Zhang Zhimin and Tao Yating did not live in the same dormitory, but on two separate floors, one on the second floor and the other on the third floor.
The two walked silently to the top of the stairs to the second floor. Since leaving Jiang Yixing, no one had spoken a word along the way.
The two exchanged a glance, nodded slightly, and one turned right while the other went upstairs.
Tao Yating stopped on the stairs, looked down at Zhang Zhimin, her eyes slightly curved, and the corners of her pale pink lips curled up. "I'm very happy today."
Zhang Zhimin snorted coldly, her phoenix eyes pointing upwards. Her red lips curled into a mocking smile. "Ask Yixing to take a look at your dance? I don't see any problem with your dance."
Tao Yating's smile deepened. She leaned against the railing, resting her weight on her arm. "Likewise."
Zhang Zhimin rolled his eyes dramatically. "Don't try to fool your teaching assistant with your fake sentimentality."
Tao Yating stood up straight and looked down at Zhang Zhimin, making Zhang Zhimin's eyebrows twitch.
Tao Yating's smile faded, and her lovely and beautiful face looked unusually tense at this moment.
"That's none of your business."
Their eyes met briefly before looking away, and neither of them said another word.
Tao Yating turned and went upstairs, while Zhang Zhimin walked towards the other end of the corridor.

Unaware of the situation, Jiang Yixing returned to his dormitory. The teaching assistants' dormitories were much better than the students', who shared rooms in groups of four, with bunk beds and desks underneath.
The teaching assistant dormitory is a separate small villa, complete with a living room, bedroom, dining room and kitchen.
Jiang Yixing pushed open the door. The room was dark. Suddenly, he heard footsteps behind him.
When Jiang Yixing turned around, the first thing that caught her eye was that face, which was still beautiful under the moonlight.
Overwhelmed with joy, Jiang Yixing rushed forward, "Why are you here?"
Rong Hang skillfully pulled Jiang Yixing, who was rushing towards him, into his arms, a faint smile appearing on his usually indifferent face. "I missed you so much."
Three words of sweet talk were the most cheesy language he could say. Rong Hang put his arms around Jiang Yixing's shoulders, and heat emanated from where their skin touched.
Ever since Jiang Yixing hung up the phone, Rong Hang watched the second hand tick by, each day feeling like an eternity. Images of Jiang Yixing interacting with others flashed through his mind like a slideshow, and his longing for her grew stronger and stronger.
Rong Hang, who was usually good at patience, seemed to be unable to wait even a second longer. He took out a scroll from his space, tore it open, and the space was split open by the huge spiritual power. The air vibrated and left behind ripples that were invisible to the naked eye.
Standing at the entrance of Jiang Yixing's dormitory, Rong Hang waited for a long time. The cold wind blew by, but Rong Hang's heart remained burning hot.
Rong Hang only saw Jiang Yixing's figure appear at the other end of the road, and then he saw her chatting and laughing with two girls.
Rong Hang felt as if a river was rushing through his heart, or as if tiny mosquitoes were crawling all over him, giving him a tingling, numb feeling.
Jiang Yixing hugged Rong Hang tightly, planted a deep kiss on his face, and held his cheek, her eyes sparkling with joy.
She pulled Rong Hang into the house, and their lips met. Rong Hang's tongue explored Jiang Yixing's mouth, teasing her tongue. Jiang Yixing's back pressed against the door, and the distance between them seemed to shrink infinitely.
During their brief separation, a thin silver thread remained where their lips met. Jiang Yixing's lips were pressed together, turning a vibrant red. She licked her lower lip, and her phoenix eyes were radiated with endless allure.
The moment he embraced Jiang Yixing, all his unease and panic vanished like the wind. Rong Hang's heart calmed, and deep love welled up in his dark eyes.
Rong Hang was much taller than Jiang Yixing. She reached out and touched her head, ruffling her smooth black hair, her smile deepening in her eyes.
As if she could see through the slight uncertainty in Rong Hang's heart, Jiang Yixing whispered, "I love you."
This confession suddenly exploded in the dark room. Rong Hang's heart pounded like a drum, and all he could hear was the sound of his own heartbeat and Jiang Yixing's heartbeat intertwined.
Rong Hang leaned forward again, and Jiang Yixing did not close her eyes, but instead looked at Rong Hang.
Jiang Yixing's smiling eyes seemed to hold a starry sky within them, while Rong Hang's gaze was deep, reflecting Jiang Yixing's image.
Rong Hang's heart raced. He leaned closer to Jiang Yixing, breathing heavily, bent his legs, and rested his head on Jiang Yixing's shoulder and neck. His warm breath sprayed onto Jiang Yixing's collarbone, making her feel numb.
Rong Hang sniffed Jiang Yixing's scent and unconsciously rubbed against him.
Jiang Yixing chuckled and reached out to rub his head, like a big dog.
This brief night could not alleviate Rong Hang's longing, but the two would face separation again the next day.
Rong Hang pursed his lips, clearly unhappy. He played with Jiang Yixing's long hair, refusing to let go.
"I'm leaving."
Despite saying this, Rong Hang showed no intention of leaving. Jiang Yixing noticed that his phone vibrated several times, with the screen displaying "Assistant" each time.
Before we started dating, I never realized Rong Hang was this kind of person—clingy and prone to unconsciously acting cute.
Jiang Yixing said in a coaxing tone, "Sweetie, sweetie, go and work hard first, finish your work as soon as possible, and then come and keep me company."
Rong Hang tugged at Jiang Yixing's sleeve, rubbing his thumb and forefinger together a few times, lamenting for the first time that his comprehension was insufficient and he couldn't fathom the mysteries of time.
Why is the time spent with Jiang Yixing always so short?
Jiang Yixing glanced at her phone; it was already eight o'clock. Normally, she would be in the practice room practicing with the other students by this time, but today she was dawdling in her dormitory instead of going out.
Rong Hang released his grip, realizing that he seemed to have caused trouble for Jiang Yixing's work.
"Okay, I'm leaving."
Rong Hang took out another scroll, which was a thank-you gift that Ji Fu had made for them after he woke up.
Rong Hang didn't hold back at all; he used two precious scrolls in the process.
Jiang Yixing grabbed Rong Hang's wrist, stood on tiptoe, and leaned in to kiss the corner of his lips. "A reward for a good boy."
Rong Hang couldn't control his heartbeat that time, and the corners of his mouth turned up in an unusual way, which he couldn't suppress no matter what.
With a little bit of elation and joy, Rong Hang tore up the scroll and returned to the hotel where he had come from.
Jiang Yixing, who remained there, pushed open the door. The morning sunlight outside was warm, and several lights could be seen on in the practice room.
"Good morning, teaching assistant!"
"Teaching Assistant, you're up so early!" "Have you had breakfast yet, Teaching Assistant Jiang?"
Along the way, the students they encountered greeted Jiang Yixing. Some noticed that Jiang Yixing had a rosy complexion and a smile on his lips, and asked, "Hey, teaching assistant, you seem to be in a good mood today."
Jiang Yixing smiled and nodded, her smile as sweet as honey, sparkling in the sunlight. "The sunshine is nice, and so is my mood."
