became, and his eyes grew colder.
Finally, the green-haired girl noticed and kicked Li Bart under the table.
She winked at him, saying, "The woman at the next table has been staring at you."
Li Bate didn't care at all. "Let her look. She's just another woman who's been captivated by my handsome face."
The girl was speechless and stomped on his foot hard under the table.
"Can you stop being so narcissistic? The way she looks at you is really weird, like she wants to kill you."
Li Bate stuffed the meat from the bowl into his mouth, his cheeks puffed out as he turned his head away.
Upon seeing the woman's face, he was caught off guard and choked.
The spiciness choked him, almost making him die from the spiciness.
He let out a deafening cough and grabbed the cold drink, gulping it down his throat.
Instead of being worried, the girl laughed gleefully.
"Serves you right! Serves you right for stealing my meat. You choked on it, didn't you? And now you can't stand the spiciness, can you?"
After Li Bate's coughing subsided, he looked up again and found that the woman at the next table was gone.
Where is she?
Who is it?
"The woman who was looking at me just now."
"Li Bate, you don't actually have a crush on her, do you?"
What are you thinking about?
Li Bate said irritably, and simply got up and chased after her to the door, just in time to see the woman get into a black extended luxury car.
"Wait a minute—"
The car drove away.
Li Bate had no choice but to return to the shop.
He Qianjiao, the green-haired girl, noticed his expression and asked, "What's wrong? Do you know that woman?"
"We don't really know each other."
He pulled a silver pendant from his collar.
The pendant was a small oval box, which was empty except for a small photograph.
The person in the photo was the woman he had just caught a glimpse of.
He Qianjiao leaned closer and exclaimed in surprise when she saw the photo: "You said you didn't know her, but you've been wearing her photo all the time."
Li Bate put the pendant back and tapped her on the forehead.
"What are you thinking about? This was left to me by my mother."
"I thought the woman in the photo was long dead, but I never expected her to appear alive and well in front of me today."
"More than 20 years have passed, and she still looks exactly the same as in the photo. Isn't that amazing?"
He Qianjiao sat back down.
"What's so strange about that? Maybe that woman broke through to the Nebula Realm at a young age, which is why she ages slowly."
"Or perhaps she has the secret to maintaining her youthful appearance and takes good care of herself."
Even after hearing this, the eerie feeling in Li Bate's heart still lingered.
What he didn't tell her was that when her mother handed him the pendant, she said it was left to her ancestors.
By the time it reached her, it was already the seventh generation.
Then, by the time it reached him, there were eight generations.
The time span in between is at least a hundred years.
If someone from over a hundred years ago suddenly appeared in front of him, could he remain calm?
What exactly was the relationship between that woman and the Bai family ancestor?
When they came out of the hot pot restaurant, Li Bate and He Qianjiao both had large bellies, as if they were eight months pregnant.
They were clearly overeaten.
Li Bate: "This meal cost me 350 crystal beans. Remember to pay me back your share later."
He Qianjiao: "You're so stingy. We've known each other for so long, what's wrong with you treating me to a meal?"
Li Bate: "Then why have you never treated me to a meal?"
He Qianjiao: "It's just a dinner invitation, right? Once my Crystal Card account is unfrozen—"
“It’s the same phrase every time I hear it. I’m so tired of hearing it.” Li Bate picked at his ear.
He Qianjiao got angry at the way he acted as if he thought he was talking big, so she grabbed his ear and pulled hard.
"If it weren't for—"
She swallowed the words "run away from home and elope" in time.
"It's not like my family would freeze my accounts. Let me tell you, the little bit in my account is more than your entire fortune!"
Li Bate gasped in pain.
"Ouch! Ouch! Let go, I'll trust you, okay?"
"Miss Qian is a rich woman; she has more money in her account than she can spend."
"Once your account is unblocked, I'll immediately pounce on you and beg to be your gigolo, okay?"
When He Qianjiao travels, she uses the name "Qianjiao".
After all, the surname "He" was exceptionally well-known in the post-apocalyptic world, especially in the northern region.
When Li Bate teases her, he calls her "Miss Qian".
He Qianjiao let go of him, both amused and annoyed. "How can you be like this, always hoping to live off me?"
Li Bate argued vehemently: "What's wrong with being a kept man? You have to have the ability to be a kept man, okay?"
He pointed to his handsome face and then puffed out his belly, which now had eight-pack abs but was now protruding, making his intentions quite obvious.
