Chapter Fifty-Three: Drunken Smoke Tower

Ning Huan looked at them coldly, chuckled, and said, "You mean, with just a few of you, you think you can teach me a lesson?"

Ning Huan isn't bragging, but although the self-defense techniques she learned sound somewhat ordinary, she has been practicing them since she was a child, and now she has mastered them to a high degree.

Her instructor once said that her skills were only slightly weaker than those of a special forces soldier.

However, if it really comes down to a life-or-death situation, even if a special forces soldier were to face her, it's not certain who would win.

Although her physical condition made her mobility limited, it was sufficient to deal with these small fry in the restaurant.

Thinking of this, Ning Huan raised her hand and punched the man closest to her hard, then kicked him towards the man who was trying to rush up to her.

Another waiter appeared behind her, looking fierce, and was about to smash a stool at her. Ning Huan dodged slightly, and the man missed.

In the blink of an eye, Ning Huan had taken down all of these guys.

Guo Hongyang was so frightened by what he saw that he dared not move.

The fat woman drew closer and closer, and he said tremblingly, "I advise you not to make any rash moves. If you dare to touch me, my family will not let you off the hook. You...do you know that I am...the second young master of the Guo family!"

Ning Huan ignored his wailing and walked straight toward him: "Manager Guo, Young Master Guo, I'm here today to teach you a lesson. Let me tell you, in business, don't resort to these underhanded tricks, or you'll only get yourself killed sooner or later."

As she spoke, she raised her fist and punched him hard.

Guo Hongyang was so frightened that he closed his eyes tightly and dared not speak. He heard a sharp gust of wind from a punch, but the expected fist did not land on him.

Instead, the waiter beside them let out a pitiful scream: "Ah!"

He opened his eyes and saw the waiter clutching his stomach, writhing on the ground in agony.

Ning Huan had already reached the shop entrance. Before leaving, she turned back to Guo Hongyang and said, "Young Master Guo, consider this a warning to you."

Watching Ning Huan's retreating figure, Guo Hongyang shouted angrily, "You wretched woman, how dare you warn me? Don't you even know if you're worthy!"

He grew angrier with each curse, and kicked the men Ning Huan had knocked to the ground: "Idiots! You can't even beat a woman! What are you guys good for? You can't even handle this simple task, so get out of here!"

Ning Huan took a deep breath of fresh air as she left, and shook her head helplessly.

It seems that losing weight and getting rid of the pus-filled pimples on my face are urgent matters. Although I don't care about them, how many people in the village and town have prejudices against me because of them?

Even the number of times they are taken advantage of or cheated is a little more than the average person.

Just as Ning Huan was thinking, she walked to the entrance of a restaurant, which had a conflicting feeling of being both elegant and festive.

Because the restaurant's exterior was entirely decorated with red gauze, a gentle breeze caused the gauze to flutter slightly, giving it a light and graceful appearance from afar.

Looking inside from the doorway, the furnishings are quite elegant and tranquil, with several pots of clivia planted near the entrance.

Right next to it is the plaque of this restaurant: Zuiyanlou.

Seeing the Drunken Smoke Pavilion, Ning Huan recalled the red-clad gentleman she had met on the street that day.

This must be the restaurant owned by that young man in red. She wanted to go in and see what this Drunken Smoke Pavilion, which she had heard so much about, looked like.

Ning Huan went inside and found that there were more guests than she had imagined.

Besides the numerous private rooms on the first floor, there are also four elegant rooms on the second floor featuring plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo, and chrysanthemums.

Just as she was looking around, a waiter came up to her: "Madam, what would you like to eat?"

Just as Ning Huan was about to ask if Zuiyanlou had any signature dishes, the waiter introduced himself: "Our signature dishes at Zuiyanlou today are stir-fried asparagus and braised duck."

She smiled and nodded: "Then I'll take both of them, and just bring me two other dishes as well."

But the waiter didn't just agree and leave. Instead, he reminded her, "Madam, I must remind you, the prices at Zuiyanlou are not cheap. Judging from your ordinary attire, two of their signature dishes should be enough. Besides, you wouldn't be able to finish four dishes anyway, would you?"

Ning Huan wasn't angry. She was quite surprised that this guy would think of her, and there was no contempt or ridicule in his words.

"It's alright, I just haven't had restaurant food in a long time. So I'd like to order a couple more dishes to try. I can finish them all, just order me two vegetable dishes."

The waiter nodded, and then served all four dishes one after another.

Ning Huan was starving at Hongyang Restaurant, and now she was so hungry that her stomach was practically sticking to her back. As soon as the dishes were served, she began to wolf them down.

After she finished eating, she paid the bill with the waiter.

She then inquired, "Waiter, I'd like to ask if your restaurant accepts deer antlers and deer tendons?"

Upon hearing Ning Huan's question, the waiter replied with delight, "Madam, do you have deer antler and deer tendon? I can't make that decision myself; I'll have to ask our manager and the owner. Please wait for me a moment, madam."

The young waiter then went to the counter, spoke to the shopkeeper, and then pointed in Ning Huan's direction.

The shopkeeper then went upstairs. After a while, he came downstairs and walked towards Ning Huan. He then bowed slightly to her and said, "Madam, our boss would like to invite you to the second floor to talk."

Ning Huan recognized the shopkeeper and thought of the servant next to the young man in red on the street last time; it seemed to be him.

"Shopkeeper, haven't we met before?"

Wu Liu paused for a moment, then replied, "My lady has a good memory and a keen eye. That day I accompanied my master to the market to buy things, and I'm very grateful for your help. Otherwise, we would have almost been cheated."

Ning Huan waved her hand and said, "I already told your boss that there's no need to thank me. I was just doing a small favor and happened to be passing by."

As the two were talking, Wu Liu led her to the private room named Mei on the second floor: "Madam, our master is inside, please."

Ning Huan gently pushed the door open and entered. She saw that the furnishings and decorations in the room were very elegant, and she could even faintly smell the fragrance of plum blossoms. Behind the screen was a large reclining chair. She walked around it and saw the young man in red lying on the chair, swaying leisurely.

"I heard that you have deer antlers and deer tendons for sale, madam?"

She nodded: "That's right. I caught a wild deer on the mountain before. The deer was of above-average quality, and the antlers were also of good quality. Shopkeeper, you can take a closer look."

As she spoke, she took out the deer antlers from her basket and handed them to Si Mo.
