After separating from the other two, Zhang Da stood there for about a minute. After confirming that no one was around, he changed his drunken state and quickly walked home.
Seeing this, Ah Kun and Huo Haojie could only follow him from a distance, as long as they were sure that he hadn't done anything else or met anyone else along the way.
The two followed him to the bottom of his building. After confirming that he had gone inside, Huo Haojie looked around and saw the big tree behind their apartment building. Huo Haojie told Uncle Kun to find a place to hide while he climbed up to take a look.
After entering the house, Zhang Da went to her mother's room. "Mother, Mother, are you asleep?"
"What's wrong? Didn't you go to Ah Kun's house for drinks with them?" Zhang's mother, still half asleep, struggled to sit up and open the door after hearing her son's voice.
"Mother, I just saw the woman you mentioned before named Ruan Ruan." When Akun introduced Ruan Ruan to them, he felt that the name sounded familiar. Then, when he heard Akun say that she used to be in Yuncheng, he remembered who Ruan Ruan was.
After the incident at the Miao family a while ago, Zhang's mother locked herself in her room every day and didn't talk to anyone. Later, it was only after she fell ill that he learned from her that their Zhang family had once been servants of the Miao family, and that she herself had been a maidservant to the eldest young lady. The two had grown up together since childhood, and she could be said to be the person who treated her best in the Miao family. She didn't care what the world said about the eldest young lady; she only knew that the eldest young lady had been kind to her.

Then, she hurriedly put on her clothes, grabbed a flashlight, and went out.
Huo Haojie, who was perched on a tree branch outside their window, heard Zhang's mother say she was going out, and immediately climbed down the tree quietly, pulling Akun along with him to hide.
After she walked away, he quietly followed her.
"Alright, you come with me to the police station. I have a feeling we'll make a big discovery tonight."
They followed Zhang's mother to the entrance of an alley. Ah Kun told Huo Haojie to follow, while he went to the police station to call for help.
“Okay, I’ll mark the way for you, just pay attention.” Then he followed.
Seeing Huo Haojie follow, Ah Kun immediately turned around and ran towards the police station.
Huo Haojie followed her, winding through a maze-like path, until they arrived at a courtyard. He watched as she knocked on the door and was led inside. Huo Haojie didn't rush forward; he observed the surroundings for a few minutes before preparing to leave. Just then, the door that had been closed was suddenly opened from the inside, and a person poked their head out to look at the commotion on the road outside.
Then he said to the people inside, "I've told you all, there's no one outside, no one at all. It's so late at night, and there's no one living around here. Where would anyone be?"
The man complained as he closed the door again and went inside.
After he went inside and closed the door, Huo Haojie came out. He had just heard the man say that no one lived around here, which meant that apart from their courtyard, all the other courtyards were empty. So he simply climbed over the wall into the courtyard next to theirs.
"You just said that woman came to the black market, are you sure?"
“I’m pretty sure my son had dinner with her tonight. I wouldn’t have known if my son hadn’t told me!”
"Brother, if that person really comes to the black market, then our chance for revenge has arrived!"
"Yeah, she was in Yuncheng before, and they wiped out all our people there. Now that she's on our turf, catching her is easy, isn't it?"
“Well then, Monkey, you go and tell Yamamura-kun the news first, and then we’ll go check tomorrow to see if that person is really there. If she is, then just like you said, brothers, our chance for revenge has come.”
"Okay, I'll go right now."
With that, the monkey opened the door and walked out. After watching him leave, the others went back inside to continue discussing their strategy.
Seeing him leave, Huo Haojie followed. This time, as he reached the corner, Huo Haojie strode forward and, catching him off guard, knocked him unconscious with a single blow. The stick was one he had stolen from someone else's yard.
There was no other way; he was alone. If he went with them, and Ah Kun and the others came later and couldn't find him, it would be difficult to handle. They could only leave him behind for now. Anyway, they already knew his whereabouts, and judging from his name, Yamamura-kun, he seemed to be a person living a very comfortable life. So, they would find out what happened when the police came and took them back for questioning.
Ah Kun didn't make him wait long. He had just dragged the person under the eaves when Ah Kun arrived with the police officers.
"Haojie, how is it?"
"Uncle Kun, officers, everyone else is in that courtyard. They're discussing arresting Ruan Ruan. This guy listened to them and was going to inform someone named Yamamura-kun. Since you hadn't arrived yet, I had no choice but to knock him unconscious."
Upon seeing them arrive, Huo Haojie quickly explained the situation of these people to them.
"Comrade, you've worked hard. Please keep yourselves hidden for now. We're about to take action."
The person leading the team was the captain of the black market police station. He was also a retired soldier. Over the years, he had dealt with Ah Kun to some extent and they knew each other's character. So when he took Ah Kun to find him, he immediately came over with his men.
