Bonus Chapter 2: Bai Sirui vs. Ruan Shaoke 2

Not long after returning from this mission, Ruan Shaoke received orders from the commander to pack up and report to the Yuncheng Military Region.

This transfer order caught the two of them completely off guard; they were truly unprepared!

Later, it was only after Bai Sirui went to the commander to ask that he learned that the higher-ups wanted to form a special force. It was currently in the trial phase, and the training location was Yuncheng. The captain of this special team was their brother-in-law, whom they had never met before.

In response, Ruan Shaoke stated that he would obey orders.

Meanwhile, Bai Sirui, who was left behind, could only look at the things his wife had left behind every day and reminisce about her.

This also led him to train his people to the point of exhaustion every day when arranging training sessions.

Soon, the special team assembled in Yuncheng. Ruan Shaoke then realized that this unit consisted of one person selected from each branch of the military, and all of them were people they knew.

Seeing his brothers made Ruan Shaoke very happy. Especially his younger brother Ruan Shaolin, with his lively and unruly personality, he never expected that he would also be selected for the special team.

Here, the Yuncheng Military Region had made arrangements for their team's training grounds and dormitories well in advance.

On the training field, Ruan Shaoke met Huo Haocheng for the first time. Although he had heard of Huo Haocheng before when he was in the army, he was very curious about him. He was known as the king of soldiers in the military region and had always been the first in the military region competition.

After Huo Haocheng introduced everyone at the training ground, he immediately led them into a day of training.

After training, he chatted with everyone and said that he would come to his house for dinner later. He also said that this was a task given to him by his wife, who is also their sister.

Ruan Shaoke had heard a lot about his upcoming meeting with his younger sister from his older and younger brothers. He was particularly interested in the relationship between Huo Haocheng and Ruan Ruan. He heard from Gu Jinghe that when Huo Haocheng first joined the army, he told the soldiers that he had a fiancée and that he would marry her when she came of age, telling those who wanted to take advantage of him to stay away and not become mistresses. Later, everyone was also very curious about the fact that Huo Haocheng sent his entire monthly salary back home to support his wife.

For single people like them, Huo Haocheng's doting behavior towards his wife was perfectly understandable. However, for Ruan Shaoke, who had been married for several years, it seemed just right, because her husband was exactly the same. This made Ruan Shaoke even more curious about this younger sister.

That afternoon, Huo Haocheng ended the day's training early, giving everyone time to wash up before taking them home together.

Ruan Shaoke saw that Gu Jinghe ran into the courtyard as soon as they entered. Then he saw a fair-skinned, pretty girl coming out of the house with her hands raised. As she got closer, he saw that her hands were covered in flour. Then he heard his older brother and younger brother calling her Ruan Ruan.

Ruan Shaoke stepped forward naturally and handed over the gift he had prepared beforehand. "Little sister, hello, I'm your second brother, Ruan Shaoke. I was on a mission when you came back, I'm so sorry. This is a gift for you, although it's a little late, I still hope you like it."

As Ruan Shaoke spoke, he kept looking at the girl in front of him. However, he felt that this girl seemed to be different from the other girls.

"Second brother, hello, I'm Ruan Ruan. I like it, I like it, second brother, please look at it!"

She said she liked the gift without even looking at it, and then praised herself for being very pretty.

Ruan Shaoke used to feel uncomfortable when people complimented his looks; he disliked being stared at. However, he wasn't angry about his younger sister Ruan Ruan staring at him; in fact, he was quite pleased.

"Thank you for the compliment, little sister. I'm glad you like it." Ruan Shaoke just smiled at Ruan Ruan's infatuated expression. He felt that it was nice to tease his little sister when Bai Sirui wasn't around.

However, it would have been even better if Huo Haocheng's gaze hadn't been so fierce.
