Chapter 81 Haunted House

Chapter 81 Haunted House

The group got out of the car and soon arrived at the haunted house.

There was a skull at the main entrance, with two empty eyes that shone with a pale light. The entrance was the skull's open mouth, with rows of teeth covered in cavities and bloodstains.

As soon as I stepped over the teeth, I heard laughter echoing around the skull. Welcome to the world of ghosts.

Although Wen Jing thought the idea was childish, he still took a deep breath.

To improve traffic flow, the PD temporarily changed some rules, allowing all four of them to enter together.

This move only made the atmosphere more tense.

Ghosts lurked everywhere.

Wen Siyan was still very gentlemanly and consciously walked in front. He even imagined in his mind the scene of Song Nian'an being so frightened that she cried in his arms.

The cameramen followed behind, moving very slowly, and every few steps a ghost would jump out to scare them.

Shen Zhuangyue was really driven crazy. If it weren't for making Song Nian'an feel awkward, she wouldn't be walking this dark path now.

You can't walk more than a few steps before a ghost jumps out to scare you.

Song Nian'an, holding Wen Jing's hand from behind, urged, "Can you walk faster?"

Wen Siyan said, "It's too dark up ahead, and the cameraman in charge seems even more scared than I am."

Wen Jing felt a pair of hands on his shoulders from behind.

Wen Jing initially thought it was a cameraman at the back, but when he placed his hand on him, he clearly sensed something was wrong.

The texture is completely different from that of rough, hard men!

These are a woman's hands.

I didn't hear any footsteps!

It was terrifying; Wen Jing couldn't move her feet.

He patted Song Nian'an and pointed to the back of his shoulder.

A blood-soaked female ghost, dressed in a bright red robe, hung in the air, her hands on Wen Jing's shoulders, seemingly about to hug his back.

Song Nian'an's face was level with the female ghost's; the two were face to face, separated only by Wen Jing.

The female ghost smiled and prepared to lick Wen Jing's ear.

Before the laughter had even faded, Wen Jing began reciting the Great Compassion Mantra in a clear, resonant voice:

Namo Ratna Trayaya...

[Friend, this is fake, fake! Stop reciting Buddhist scriptures!]

Wen Jing wouldn't listen to any of it; he just pointed to get out of there quickly.

He kept his head down, only looking at his feet, but suddenly a hand grabbed everyone's ankles.

Shen Zhuangyue was already crying from fright.

She grabbed Wen Siyan's hand, but he flung it away. Wen Siyan squatted down, kicked away the fake hand beside his feet, and then untied Song Nian'an's hand.

After awkwardly thanking him, Song Nian'an picked up the human organ under Wen Jing's foot and showed it to him, saying, "See, it's fake, don't be afraid."

"Aa ...

A hunchbacked man walked over, stepping on iron chains.

Song Nian'an guided them with his experience, "This kind of ghost that specializes in making noise will usually ignore you if you squat down, don't make a sound, don't talk, and don't move around."

After saying that, Song Nian'an pressed down on one head with each hand, firmly holding Shen Zhuangyue and Wen Jing down.

"Don't mess with my hair!" Shen Zhuangyue, this silly teammate, is truly exasperating.

Song Nian'an thought that she shouldn't force him to speak, but should shut him up.

After the shout was made, the sound of countless iron chains rattling came from behind the intersection.

"Oh no! We must have alerted the other ghosts. A lot of ghosts will come after us! Run!"

He grabbed Wen Jing's hand and flew away against the raging wind.

"Namo Ratna Trayaya..."

"Stop chanting that useless nonsense, Master!!! Wake up, Master!!" Song Nian'an ran while trying to brainwash Wen Jing.

"Honey, do you think these people are here to arrest me? They want to separate us!"

"They are all bad people, you have to protect me!"

"That was terrifying, I almost cried!"

"Cheer up, waaaaaah!"

Hearing Song Nian'an's encouragement, Wen Jing's eyes hardened, and he stopped in his tracks.

"Okay, I'll protect you. I'm not afraid of ghosts, are you kidding me!"

"Are you stupid? I didn't tell you to stop now. Put in the same energy you have for your morning run, or you'll be thrown into the dark room!"

Cameraman: "..."

Cameraman's inner monologue: You guys are going to kill me with exhaustion.

After a while, realizing that no one was chasing them, they found a corner and squatted down.

I don't know if they rushed into the next terrifying secret room, or if the ghost ran out of energy and couldn't catch up, but at least they're safe now.

"Honey, you can't let your image crumble!" Song Nian'an comforted him.

Despite his fear, Jing remained calm and didn't reveal any other weaknesses, except for his speed.

She still maintained her aloof demeanor.

The cameraman caught up, panting, saying, "You guys are too fast, my camera can't keep up."

Turning a haunted house into a parkour experience is pretty cool.

However, the set design is quite good; we've been running around for so long and still haven't found the exit.

Gradually, the stage lights dimmed, the sound effects around quieted down, and the annoying production crew even put dry ice in the intersection, with wisps of white mist spreading out, giving off a sinister and ghostly atmosphere.

Song Nian'an thought to herself, "With such a terrifying atmosphere, something's about to happen again?"

The moment the thought crossed my mind, I heard another sound of water nearby, and the faucet was turned on.

Song Nian'an immediately thought of the scenes from Final Destination.

The tap was turned on, but instead of water, it flowed with human blood. The pool was stained crimson, and slowly a figure emerged from the bloody water, grabbing the protagonist's head and shoving it down...

The image was vertically synchronized into Wen Jing's mind.

Wen Jing's teeth chattered. "Now, where are we going?"

There seemed to be some movement in the pool next to us, but it was too dark to see clearly.

Song Nian'an took two steps forward, trying to see what it was, when suddenly a person emerged from the pool.

Soaked to the bone and clinging to his body, he stepped out of the pool, his face obscured, but he raised his arm and walked toward them.

"Go, go, go quickly!!" Song Nian'an shouted.

Wen Jing was so frightened that he almost fainted. He couldn't utter a single word and his whole body was trembling.

Song Nian'an shouted, "Husband!"

Wen Jing's legs went weak, but her mind worked for a moment and she realized something was wrong.

"This haunted house isn't going to keep us running forever, is it? Where's the exit?"

Song Nian'an fell silent for a moment. It was called a haunted house, but since entering, it seemed like the house had been running away the whole time.

"If the haunted house had an exit, we should have seen it by now after running for so long."

He strode up to the water ghost and asked, "Are you a Chinese ghost or a foreign ghost?"

Ghost Brother didn't say anything.

Wen Jing asked again in English, and Ghost Brother nodded.

So they were foreign devils.

Wen Jing asked again, "Is it only by completing a task that we can leave the haunted house?"

The foreign guy nodded.

A beep sounded in their earpieces, and both of them heard the notification tone at the same time: "Escape from the Haunted House Mission Activated, Unmarried Ghost."
