Chapter 340: My mind is in turmoil
Yuan Siyin smiled sweetly, then mounted her horse and waved to Qi Xinxin from afar, pulling on the reins: "I'm going back!"
Qi Xinxin nodded, her eyes filled with gratitude.
Just as she was out of sight of the group, Yuan Siyin suddenly pulled on the reins, stopping Taxue. She covered her mouth with a handkerchief, but even so, blood still trickled down her lips, as striking as a bewitching poppy blooming in the night.
Perhaps sensing something, Taxue shook its mane uneasily. Yuan Siyin had no choice but to reach out and gently stroke its neck to comfort it.
My current physical condition is very unstable, and I don't know when I will cough up blood. I will send the birthday gift to Yu Shiyan and then return to the Yuan residence.
After Yuan Siyin finished her plan and waited for the churning energy within her body to subside, she continued her journey to the Mu Prince's residence.
In less than half an hour, the plaque of the Mu Prince's Mansion will be visible in the distance.
Just as Yu Shiyan had said, the Mu Prince's mansion was very deserted, with hardly anyone in front of the gate.
Yuan Siyin dismounted, and before she could even take out her invitation, the guards at the gate immediately opened the door and invited her in. As for Taxue, she was led to the stable.
Bai Tu, with her hands clasped, seemed to have been waiting there for a long time. "Please come with me, Princess."
Yuan Siyin nodded, abandoning her urge to reach out, and obediently followed behind Bai Tu.
Although she hadn't been to the Mu Prince's Mansion for a while, it was still largely the same as when she first arranged it, and even the red bean tree in the courtyard hadn't been moved, and it looked quite thriving.
The little red bean plant she planted herself is nowhere to be found.
It seems they couldn't be raised.
Yuan Siyin felt a little regretful.
"Please wait in the hall. The master was originally waiting for you here early this morning, but he was called away by Zhong Heng not long ago."
Bai Tu gestured for her to come in.
Yuan Siyin waved her hand, "It's alright. Since he has something to do, I won't bother him. This is a birthday gift I prepared. Please give it to him for me."
Bai Tu hesitated for a moment, just about to take the small box, when Zhong Heng suddenly came over quickly with his sword, but his expression was not good: "Princess, please wait. The master has instructed that you stay at the manor for a meal."
"Where is he?"
βThe master has an urgent matter to attend to and will be back around noon. If the princess does not wish to stay for a meal, she may leave.β
Yuan Siyin nodded thoughtfully, "I'll come again this afternoon, as for the gift..."
Zhong Heng lowered his head: "It would be better if you handed it to the master yourself, since only the princess is attending the banquet today..."
"Alright then." Yuan Siyin put the small box back into her sleeve.
Although it's a bit of a hassle to go back and forth, it's his birthday today, a special day after all, so let the trouble be.
With that thought in mind, Yuan Siyin went to the backyard to fetch Taxue and left. Zhong Heng watched her retreating figure intently and suddenly sighed.
I never expected this to happen today.
The master was probably in a state of confusion, and didn't even know whether he should believe what Wang Po said, otherwise he wouldn't have gone to the palace.

Jade was tending to the Empress Dowager's beloved nightingale when she looked up and saw Yu Shiyan arrive. She immediately stood up and curtsied to him, saying, "Greetings, Prince Mu. Why are you here at Jianzhang Palace today? I didn't hear that you were going to the palace, Miss."
Yu Shiyan's brows furrowed with an unyielding coldness as he spoke succinctly: "I've come to see my grandmother."
Jade nodded. "The Empress Dowager is in the Buddhist hall. Would you like me to lead you there?"
