One of the advantages of children visiting their maternal grandparents' home for the New Year is receiving red envelopes. Sure enough, when they returned to the Huo family home that evening, they saw the children taking out their red envelopes and starting to count them. It was obvious that Da Bao and Xiao Bao had more red envelopes than Wen Li and Yong An. There was nothing they could do about it; the Ruan and Gu families had more people.
To paraphrase Ruan Ruan, we should prepare a basket for each of them to carry on their backs today.
On the third day of the Lunar New Year, the festive atmosphere began to fade. The weather was quite nice that day, and the brothers drove around with their elders. They went to Tiananmen Square first, and Ruan Ruan took pictures of them. Then they asked a passerby to take a group photo of the family in front of Tiananmen Square.
Afterwards, they visited the Forbidden City and strolled around the Old Summer Palace, where the elderly couple were clearly moved by the sights and sounds.
The whole family spent the day playing outside and used two rolls of film.
On the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, Huo Haoshen bought train tickets for his parents, second uncle, and second aunt to go back home.
After resting for three days, Huo Haocheng returned to his unit.
Ruanruan and her family drove their elders to visit their factory.
Huo Songhuai won't be going back this time. Ruan Ruan has arranged a job for him in mall management. The mall was completed last year, but they haven't had time to attract tenants yet. Ruan Ruan plans to start attracting tenants after the Lantern Festival. There's no need to worry about the products. Last time in Guangzhou, they got a lot of manufacturers' contact information. In a couple of days, once everyone from the family compound has returned, they'll start recruiting. Ruan Ruan plans to recruit a few customer service staff from among them, and then call each of the factories to ask them to bring their products to discuss moving in.
With Huo Haoshen and Zheng Xuyang leading Huo Songhuai in the early stages, there wasn't much to worry about.
As for Huo Haoming, after he arrived, Ruan Ruan analyzed the current situation with him. He then said that after returning this time, he would sell his job and find a random position with Ruan Ruan to temporarily register his household in Beijing, which would make it easier for him to take the college entrance examination.
The family naturally supports this.
To be honest, the Dream Factory has been built for more than half a year, and this is the first time the old man and woman have come here.
Knowing that they would be tired if they walked, Ruan Ruan drove them around the whole area first, explaining things as she went.
Before, I had only heard Ruan Ruan mention her factory and school casually, and I had no idea what they were talking about. Now that I have actually seen them, I really think that Ruan Ruan and Zheng Xuyang are really amazing.
He's so much better than those factory directors in their commune!
After driving around for a while, they had a general idea of what to expect. Since it wasn't convenient to take them into the pharmaceutical factory, Ruan Ruan drove directly to the clothing factory.
“Dad, Mom, Second Uncle and Second Aunt run a clothing factory. After processing all the orders before the New Year, they still have some clothes left over. Perfect, you can take some back with you.” With that, Ruan Ruan led them to register at the gate, gave the gatekeeper a New Year’s gift, and then led them inside.
“The clothes you sent them before haven’t even been worn out yet, why bring more clothes? We’ll just take a look, you can keep them and sell them.” Zhao Hongmei felt it was a waste to think that they would wear such nice clothes to work in the fields. Besides, she had already asked about the prices of these clothes; even the cheapest ones cost several tens of yuan, and the expensive ones were over a hundred. On New Year’s Day, the clothes they wore alone cost over a hundred yuan for just one coat. If the neighbors had told them the prices, they really wouldn’t have known.
"Mom, these clothes are all out of style from last year. They won't sell well this year. Most of the rest will be given to the employees as welfare rewards. Even so, you still don't want them?"
As she spoke, Ruan Ruan led them to the warehouse at the back, where there were indeed two bags of clothes and pants piled up.
These clothes were an extra batch that Ruanruan asked them to make before the Lunar New Year, just in case someone suddenly didn't want to restock during the holiday.
Ruanruan remembers there were about 10 bags left during the holiday, but now there are only 2 bags left. It seems that some people really did restock during the Chinese New Year.
Ruan Ruan genuinely didn't believe her clothes had been stolen; she trusted their security at all.
I walked over, took the clothes out of the bag, found a few in their size, and then forcefully placed them in their hands.
“Mom, before we had a factory, we had to buy our clothes from outside. But now that we have our own factory, if you still buy them from outside, it's like you're slapping me in the face.”
Since Ruan Ruan had already said so much, in order not to give others any ammunition to slander them, the group had no choice but to accept it.
After visiting the factory, we went to see the school and then the shopping mall. By the time we got home, it was already past 4 p.m.
They quickly prepared some food, then packed the things they were taking back into bags before the family finally drifted off to sleep.
Before dawn the next day, in order to save time, Zhao Hongmei and the others got up at 5 a.m. to start making food. The old lady and Wang Qun also helped make some of the things they ate on the train.
After the meal, Huo Haocheng drove them to the train station with their luggage and belongings.
Huo Haocheng used his military officer's ID to buy them sleeper tickets.
The train was scheduled to arrive at 6:30 in the morning. When they arrived, there were still 10 minutes to spare. Huo Haocheng waited for the train to arrive, helped them put their luggage on the train, and then reminded them again, "Be careful on the road. Call home when you arrive. If no one answers when you get to the city, stay at the guesthouse for the night and go back tomorrow morning."
"Okay, okay, we're all old, do you still need to nag us? Get out of the car, or we'll see how you get off once the car leaves."
