Chapter 483: Backfire
It must be said that his acting skills were rather disappointing.
Yu Shimiao ran over again to adjust the position of the reflector and the light source. He still kept his lips tightly pursed, with no expression at all, and his movements were stiff beyond belief.
These aren't lovers, they're clearly debt collectors.
Yuan Siyin held the lotus lantern with a hint of helplessness, "Even if you're unwilling, at least consider Miaomiao's feelings."
Even I, an outsider, can tell that she really likes this major and takes this assignment very seriously; you couldn't possibly not know that.
Since I promised her I'd come to help, this will only backfire.
"Then what should we do?" Yu Shiyan's brows were like unmelted snow, filled with a cold aura and a hint of barely perceptible helplessness.
"At least be natural and treat me like a friend."
"Director Yuan doesn't seem to have a clear understanding of the boundaries of friendship."
Yuan Siyin took a few deep breaths, trying to calm herself down: "Then it's up to you, as long as you're not an enemy."
Knowing that Yu Shimiao had been waiting, Yu Shiyan hesitated for a moment before reaching out. He held her slender wrist with one hand and placed the other hand lightly on her waist. Through the wide sleeves, it looked like he was embracing her, but he didn't actually touch her.
They're so thin, from their waist to their wrists, how can they be so skinny?
Despite loving sweets so much, it's as if she hasn't gained any weight at all and has just eaten air.
Not far away, Yu Shimiao started yelling, "Yes, yes, that's the feeling! Keep it up! Then put the lotus lantern in the water!"
Yuan Siyin couldn't help but smile slightly.
Actually, she agreed to help Yu Shimiao with the filming not without her own selfish motives, at least to leave her with some memories, even if it was just photos.
Moreover, some people we've lost can only be remembered through photographs.
"Are you still angry?" Yu Shiyan suddenly spoke softly, his warm breath tickling her ear.
Yuan Siyin was stunned for a moment, and was about to turn her head to look at him, but he then slightly moved his lips: "Concentrate, or we'll have to start over later."
Who lost focus first?
Yuan Siyin couldn't help but feel a little sullen.
Some mouths are beautifully formed, but unfortunately, a person grows on them.
[Replacement in progress (rebellious)]
Unable to persuade her, Yuan Siyin had no choice but to give up and instead glanced wistfully at Yu Shiyan, who seemed unconcerned.
"She chose this major herself. If she had listened to me and studied finance, she wouldn't have had to move all this equipment."
Yu Shiyan's expression was indifferent, seemingly not caring at all, but in reality, he would glance at her subtly every now and then out of the corner of his eye.
"He's clearly being stubborn."
Yu Shiyan frowned: "What did you say?"
"It's nothing, it's just windy here, you must have misheard me."
Yuan Siyin gave a haughty hum, then picked up the lotus-shaped prop lantern that was placed to the side and played with it.
The candlelight wrapped in the paper was faint and shimmering, illuminating only a small area. Yet, when you held it in your palm, you could only see its beam of light.
"My angle is about right, and there aren't many people behind me, so it'll be easy to take pictures," Yu Shimiao shouted from the shore, her hand flailing like a megaphone.
"So, what should we film first?"
"Sit down first, Sister Siyin, keep this position in your hand, then lean on my brother and put the lotus lantern into the water."
She thought for a moment and added, "You can improvise as you like, but the point is to depict a couple in love making a wish and releasing lanterns together."
The filming is so lovey-dovey right from the start, is it really a serious story?
Yuan Siyin was both amused and exasperated, but followed her instructions: "Alright, then let's see how our screenwriter and director puts on their show."
"Of course!" Yu Shimiao answered excitedly, then cautiously glanced at Yu Shiyan, who had no expression.
Although Yu Shiyan was reluctant, he eventually sat down.
