Chapter 217 I Have a Gift for You

Although he unexpectedly completed the "kiss" mission, Xin Sui still planned to get Xuan Tu drunk as originally intended.

After getting him drunk, she can use the Dream Eater Bead she just bought to pull him into a dream.

Xin Sui took out his treasured red wine and poured a glass for Xuan Tu and himself.

In the clear glass, the red wine shimmered under the light.

Xin Sui raised his glass and clinked it with Xuan Tu's. "Where we come from, today is a day for family reunion, and we should celebrate."

Xuan Tu knew that when she said "our place," she was not referring to Thorn City, but rather the world she had previously lived in.

That peaceful world has all kinds of festivals, and today is the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Xin Sui also knew that he knew this.

But both of them kept it to themselves and didn't say it out loud.

After Xuan Tu finished his cup, Xin Sui immediately refilled it for him, while her own cup was only slightly less than before.

Ever since she got drunk last time, she knew that her body couldn't hold its liquor.

This wine is very sweet, but it has a strong aftereffect.

So she would only lick her lips slightly each time, never daring to actually drink it.

To Xin Sui's delight and surprise, Xuan Tu accepted all the wine she poured for him, drinking one cup after another.

Later on, his eyes became somewhat unfocused, like the foggy surface of the sea.

A faint blush crept onto her jade-like cheeks, and her lips were alluringly beautiful.

It is truly a feast for the eyes and a vibrant, enticing sight.

Xin Sui raised her hand and waved it in front of him, "Xuan Tu?"

I wanted to test whether he was drunk.

Xuan Tu looked over and suddenly smiled at her.

It was a pure and joyful laugh, radiating a childlike innocence.

Xin Sui felt as if something had crashed into her heart.

Is he drunk?

Otherwise, how could the gloomy and dark villain Xuan Tu show such a smile?

How many is this?

Xin Sui decided to test him further, so she held up one finger and asked him a question.

She was suddenly grabbed by the wrist and pulled into his arms.

"I'll take you somewhere." Xuan Tu rubbed his nose against her cheek.

The gestures were very affectionate, and the tone was like that of a child showing off a treasure.

Xin Sui's heart skipped a beat.

Every time Xuan Tu said this, it meant that her suffering was about to begin.

However, this time seems to be different.

Xin Sui was taken away by Xuan Tu and disappeared from the spot in a second, appearing on an ice lake.

The frozen lake is like a natural treasure trove, with all sorts of exotic flowers, rare plants, and exotic animals frozen beneath it.

Xuan Tu took Xin Sui's hand and they ran across the frozen lake.

With each step they took, radiating ice patterns appeared beneath their feet.

Like ice-blue fireworks blooming beneath the lake's surface.

Beautiful and strange.

It's just too cold.

Xin Sui hurriedly shouted to Xuan Tu, "Wait, stop right now—"

If she doesn't stop soon, her skin will crack from the cold.

Xuan Tu turned around, tilted his head to look at her, and his expression and movements were exactly the same as Xiao Ming's.

"What's wrong?" he asked, puzzled.

Xin Sui tried to pull her hand back to put on more clothes, but he held on tightly.

"Let go, I'm freezing to death."

Xuan Tu's eyes widened for a moment, as if he couldn't understand what she was saying.

Xin Sui thought he was really drunk.

I never expected Xuan Tu to be like this after getting drunk.

It's said that one's true nature is revealed when drunk, but is his true nature really that confused?

Just as she was thinking this, Xuan Tu gave her a bear hug and pulled her into his arms.

Black flames erupted from his body and spread to her.

It was as if they were dressed in a fiery cloak.

Surprisingly, the flames did not harm her in the slightest; instead, they provided just the right amount of warmth.

The cold wind and frost were kept out.

Xuan Tu picked her up and pressed his forehead against hers; his butterfly-like eyelashes almost poked her.

Are you still cold?

A slight smell of alcohol emanated from his lips as he spoke, but it wasn't unpleasant; it was refreshing and mellow.

Xin Sui's breath hitched, and she tilted her head back. "I'm not cold anymore."

Am I amazing?

Xuan Tu, completely oblivious to her desire to distance herself, moved closer to her and asked as if seeking praise.

Xin Sui sighed inwardly and gave up the struggle.

He patted his head, using the same method he used to coax Xiaoming, and praised him with a smile, "You're amazing!"

I wonder if Xuan Tu will kill her after he wakes up and remembers his behavior.

Xuan Tu picked up Xin Sui and started running again.

Probably because he was drunk and uncoordinated, Xuan Tu suddenly slipped and fell down with Xin Sui.

The two skated a long distance on the frozen lake.

When they stopped, Xuan Tu stared blankly at Xin Sui, seemingly not understanding what had happened.

Xin Sui was amused by his expression and chuckled.

Once he started laughing, he couldn't stop; he just couldn't stop.

Xuan Tu laughed along with her.

The two lay on the ice like fools, laughing at each other.

As he laughed, Xuan Tu rolled over, bracing his arm on her side and trapping her beneath him.

"Year after year".

Xin Sui's soul surged, as if it were about to float out of his body.

"Year after year".

He called out again.

It seemed she was determined to keep shouting until she agreed.

Xin Sui hummed in agreement and covered his mouth, saying, "Stop yelling."

Xuan Tu pouted and kissed her palm.

Xin Sui recoiled as if electrocuted, staring at him in astonishment.
