Chapter 177 Using Needles to Puncture Yao

Upon seeing the village chief, Ning Huan immediately understood that Yao had fainted from fright.

She said calmly, "Don't worry, village chief. My mother-in-law just fainted, but she's perfectly fine. I can cure her."

As she spoke, she went back into the house and took out her acupuncture kit. She picked out the thickest and longest needles from the kit and then carefully inserted them into the most painful acupoints.

Yao was instantly jolted awake by the pain. She screamed and cried out, "Ah! It hurts so much! It hurts so much!"

When she looked down and found that her body was covered in needles that Ning Huan had stuck in her skin, she shouted, "Ning Huan, you bitch, how dare you prick me with needles! Do you believe I'll report you to the authorities?"

"It hurts so much! Take the needle out right now! Are you doing this on purpose?!"

As she was about to remove the needles herself, Ning Huan grabbed her hand and said, "Mother, don't move around. You just fainted. I'm treating you with needles."

"The pain from these needles on your acupoints is because your body is not healthy. If you move these needles around and damage the acupoints, you may suffer from facial paralysis or even complete paralysis and be bedridden for the rest of your life!"

Ning Huan's words were so frightening that Yao Shi's hand, which was pulling out the needle, froze for a moment, and then she dared not move it at all.

The needles on her acupoints were causing her unbearable pain, but she still cursed loudly, "You little bitch, you did it on purpose!"

But the villagers ignored Yao and praised Ning Huan, saying, "Jing An's wife is really amazing. She managed to wake Yao up in one go."

"Jing'an's wife's medical skills are amazing!"

Ning Huan deliberately dawdled for a long time, and only when she saw that Yao was in so much pain that she could no longer bear it did she slowly pull out the silver needle.

Yao was in excruciating pain all over her body. She pointed at Ning Huan and cursed viciously, "You bitch, how dare you prick me with a needle! Just wait and see how I deal with you!"

Yao had forgotten why she had fainted. The village chief coldly asked from behind, "Yao, who are you going to deal with then?"

She blurted out instinctively, "Of course it's that bitch Ning Huan..."

Before she could finish speaking, Yao realized what was happening and, seeing the village chief's ashen face, quickly went over to explain.

But the village chief ignored her and turned to leave.

This terrified Yao, who hurriedly chased after the village chief to explain. But while explaining, she turned back and glared at Ning Huan, her lip movements suggesting she was still telling Ning Huan to wait.

After seeing Yao off, Ning Huan breathed a sigh of relief and turned back to tell Zhou Jing'an what had happened in the courtyard.

Zhou Jing'an frowned. He knew that Yao Shi loved to cause trouble for no reason, but he was still recovering and couldn't go out to help her. He could only comfort her by saying, "Thank you for your hard work."

Ning Huan waved her hand: "It's not really a hard job, it's just that your mother and family are always causing trouble, making the house a mess, which is a bit annoying."

Upon hearing this, Zhou Jing'an said coldly, "I understand. I'll try to find a way to keep her quiet for a while."

Ning Huan was quite surprised that Zhou Jing'an agreed without her saying anything. No matter how much trouble Yao Shi caused, it was only her who was affected. As for Zhou Jing'an, although it was fake, he had always been concerned about her well-being.

"What kind of plan are you going to come up with? That's your mother."

Zhou Jing'an's dark eyes were as deep as a pitch-black night pool, and it was impossible to tell what he was thinking. He simply said:

"Precisely because she is my mother, she should keep quiet. Otherwise, do you expect her to hold me back after I pass the imperial examinations?"

Ning Huan nodded. It wasn't really Zhou Jing'an's fault. In fact, from the original owner's memories, it was clear that Zhou Jing'an had been very filial before. Not only to his grandmother, but also to Yao Shi and Zhou Dashan.

But ever since he fell ill and was injured, Yao's true colors have been revealed. She colluded with Zhou Dashan to kick Zhou Jing'an out of the house.

Then he would bring Zhou Yan to his house to cause trouble, often making a huge scene before he would stop.

This had already chilled Zhou Jing'an's heart, but ever since Zhou Jing'an went to the clinic to treat his injuries, Yao Shi hadn't changed at all.

Instead, they're trying to get rid of Ning Huan and even want to bring Zhou Jing'an back home. It's obvious what they mean.

If Yao is allowed to continue like this, even if Zhou Jing'an becomes capable and becomes an official in the future, he will still be ruined because of a mother like Yao.

Zhou Jing'an said coldly, "If Yao comes to my house to cause trouble again, I will definitely not be polite to her."

As for Yao, no matter what explanations she gave, the village chief wouldn't listen. He coldly said to Yao:

"Yao, I have other things to attend to today. Your troublemaking with Jing'an's wife can wait. I'll settle accounts with you and Zhou Dashan later when I have time. Also..."

The village chief paused and then said, "There's something else I need to tell you. The person in your family who learns herbal medicine must be Zhou Lan. Even if she can't come because of something, no one else from your family will be taught."

Yao's face immediately darkened. Her previous timid and fearful demeanor towards the village chief vanished, replaced by a shrill voice demanding, "Village chief, what do you mean by that! Didn't I say that Lan'er couldn't come to class that day because she had something to do..."

The village chief interrupted her, saying, "Don't think I don't know what you're up to. Let me tell you, if Zhou Lan hadn't come that day, you'd see what I said to Zhou Dashan!"

At this point, Yao didn't care about anything else. When it came to her own interests, she wasn't even afraid of the village chief. She said fiercely, "Village chief, this is our family matter. Even if the village is very nosy, shouldn't it be beyond our control to interfere in our family affairs?"

"Also, did that little bitch Ning Huan tell you that only our Lan girl can go?"

Before the village chief could speak, Yao sneered angrily, "You, Ning Huan, are you trying to defy the heavens? I refuse to believe I can't deal with you today!"

As she spoke, she broke off a vine from a tree and walked towards Ning Huan's house.

No matter how the village chief called her, she didn't turn around. The village chief thought to himself, "This is bad!" and hurriedly chased after her again.

Ning Huan was talking to Zhou Jing'an inside the house when she heard Yao Shi's voice shouting from the courtyard again: "Ning Huan, you bitch, get out here right now!"

"I think you've gone too far! You don't recognize me as your mother-in-law anymore, and you don't even recognize the Zhou family anymore!"

As Yao spoke, she whipped things in the yard with a rattan cane, making so much noise that it attracted the attention of the neighbors.

"Didn't Madam Yao just leave? Why is she back again?"

"Who knows what trouble she's causing this time?"
