Ignoring the strange looks from others, Xiaoya forcefully threw the bundle at her.
The bundle was incredibly light; all the jewelry had been confiscated, leaving only a few thin garments—it was practically weightless.
Bai Qiu didn't dodge, but instead, with a cold smile, he reached out and grabbed the bundle, his lips parting slightly: "A defeated opponent, nothing more than that."
Xiaoya was shocked that she dared to provoke her, and immediately exploded, baring her teeth and claws as she lunged at her to fight.
Bai Qiu threw the bundle back, took two steps back to create distance between them, crossed his arms and looked very arrogant: "If you're not as good as someone else, just admit defeat. Why resort to desperate measures?"
"You all just wait!"
"I'm waiting. Say what you have to say quickly." Bai Qiu casually dusted off imaginary dust from his sleeves.
"Your Majesty could not possibly bear to just kick me out of the palace like this!"

Without hesitation, Xiaoya sat down on the ground and clung tightly to the base of the bronze lamp, refusing to move an inch.
"Then tell me, what have you done? Perhaps Her Majesty is too forgetful. I'll go back and mention it to her, and maybe she'll change her mind."
Xiaoya hesitated, then, thinking that if she really revealed all those shameful things, she might not have a good ending, she spat again: "Don't try to fool me!"
For Xiaoya to behave so improperly in such a solemn place as the palace gates, the guards who were guarding the gates tried to pull her away, but as soon as they got in front of her, Bai Qiu turned around and stuffed silver into each of their hands to make things easier for them.
The two exchanged a knowing glance, and after receiving the money, they reminded each other, "Hurry up, don't offend any important person."
"Of course, thank you for your understanding, brothers guards."
Bai Qiu squatted down and poked her bundle: "Putting everything else aside, you are truly loyal to the Empress. You are in dire straits yourself, yet you still refuse to speak up."
If you hadn't threatened the Empress, I might not have been able to drive you away.
"But your bundle was clearly filled with jade hairpins and bracelets before, why hasn't it made a sound today?"
"Stop trying to sow discord! I'm telling you, I want to see the Empress!"
"I won't leave until Your Majesty gives me an explanation!"
"Oh? To see the Empress?"
Bai Qiu stopped smiling, stood up, and looked down at her from behind the light: "Want to live?"

Xiaoya tensed up, looking very wary: "What do you mean?"
"You've never been a smart person, but I hope you can seize this last chance and be smart this time."
Bai Qiu paused for a moment: "Leave the palace with peace of mind, someone will naturally meet you."
Even if it's not as glamorous as living in the palace, at least you won't have to worry about food and clothing for the rest of your life.
Xiaoya was skeptical, but just then, someone arrived at the Hehuan Palace.
Xiaoya recognized the palace maid and immediately jumped up and rushed forward, grabbing the maid's shoulders and shaking her repeatedly: "How is it? Has Her Majesty changed her mind? Has she let me return to Huan Palace?!"
The palace maid, carrying a lacquered wooden tray, nearly lost her balance when she swayed so much. She managed to take two steps back before regaining her footing and preventing the tea on the tray from spilling.
"This is tea that Her Majesty sent me to bring for my sister's farewell."
Xiaoya's newly ignited passion cooled considerably.
