Xin Sui used the spring water to cook the porridge, then fried dough sticks, made shrimp dumplings, and pan-fried fish fillets.
The fish used for the fish fillets came from the thunderfish brought back by Xuan Tu.
Xuan Tu was handed over to Xiao Ming, and Xiao Ming, without holding back, gave her everything.
The flesh of the snakehead fish is firm and tender, full of flavor, and has few bones, making it delicious even when eaten raw.
When made into fish fillets, it's so delicious that people can easily devour a large piece in one go.
Side dishes served with porridge include crisp and refreshing spicy and sour radish strips, oily salted duck eggs, and stir-fried cucumber with egg and sausage.
A whole table was set up.
Xiao Ming couldn't wait any longer, and as soon as Xuan Tu was served, he immediately began to devour it.
Xin Sui only needed to put a bib on Leopard for a while, and a whole plate of fish fillets was gone.
Jenny cut the fish fillet she had snatched in half and put one half onto Xin Sui's plate.
"Sister, you can have mine."
Upon seeing this, Xiaoming stopped chewing and looked struggled.
It seemed as if he wanted to take the fish fillet out of his mouth and share it with Xin Sui, to compete with Jenny.
Xin Sui didn't want to eat the meat in his mouth, so she quickly said, "It's okay, Xiao Ming, eat quickly. If it's delicious, eat more. Don't be shy."
She even put a shrimp dumpling into his bowl.
Then, without discrimination, he picked one out for Jenny.
After finishing breakfast, Xin Sui put down his bowl and chopsticks.
She wasn't assigned to wash the dishes.
"Whose turn is it to wash the dishes today?"
Xin Sui rubbed Leopard's belly and asked Xiao Ming and Jenny.
Jenny pointed at Xiaoming, who was munching on his plate, and said, "He's washing the dishes today."
Xuan Tu glanced at the large table of bowls and chopsticks, rolled up his shirt sleeves, and began to tidy up.
"I'll take Xiaoming's place."
To be honest, Xuan Tu really has the pure and innocent charm of a stay-at-home husband when he does housework.
He rarely revealed his true villainous nature in front of children.
Xin Sui, petting the leopard, asked him, "I'd like Xiao Ming to come with me out of the tower."
Before Xuan Tu could speak, Xiao Ming had already declared, "Okay, okay, what are we going to do outside the tower?"
"Is it just the two of us, without those two nasty kids?"
Jenny and Leopard both raised their big, round eyes and looked at Xin Sui.
Xin Sui: "..."
What is she supposed to say?
She pulled Jenny into her arms as well.
"My sister has something to do when she leaves the tower this time, so she can't take you and Leopard with her."
"Next time, let's go out together as a family of four, okay?"
In the open kitchen, Xuan Tu stood in front of the sink washing dishes.
His aura was so peaceful, like that of a husband with a truly happy family.
He paused when he heard the words "a family of four".
Xin Sui, a family of four, was clearly not included in the family.
Of course, he didn't care.
What he cared about was that Xiaoming, who used to depend on him for survival, had now completely sided with Xin Sui and was being led by the nose by her.
How could he allow such a thing?
*
Blue Shark Bar.
Xin Sui, dressed in a black trench coat, got out of the car and walked towards the bar.
He stopped at the door and sent a message to Shui Duoduo.
"I'm at the Blue Shark Bar near the pier. If I don't send you a second message in half an hour, it means something's happened. Remember to come and get me then."
What are you doing there?
I'll tell you later.
As soon as Xin Sui stepped into the bar, she was enveloped by the murky smell.
The bar is near the pier, so its customers naturally come from all over the place, a diverse mix of people.
The air was filled with a mixture of smells: smoke, alcohol, sweat, fish... making it unpleasant to breathe.
Thankfully, she was wearing a mask.
Xiao Ming poked his head out of the palm-deep pocket and looked around.
Xin Sui had her hands in her pockets, holding his body tightly to prevent him from coming out.
As the beloved son of City Lord Xuan Tu, this little darling has an even stronger presence in Bright City than Xuan Tu himself; almost everyone in the city knows him.
Even if you don't know him, you can guess his identity just by seeing him.
After all, his features are so distinctive.
She's still unsure of the situation, so naturally she can't let him out.
Although it was daytime, the bar was still quite crowded.
It's noisy everywhere.
Xin Sui looked around for Li Beibei's figure, when suddenly he stepped on something.
"Ouch!" A short, sharp cry of pain rang out.
Xin Sui looked at it and was shocked.
She had stepped on the tip of an octopus tentacle.
Looking upwards, those octopus tentacles belong to one person—a berserker with the upper body of a human and the lower body of tentacles.
Some of his tentacles were holding bottles of wine, some were wiping the floor with rags, and some were holding trash cans...
They are clearly waiters here.
Xin Sui apologized to him: "I'm sorry, are you alright?"
"Oh, of course it's alright, Miss, don't worry."
"Don't even mention being stepped on, even if one of my tentacles is cut off, I'll be fine, at most I'll bleed a little..."
"Where's my wine, M and D?! Hurry up and bring it over!" a customer shouted.
"Oh, I'm sorry, miss, I have to go now."
The octopus-like creature swam rapidly with its tentacles, weaving nimbly through the crowd.
I also picked up some trash along the way.
"Fifth Sister, over here!"
In a corner, in an open private room, Li Beibei waved to Xin Sui.
Xin Sui walked over.
Li Beibei looked at her, then at what was behind her, and her previously excited expression collapsed.
"You came alone?"
