On the bus, Xiao Guang kept glancing at the "big cat" in Xin Sui's arms.
Those little eyes clearly longed to get closer, yet were also afraid of being bitten.
Two chubby little hands clasped together, their little fingers seemingly itching to move.
Xin Sui felt a sharp squeak in her heart at his cuteness, wishing she could grab him and rub him hard.
But afraid of scaring the little guy, she tried her best to control her facial expression and waved to him with a smile.
"Come here, Xiao Guang, leopards don't bite people, especially not cute little kids like you."
"Look, how fluffy and soft its fur is, how nice it is to touch, just like a cloud. Come and touch it."
Xin Sui's hands moved back and forth across the leopard's body like a comb, demonstrating to Xiao Guang and tempting him.
Finally, Xiao Guang couldn't resist the temptation of the fluffy texture and walked over on his little feet.
The little hand tentatively touched the leopard's ear, then quickly withdrew.
After discovering that the leopard really didn't bite, he gradually became bolder.
They quickly became inseparable and started playing together.
Xin Sui was initially worried that Leopard would act aloof in front of Xiao Guang, since Leopard was always only close to her, its mother.
But seeing how indulgent it was towards Xiao Guang, sticking out its tongue to wash his face and rubbing its tail against him, she knew that her worries were unnecessary.
Perhaps it was because it recognized the aura of Xuan Tu's soul?
After all, Xuan Tu's divided soul had stayed in its body for so long.
Although Xiao Guang is Xuan Tu's younger self, he is still a person, and his soul remains unchanged.
While Xiao Guang was having fun playing with Leopard, Xin Sui picked him up and sat him on her lap.
She even kissed his chubby cheek.
Xiao Guang was stunned by the kiss, and after realizing what had happened, his lips trembled and he was about to cry.
Mom, there's a weirdo here who stole a kiss from me!
Xin Sui took out a plump, juicy strawberry and stuffed it into his mouth to shut him up.
Xiao Guang's crying stopped abruptly.
"These strawberries are so fragrant and sweet! Try them, they're delicious!"
Xiao Guang took a bite without thinking, and wow, it's so sweet!
A pair of large, teary eyes shone with a light of wonder and joy.
The way human babies look when they first eat grass and berries is just too cute!
Xin Sui watched from the side, wishing she could bite him too.
"Is it tasty?"
Xiao Guang nodded, slid off her lap, and ran to his mother, holding up strawberries in his little hands.
"Mom, you eat."
Xin Sui watched this scene with a mixture of envy and bitterness in her heart.
I wish the little guy would be this filial to me someday.
Xuanwei showed no politeness to her son. She turned her head away, her eyes still fixed on the front, and bit off most of the strawberries and berries in her son's hand.
All that's left is a strawberry butt.
Xiao Guang looked at the strawberries in his hand, then at his mother's moving mouth.
Look at Mom's moving mouth, then look at the strawberries in her hand.
My gaze darted back and forth between the two.
It seemed to be wondering, "How did such a big strawberry of mine just disappear all of a sudden?"
Xuanwei burst into laughter at her son's expression, which was quite unkind.
Xin Sui couldn't stand it anymore.
"How can you be so shameless as to bully your own son?"
Xuanwei: "How did I bully him? Xiaoguang brought me the food himself, right, baby?"
Xiao Guang nodded and grinned.
She revealed a mouthful of pearly white teeth, as radiant as a sunflower.
Xin Sui: "..."
Well, this is a heartwarming interaction between a mother and son, why is she, an outsider, meddling?
Xiao Guang held the strawberry bottoms and ate them carefully, bite by bite.
After finishing the fruit, I wanted to eat the leaves underneath as well.
Xin Sui felt really bad about it.
This time, they simply took out a large basket, picked out the biggest one, and handed it to him.
"Come on, eat as much as you want. Uncle has plenty of strawberries here. Don't eat the strawberry leaves."
Looking through the rearview mirror at the large basket of plump, red strawberries, Xuanwei wondered if strawberries existed in the cultivation world.
Then I thought, who cares? It's good enough to have something to eat, why think so much?
"Xiao Guang, feed Mommy another one."
Without hesitation, Xiao Guang fed the strawberry that Xin Sui had given him to his mother.
He was incredibly filial.
In addition to strawberries and berries, Xin Sui also brought out a variety of delicious handmade (or drawn) snacks.
Cheese sticks, mini cakes, crispy cookies...
As a child born in the apocalypse, where had Xiao Guang ever seen so many snacks before?
My eyes are getting blurry from looking at it.
I don't know which one to start eating.
Thanks to these snacks, Xin Sui finally gained Xiao Guang's initial approval and heard him call him "Uncle" as he wished.
Xiao Guang no longer resists her kisses, touches, and hugs.
When they arrived at the rented apartment building, the little guy had already become very close to Xin Sui.
Xuanwei parked the car with a flourish, got out, and walked ahead. The three of them and the leopard arrived at the rented apartment.
But they found the door was open!
Xuanwei thought a thief had broken into her house, then remembered that she had rushed to find her son and the door might not have been locked properly.
When I ran inside, I found a strange man in the house.
"You! How dare you steal from my house! I—"
Just as Xuanwei was about to rush up and beat him up, the man calmly said, "You must be Xuanwei, the former tenant."
"You've come at the right time. The landlord has already rented the house to me. You can move all your things out now."
Xuanwei's fist barely stopped in front of the man's face.
