Chapter 285: Others

Chapter 285: Others

"Of course I'll continue! I'm going to avenge myself!"

Okay, no more snow.

Yuan Siyin stared silently at her hands, hating rock-paper-scissors for the first time so much.

"You're being so accommodating to me?"

"Who gave you a break! This is my strength!" Yuan Siyin burst into tears on the spot.

Fortunately, she had bad luck and didn't have the urge to go to the gambling den and become rich overnight.

All things considered, she still came out ahead.

Yu Shiyan withdrew his hand, silently pondering what question he should ask after winning so many rounds: "How about we change it to Truth or Dare?"

"Whatever, I'm fine with anything." Yuan Siyin lay down again, like a salted fish, without any hope.

"Then extend your hand."

"Discount for one time".

Yu Shiyan was amused by her meticulousness and said, "Okay."

"Then what?"

"Let's compare cloth."

Yuan Siyin did as she was told, and then Yu Shiyan placed his fist in her palm: "I lost, truth or dare."

I only wish for the sounds of morning bells and evening drums, for peace and tranquility, for you are all I desire, only you.

Yuan Siyin looked up in a daze, only to meet a pair of eyes that made her tremble involuntarily. Hidden within them was a tender affection that she never showed to outsiders, both affectionate and alluring.

"Are you... serious?"

After a long period of ringing in her ears, Yuan Siyin finally found her voice again.

"I mean everything I say to you."

"The morning bell and evening drum, even this beginning is difficult for you."

In less than half a breath, Yuan Siyin returned to her usual demeanor, her eyebrows curved, as if she didn't care about anything and no one could get close to her.

"Then let's gather around the stove, cook snow and brew tea, and watch the lights of thousands of homes at sunset."

"fine."

Yu Shiyan watched as she withdrew her hand, his large, well-defined hand at his side unconsciously tightening, but he did not forcefully stop her.

"Actually, I think that life is so long, and sometimes you will regret making decisions in a hurry."

He took out a red bean hairpin from his sleeve, gently stroking the hairpin with his fingertips, his voice tinged with sadness: "Is it long? Why do I still feel like I met you yesterday?"

"illusion."

Yuan Siyin couldn't bear to watch this scene and quickly turned her head away.

"I will regret it if I don't make this decision."

Yu Shiyan stood up, walked step by step to her, bent down and inserted the red bean hairpin into her hair.

Yuan Siyin's body stiffened, and almost the instant he stepped back, she took off the red bean hairpin again.

Yu Shiyan frowned slightly: "You don't like it?"

She clutched the hairpin helplessly, feeling completely lost and blank, unsure of what to say.

"This hairpin is valuable; you should take it back and keep it safe."

"This is a memento left to me by my mother."

"That's why you should cherish it even more and not give it to others casually."

Yuan Siyin shoved the hairpin back into his hand and ran quickly toward the door, pressing herself against it as if that would make her feel safe.

"This is the last time. If you ever claim to be someone else again and ask for interest from me, then this is the last time."

Yu Shiyan pressed closer, pulling her into his arms until their noses touched, their hot breaths mingling. The atmosphere was ambiguous in the dim light, and even their heartbeats seemed to merge together.

Just as the two were looking at each other, the door next to them was suddenly kicked open.

The fifth brother who came to release the man: "..."

Grandma's.

They've only been locked up for a few days, and something's already wrong.

"What are you two grown men doing?!"

Yuan Siyin was startled and instinctively hid behind Yu Shiyan, who naturally stepped forward to block her.
