Chapter 161

Rong Hang's eyes were deep, with a dark undercurrent surging within them. He slightly opened his peach-colored lips, put his arm around Jiang Yixing's neck, and leaned forward.

Catching their breath, Rong Hang said, "I'm late."

His tone was filled with deep self-reproach; if he had arrived earlier, Jiang Yixing wouldn't have been injured.

Jiang Yixing touched his fluffy hair, her eyes seemingly filled with light, and said, "You've come at the perfect time."

"cough!"

A cough escaped Gu Chun's throat. He looked at the two people beside him, who were gazing at each other tenderly. Although he didn't want to disturb them, this was an emergency, and he was about to lose control of the liquid's stability.

There is a world of difference between non-weapon refiners and weapon refiners in terms of controlling their divine sense. Gu Chun was able to persist for so long entirely because of his extraordinary divine sense strength.

Jiang Yixing finally stood up straight, a smile on her face, "Sorry, sorry."

Jiang Yixing took over the task from Gu Chun and quickly controlled the remaining liquid to integrate it.

The gold-soil has already been refined by Rong Hang. Jiang Yixing only needs to integrate it into the liquid to eliminate the interference of impurities in the gold-soil. The rest of the work will then be done naturally.

Under Jiang Yixing's control, the liquid, which contained all the materials, gradually took shape. Ji Fu's idea was to refine it into a unique magical artifact with an offensive design.

Jiang Yixing slowly manipulated the shaping process. Under the watchful eyes of Rong Hang and Gu Chun, the liquid gradually transformed into the shape of a longbow. In the instant the shape solidified, Jiang Yixing swiftly slammed it into the furnace.

The furnace slowly rose into the air, its massive body constantly rotating and releasing intense heat. The temperature in the entire room continued to rise, and two beads of sweat slowly dripped from Jiang Yixing's forehead.

Rong Hang took out a pure white handkerchief from somewhere and gently wiped the sweat from Jiang Yixing's forehead.

The process lasted for an unknown period of time, seemingly a day and a night. The sky outside changed from clear to dark, and then from dark to bright. Finally, the refining furnace under Jiang Yixing's command began to make some unusual noises.

The furnace began to vibrate slightly, emitting a low rumbling sound. Rong Hang and Gu Chun both perked up; this was the final step in the refining process, and they absolutely could not fail.

However, this last step is also the most difficult.

Jiang Yixing frowned and probed the furnace with his divine sense. The longbow had slowly taken shape and was entirely orange-red from being scorched.

This final step requires the addition of a material to help the magical artifact truly solidify. Jiang Yixing unleashed his full divine sense, and under Jiang Yixing's suppression, the magical artifact, though restless and swaying, had no chance to resist.

Time passed slowly, but Jiang Yixing remained calm and composed, channeling his spiritual energy at his own pace to gradually forge the longbow on the blueprint.

The atmosphere in the weapon-refining room was oppressive. Rong Hang and Gu Chun remained silent, neither of them speaking, patiently waiting for the result.

Finally, as the sun rose again, the stove slowly returned to calm, and the two men were invigorated.

A smile slowly appeared on Jiang Yixing's lips. The sun shone through the high skylight, casting warm sunlight, and accompanied by a burst of intense golden light, a longbow appeared out of nowhere.

It was a longbow, more than half a person's height. Through the dazzling halo, one could see that its body was a deep brown color. However, it was covered with fine gold stripes, making it look understated yet luxurious. The bowstring was taut, and the matching arrow was nocked on the string, seemingly ready to be released.

Gu Chun gasped, his heart pounding.

The intense golden light finally dissipated slowly, and under the not-too-blinding sunlight, the three people inside the room could finally see the longbow's appearance.

Jiang Yixing smiled and reached out her hand. The longbow slowly descended into her palm. She grasped the bow, feeling its warmth and the spiritual energy flowing into it.

"It's done."

The remaining two seemed to have been waiting for this one sentence, and now they both breathed a sigh of relief.

A rare smile finally appeared on Gu Chun's stiff and expressionless face, like the melting of winter snow, still carrying a chill in the cold wind.

Jiang Yixing handed the longbow to Gu Chun. Gu Chun and Gu Chun exchanged a glance, and Gu Chun said solemnly, "Thank you."

Jiang Yixing just smiled and gestured for him to try it on Ji Fu first, "Let's give it a try first."

The three of them went to a more secluded room. In the center of the room was a bed, and on the bed lay a child who looked only a few years old. The three of them recognized the child's face immediately; it was Ji Fu.

Compared to when Jiang Yixing first arrived, Ji Fu had shrunk considerably.

Seeing this, Jiang Yixing felt uneasy. The speed was too fast. If the magic weapon couldn't be perfectly matched this time, there might really be no time left.

Jiang Yixing could sense the abundant spiritual power within that longbow; it was a rare and exceptional piece, and it did indeed possess a certain amount of spatial power.

As the one who created it, Jiang Yixing couldn't be sure what kind of power it was, nor could he be sure if it could be successfully matched with Ji Fu.

For a moment, everyone was a little nervous.

Gu Chun placed the longbow next to Ji Fu and activated the spirit-gathering array. At first, neither the longbow nor Ji Fu reacted, and all three of them were startled.

About half an hour later, the longbow finally reacted. A layer of white gauze-like light slowly enveloped its body, emitting a faint glow.

Ji Fu's figure continued to shrink until it disappeared completely.

When Ji Fu's figure on the bed suddenly disappeared, the longbow trembled violently, then returned to calm and lay quietly in a corner of the bed.

Jiang Yixing watched every movement of the longbow with increasing tension. Had it succeeded or failed?

The longbow remained motionless under the gaze of the three men until their hearts sank to the bottom and a sorrowful atmosphere filled the secret room. Only then did the bow suddenly leap from one end of the bed to the other.

It was as if a warm current had been injected into Gu Chun, and it began to pulsate slowly. Naturally, magical artifacts do not move without a reason; only magical artifacts that have developed a spirit would behave in this way.

The bow began to vibrate slowly again, the vibration growing stronger until a figure suddenly appeared in the secret chamber.

The person had long, black hair that reached his waist, and skin as white as snow. The moment he appeared, his entire body was enveloped in a faint light.

Rong Hang instantly realized that he had not conjured any clothes, and covered Jiang Yixing's eyes as quickly as possible.

Rong Hang's initial slight excitement turned into indescribable emotion, and his voice sounded like he was gritting his teeth, "Get dressed."

Jiang Yixing felt Rong Hang gently press his hands against her eyes, and as she felt the warmth from Rong Hang's palms, she slightly curled the corners of her lips.

Gu Chun stared blankly as a figure appeared in the dim light.
