Now that I'm finally home, I just collapse and fall asleep.
After Ruan Ruan and Huo Haocheng returned to the room, Huo Haocheng immediately took off Ruan Ruan's clothes and examined her thighs.
What are you doing?
"Let me see."
He saw his wife secretly rubbing it before.
When he pulled his pants down, a red handprint was visible on his thigh.
More than an hour has passed, and it's still so red.
"It's okay, Mom didn't hit hard. Don't you know my skin? Even a light touch can leave a mark!" Ruan Ruan didn't care about the slap at all. They all knew how good their mother was to Ruan Ruan, so it was impossible for her to lay a hand on her. However, the slap mark on her leg was real.
"Does it still hurt?" Just looking at her now, Huo Haocheng could tell she must have been in a lot of pain back then, so it was a pointless question for him to ask.
Ignoring Ruan Ruan's claim that it didn't hurt, he knew what was going on and just comforted her. He pulled the blanket over her and got up to get the medicine.
All the medicines in the house were made by Ruan Ruan herself using herbs she obtained from pharmaceutical factories during her spare time.
After applying the anti-swelling medicine, I felt a cool and comfortable sensation.
"Alright, it's getting late, let's go to sleep. You have to go to the army tomorrow, don't you?" With that, Ruan Ruan put on her pajama pants, rolled over inside, and made room for him on the outside.
After the two lay down, Huo Haocheng held Ruan Ruan in his arms, and his gentle voice came from above her head, "Ruan Ruan, I'm sorry!"
Ruan Ruan understood why he apologized, but it wasn't intentional, and she wasn't angry with her mother over it. "What are you saying? Mother didn't do it on purpose. Do you think I'd be angry with Mother over such a small thing?" As she spoke, Ruan Ruan slapped Huo Haocheng's stomach.
However, her slap had no deterrent effect whatsoever, and Huo Haocheng easily caught it in his hand.
The two of them fell asleep holding hands and embracing each other.
