Huo Haocheng and Ruan Ruan chatted and laughed all the way home. Ruan Ruan kept pestering him to tell her about Jiang Yuli and Gu Jinghe. Gu Jinghe had only mentioned it briefly when he told them in Kyoto, without going into any details. But today, Ruan Ruan felt that Huo Haocheng knew a lot about their situation.
Huo Haocheng said he didn't want to know anything about them, but unfortunately, every time Jiang Yuli came to see Gu Jinghe, he would be with Gu Jinghe. She ran over and yelled at him, telling him not to always ask Gu Jinghe for things every time she came to see him. Did they have that many things to discuss? Couldn't she give Gu Jinghe some private time? What's worse, at the end, she even asked Gu Jinghe if the reason he hadn't accepted her was because of Huo Haocheng.
This is really unfair to him. Huo Haocheng is known in the army for spoiling his little fiancée. He immediately objected. It's not something a grown man like him would do to scold a woman. So he turned around and scolded Gu Jinghe, telling him to handle his personal problems and not affect his reputation.
Afterwards, Huo Haocheng beat up Gu Jinghe in front of Jiang Yuli, which made Jiang Yuli realize that she had misunderstood and that Gu Jinghe had been beaten up. Her anger turned into heartache. After that, every time Jiang Yuli came to see Gu Jinghe, she would ask if his relationship with Huo Haocheng had improved. She was also worried that because of her, the two brothers had developed a rift.
"When you beat up Jinghe back then, didn't he fight back? Did he just stand there and take the beating?" Ruan Ruan felt that just taking the beating without fighting back wasn't Gu Jinghe's style.
"I told him that if he wanted Jiang Yuli not to misunderstand their relationship, he would have to suffer in silence," Huo Haocheng said, his tone ambiguous and tinged with schadenfreude.
"Honestly, were you doing this on purpose? You just wanted to beat up Brother Jinghe to vent your anger!" Ruan Ruan knew she was right just by looking at his smug expression. Only a fool like Gu Jinghe would believe her. Moreover, Gu Jinghe hadn't even realized he was interested in Jiang Yuli at the time. He just listened to Huo Haocheng's words and subconsciously didn't fight back. By the time he wanted to fight back, Huo Haocheng had already finished a series of attacks.
"He's just stupid. How could he like a girl and not know it? If he really didn't like her, why would he always use me as an excuse? Couldn't he just say he has someone he likes? I see it very clearly; he's interested in her, that's why I beat him up."
"Then why didn't you just tell him? It would be such a pity if they missed each other like this!" Ruan Ruan didn't understand. Weren't Huo Haocheng and Gu Jinghe good brothers? Why didn't he just tell him that he had fallen for Jiang Yuli?
“I’ve already told you, not only me, but even that time when my aunt caught him, we told him he had a crush on her. But he doesn’t think he likes her at all. He keeps thinking we’re trying to set them up. He even said if I told him again that he likes Comrade Jiang Yuli, he’d cut off all ties with me. What am I supposed to say to that?”

Everyone who knew the two of them could see that Gu Jinghe also liked Jiang Yuli, but he just wouldn't admit it, even though he had lost his brother-in-law. There was nothing Huo Haocheng could do about it.
“Uh (⊙o⊙)…this…” Ruan Ruan didn’t expect it to be like this either.
"Forget about them, what about you? When did you fall in love with me? We were so young, we were still so young, why did you agree to my request?" Ruan Ruan was still quite curious. Although the system had told her that because of her, the main god had merged their life trajectories since childhood, Ruan Ruan still wanted to know what Huo Haocheng liked about her.
"I don't know when I started liking you. I remember when you were little, you were very quiet and didn't like playing with other children. "So you've liked me for so long? Wow, young man, you're in a relationship too early..." Ruan Ruan was quite pleased to see Huo Haocheng joking with her from the very beginning, knowing that Huo Haocheng had liked her from the start.

“You…” Ruan Ruan blushed and looked around. Finding no one, she stepped out of Huo Haocheng’s arms, pulled him along, and took two steps at a time into her own yard.
