Xin Sui saw a colorful patchwork of black before his eyes, and his head spun.
In the blink of an eye, Xuan Tu brought her to another place.
The moon was overhead, but it looked very far away. All around was deep darkness, like a forest.
What came into view were clusters and rows of dark shadows, some huge, some grotesque, making her feel as if she had entered a haunted house.
There was a rustling sound, like leaves being blown by the wind, or like some kind of rodent gnawing on something.
"Where is this place?"
Xin Sui had a very bad feeling, and her heart was pounding.
Xuan Tu didn't answer her; instead, he threw her on the ground like trash.
He stepped back, his figure completely disappearing into the darkness, leaving her standing alone in the same spot.
Xin Sui reached out and grabbed at him, but grasped nothing. At the same time, her heart sank, as if she had suddenly fallen from a great height.
She opened her mouth to call out his name, but saw pairs of "little lanterns" emitting a pale white light emerge from all around her.
"Squeak..."
Xin Sui's scalp tingled as he realized what those "little lanterns" were!
Those were clearly pairs of eyes!
The mouse's eyes.
To be precise, they are zombie rats.
Xin Sui felt all the blood rush back to his head and into his brain, instantly losing his ability to think.
He stood frozen in place, unable to move.
The zombie rat swarm surrounded Xin Sui, gradually narrowing the area, but they seemed to be wary of something and did not pounce immediately.
By this time, Xin Sui's eyes had adjusted to the dim light in the forest and he discovered that the zombie rats were all bigger than washbasins!
Their bodies were covered in signs of decay, and in some cases, even the bones were exposed.
Xin Sui was horrified. His body reacted faster than his brain, and he turned and ran away.
Her escape provoked the zombie rat horde.
These mindless, flesh-eating zombies, driven solely by their bloodlust and carnivorous instincts, had no more scruples and swarmed towards her.
It's like a wave of rats!
"Ah! Xuan Tu, that bastard! Demon! Pervert! He wants to use these zombie rats to kill me! System, save me—"
Before Xin Sui could finish speaking, the swarm of zombie rats had already caught up with her.
They scrambled to climb all over her.
She was completely submerged in it.
A chilling, bone-chilling squeaking sound rang out.
Within seconds, only a complete, snow-white skeleton remained on the spot.
The zombie rats, still not satisfied, scurried among the bones, crawling in from one side of the sternum and out from the skull, their long tails sticking out from their empty eye sockets.
[The host has died. Please select a resurrection location.]
[A. Original room; B. Original location]
"Do I even have a choice? A!"
[Host has been revived, speed +2]
*
"Ah—ah!!!"
Inside the room, Xin Sui, who had been resurrected, was so terrified that she lost the ability to speak and kept screaming.
He was also jumping and stomping his feet frantically, patting his body as if trying to knock something down.
She was resurrected completely naked, just like a newborn baby.
There was nothing terrible on him.
However, although her body was resurrected, her memories remained stuck in the nightmare of being surrounded and devoured by a swarm of rats.
Sharp rat teeth seemed still embedded in her body, stiff rat fur scraped against her skin, and a long, thin rat tail was wrapped around her neck...
Those terrifying scenes flashed back and forth before her eyes again and again.
She also repeatedly experienced the nightmare of being devoured alive.
in the forest.
Xuan Tu stood on a branch of a giant island-like tree, coldly watching the scene below where Xin Sui was devoured to death by a swarm of rats, his expression unwavering.
Once he confirmed she was dead, he teleported down from the tree.
The zombie rats, still gnawing on bones, scattered in fright and disappeared in an instant.
Xuan Tu arrived in front of the snow-white, clean skeleton without a trace of flesh or blood, and raised his hand to lift the bones into the air.
He flipped his palm over, and a cluster of black flames emerged from it, the bones lining up and disappearing into the flames.
In less than a minute, the bones melted into a small clump of liquid, floating in the flames as if they were alive, shimmering with light.
As it burns, the liquid sphere evaporates and shrinks, removing impurities from its interior.
Finally, it turned into a bead the size of a glass bead, as white as snow.
Xuan Tu clenched his fist, the flames vanished, and he gripped the bead tightly in his hand.
This is the first one.
How many stones must he collect before sending that woman on her way?
Thinking of the time when she had smashed her mother's bone beads, Xuan Tu's eyes flashed with overwhelming killing intent.
The next instant, he vanished from the spot.
Inside the room, Xin Sui huddled under the covers in terror, biting her hand hard as she swallowed the blood. The taste of blood filled her mouth, and she trembled violently.
[Host, the main villain is here.]
Click!
Xin Sui seemed to hear the sound of his own heart breaking.
Elegant and rhythmic footsteps approached the bedside step by step.
It brought Xin Sui an unspeakable terror.
What to do, what to do, what to do...
"As expected, he didn't die. Even though he was eaten to death by zombie rats, he actually came back to life."
Xuan Tu's voice rang out above her head, a beautiful yet chilling tone, like a ghost speaking in her ear.
Xin Sui huddled under the covers, not daring to move, even holding his breath, as if that would prevent him from noticing him.
