[The aroma of tea is so strong, who's brewing it?]
The system popped up and made a comment.
Xin Sui: "Of course, it's our little mermaid Jenny."
The system seemed somewhat surprised: [You know?]
Xin Sui: "How could I not know?"
[Then you still—]
"And you still have that pitying and sympathetic look on your face towards the Little Mermaid, right?"
"System, let me put it this way, the little mermaid is so beautiful and cute, and she has such a sweet tongue. When she smiles at me, she can melt my heart."
"So what if she's a little teasy? She didn't hurt me."
[Holy crap, that makes so much sense. This system can't even refute it. So, is this your excuse, you human scum?]
Xin Sui smiled inwardly and ignored the system.
She patted Jenny's head: "It's okay, I can draw. If you really have to leave, I can draw a portrait of me for you to take back to the sea, so you can see me all the time."
Jenny's eyes widened. "Drawing?"
"Yes, come on, I'll take you to see my studio."
Xin Sui took Jenny's hand and scooped up the leopard, who was sleeping in its den after eating its fill, and brought it along.
The studio is on the third floor, and she opened up the entire third floor to turn it into a studio.
Part of it is used for painting, and part is used to exhibit some of the paintings collected.
Xin Sui did not receive systematic painting training.
It's just that I once received a script for a female painter, and I specifically studied and learned about the role for a period of time in order to play it well.
I unexpectedly discovered that the process of randomly applying paint while painting is actually quite stress-relieving, so I developed the habit of painting.
In addition, she may have some talent, and as she painted, she actually received some praise from her friends.
However, she doesn't really have any pursuit in painting; she just paints for fun.
Jenny looked around curiously.
When I arrived at the corridor displaying the paintings, I was immediately struck by the beauty of each and every one of them.
It's like the feeling of someone living underground seeing the starry sky for the first time.
Xin Sui petted the leopard, placed it in a padded basket next to it, sat down in front of the easel, and picked up a paintbrush.
When Jenny returned to her side, a vivid image leaped off the page, lively and lifelike, almost leaping off the page.
"Xiao Ming?"
Xin Sui was putting the finishing touches on the coloring. "Well, I plan to give this painting to Xiao Ming. Maybe he'll be more accommodating because of it."
Jenny leaned on her shoulder, in a very affectionate manner.
"Although my sister did this for me, I'm still so envious, and a little jealous. Could you paint a picture for me too, sister?"
"Okay, but it's getting late, you should wash up and go to bed. I'll draw it for you when I have time."
Xin Sui wanted to pat her head, but stopped when she noticed paint on her hands.
Jenny didn't care at all, and even nuzzled her head into Jenny's hand.
"Okay, I'm waiting for the drawing my sister will make for me."
We went back to the first floor.
Xin Sui prepared water and food for Jenny and placed them next to her water tank.
Finally, he told her, "Call me anytime if you need anything. I'll keep the door open."
Jenny leaned over the edge of the tank and waved her little hand at her, "Mmm, goodnight, sister, sleep well~"
Xin Sui was unaware that she had received a blessing from the merman. She thought it was just a normal greeting, so she replied, "You too, goodnight."
Back in the bedroom on the second floor, Xin Sui looked at Xiao Ming.
The little one was sleeping soundly, a faint blush on his face, and the corners of his mouth were turned up, as if he were having a sweet dream.
Xin Sui put the leopard in its little nest next to the bed and went into the bathroom to take a bath.
After washing, drying, applying creams and lotions, and figuring everything out, it was already two hours later.
It's almost 12 o'clock.
Xin Sui was determined not to stay up all night and came out of the bathroom just before the last few minutes were up.
Goodnight, Leopard.
She leaned down and kissed the leopard on the head, then lifted the covers and lay down on the bed.
Turn off the lights, close your eyes, and go to sleep.
At that moment, the leopard in the nearby den opened its eyes.
A pair of jewel-like purple pupils shone in the night.
The real leopard had long since fallen asleep; the body was now controlled by Xuan Tu's divided soul.
He looked at the woman on the bed, something flickering and churning in his eyes.
Her kiss, the glimpse of white that came into view as she leaned down, the fragrance of her hair as it brushed past my eyes…
All of this was like an invisible, shapeless mist, or like a ray of moonlight falling from the sky onto the lake of his heart.
It didn't cause a ripple at all, yet it was impossible to ignore.
On the distant sea.
Sensing what was happening on the other side of the split soul, Xuan Tu felt an uncontrollable surge of irritation.
That woman should have been killed sooner rather than later.
Keeping him around will only further disrupt his life.
"Quack quack!"
The sea monster with eyeballs and tentacles beneath its feet let out a cry.
The mysterious path returns to its source.
Not far ahead, we've reached the critical point of Lei Hai's advance.
Lei Hai, an inland sea—a special sea area within the Broccoli Sea.
Thunderclouds cover the sea, and lightning flashes within them year-round.
Once you enter this area, you'll be struck by lightning and reduced to ashes if you're not careful.
Even if you're lucky enough to survive being struck by lightning, the lightning fish in the sea—a type of lightning-attribute fish that has mutated due to being constantly bathed in lightning, and whose adult form can reach the sixth rank—will ensure that you never return.
