After finishing their business, Huo Haocheng only had half a day left of his vacation. The two went to see a movie, bought some food at the supply and marketing cooperative, and then went back.
"You finally had two days off, and you spent them both traveling around with me."
When the two returned home, Ruan Ruan lay on the sofa, resting her head on his lap, and said, "These days, there are no cell phones, no TVs, and there's not much entertainment during holidays."
"The meaning of my vacation is to spend time with you, so you can do whatever you want." When talking to his wife, Huo Haocheng's sweet words just flowed effortlessly.
"Tell me, who told you these sweet words?" Ruan Ruan didn't expect Huo Haocheng to say something so touching. Did he really not want to admit that he had taken classes to learn them?
"Is this considered sweet talk? I'm just stating the facts. I'm happy doing anything as long as I'm with you, really." He didn't know if what he said was sweet talk, but whatever he said to her was from the bottom of his heart.
"Ahhh, Huo Haocheng, you're so good at this." His words made her blush shyly as she hid in his arms. Even with her thick skin, she blushed furiously.
Seeing his wife like this, Huo Haocheng was also very happy. He didn't say anything, but just held her in his arms as if he were holding the whole world.
For the next period of time, Ruan Ruan basically resumed her lazy life, sleeping until noon, and after lunch, when the weather was nice, she would go to the field to see if the seeds she had sown had sprouted, water them, and when she had nothing to do, she would stay at home to sunbathe, translate books, and spend the rest of her time fooling around with Huo Haocheng.
This continued until the eve of the Qingming Festival. Although the festival is no longer observed, Ruan Ruan still prepared some things for her family and had Huo Haocheng send them back.
As for why it was Huo Haocheng, it's because for some reason, Ruan Ruan has become increasingly sleepy lately. She used to sleep until noon every day, but now she gets sleepy after lunch and sometimes sleeps until 3 or 4 pm. She also goes to bed early after dinner.
"Honey, let me take you to the hospital for a check-up tomorrow. I'm really worried about you sleeping like this!" Ruan Ruan felt tired right after dinner, so after washing up, Huo Haocheng carried her to bed.
"No need, I'm fine. It's just that spring is here and I'm starting to feel sleepy."
Lying in his arms, yawning, tears streaming down her face, she couldn't hold on any longer and fell asleep hugging his waist.
Looking at the person in his arms who had fallen asleep so quickly, Huo Haocheng really wondered if it was spring fatigue. He had never heard of it before, but he figured that since she was a doctor herself, she would know if there was anything wrong. After thinking for a moment, he turned off the light, held the person, and went to sleep.
Thanks to her, he's been able to get eight hours of sleep every day lately.
While they were sending things home, their families were also sending them a lot of things. In the afternoon, after training, Huo Haocheng had just walked to the duty room when he heard the staff on duty calling him.
"Commander Huo, there are two packages for your family. They're really too big. I was the only one on duty this afternoon, so I couldn't deliver them to you." The staff member on duty looked at Huo Haocheng and said a little embarrassedly.
"No problem, I can move it myself when I get off work."

When he got home, he slammed the package down in the living room. Hearing the noise, Ruan Ruan was so startled that she grabbed a spatula and ran out.
"This is..." As expected of a couple, their expressions upon seeing the package were exactly the same.
"Don't rush, there's one more. I'll go get it and bring it back first." With that, he sighed and walked out.
"Go on your bike!" Seeing him walk away like that, she called out to his back. Such a big package, carrying one is tiring enough, carrying another one would really be too much for him.
Hearing her voice, and then glancing at the bicycle by the wall, Huo Haocheng thought to himself, 'She's really gone mad.'
Then I rode my bike out.
Seeing that he had gone there by bicycle, Ruan Ruan quickly went back to the kitchen to check the food in the pot. Fortunately, it wasn't burnt. She stir-fried it a few more times and, seeing that it was almost done, took it out of the pot.
When Huo Haocheng returned, everyone in the compound knew that Commander Huo's family had sent them two large packages, which made them extremely envious.
After dinner, the two sat on stools and slowly began to disassemble.
Open the first one, and inside there are quite a few pine nuts, chestnuts, some dried pheasants and rabbits, and fish, and finally a thick letter.
He took these things out, put them aside, and started disassembling the second one.
The second one, when opened, contained clothes and shoes for them, as well as several books, with a few letters tucked inside.
Huo Haocheng took all the food into the kitchen, then put away the clothes for Ruan Ruan and him into the bedroom, and then fetched water to wash up.
After they finished washing up, the two sat together on the bed to read the letter.
"Here are two envelopes from my second and fourth brothers. Take them back to them during training tomorrow. Also, remember to pack some pine nuts and chestnuts that Grandpa and the others gave you and take them with you tomorrow. I don't know if Hao Shen and the others have any. Go ask them tomorrow. If they don't have any, let them come and get them themselves."
