"What's wrong? You're going back so soon? Why don't you stay a couple more days? I'd like to treat you to a meal to express my gratitude." Director Zhang, who had caught up with him, heard that Huo Haocheng was about to leave. He had been thinking that they had spent a month together, and everyone had been busy during that time. Now that they finally had some free time, he was thinking of treating him to a meal to express his thanks.
"No need for a meal. We're all comrades, helping each other is only right. If there's nothing else, I'll be going now." He said he had genuinely forgotten that his younger sister had given birth. He couldn't be blamed, though, given the poor communication on their island. He recalled that he had just received news that Ruan Ruan had given birth to twins, a boy and a girl, two months after she gave birth. The new year had already passed, and then he got busy and forgot to send the gifts he had prepared for the children.
“That’s perfect. You come back with me and take the things I prepared for Ruan Ruan and the children with you.” As he spoke, he tried to pull Huo Haocheng along.
Fortunately, Director Zhang was quick to stop them. "Hey, wait a minute, wait a minute, Haocheng, about the powder we agreed on before... you..." Director Zhang reminded him somewhat embarrassedly.
"Oh, you mean this? Come on, come on, it's all in the dorm. You guys come with me to get it." Hearing them stop him over this, Huo Haocheng was speechless. Was he really the kind of person who didn't keep his word? He had just been planning to go back and pack his things before delivering the remaining powder to them.
With Huo Haocheng's words, the three of them quickly walked towards the dormitory.
