Chapter 217 The Man in Black

After he finished speaking, the four of them fell silent for a moment.

Jiang Yixing paused for a moment, "I guess our situation is that we were chosen and then sent to the Immortal Realm."

Everyone looked at Ji Fu.

Clearly, the only one capable of sending people to another world is Ji Fu.

However, Ji Fu himself suffered from amnesia. Unable to return to his original body, he couldn't remember anything that had happened. He shook his head: "No memory."

As expected, Jiang Yixing was not surprised. Instead, he comforted the others, saying, "It's alright. In any case, this matter is definitely related to the four major families."

Jiang Yixing's lips curled into a smile. "We'll give them a taste of their own medicine. We must obtain Ji Fu's true form."

Gu Chun paused, glanced at Ji Fu sitting beside him whose breathing was still somewhat disordered, and his eyes deepened. "Hmm."

Ji Fu: "But in the last 40 years, four people should have been sent away. So who was the last one?"

Jiang Yixing shook his head. "I don't know yet."

Ji Fu: "Have you noticed any suspicious individuals?"

After a moment's thought, Rong Hang said, "No."

The remaining two also shook their heads.

Rong Hang: "This matter is definitely related to the four major families. We will know everything once we get Huang Shengzhong."

Indeed, there's no use in being anxious now.

Ji Fu relaxed and said with a smile, "Alright, we've been talking about serious business for so long, and we haven't even eaten yet."

“Let’s go,” Jiang Yixing was the first to stand up, “Let’s try the local specialties.”

The group arrived at the restaurant, where the specialty of Northwest China is noodles. All kinds of noodles were made so exquisitely that they seemed to be works of art rather than food.

The moment it entered his mouth, Jiang Yixing's eyes lit up. "It's delicious!"

Ji Fu also smiled slightly, looking somewhat like his former self. "Hmm, it tastes delicious, and has a perfect combination of color, aroma, and flavor."

Jiang Yixing picked up a piece of tomato spaghetti with his chopsticks. The combination of Chinese and Western flavors made it quite unique. The spaghetti was smooth yet soft and chewy, and when paired with the sweet and sour tomato sauce, it was simply irresistible.

Just as Jiang Yixing was about to start on the next dish—miniature shumai—he caught a glimpse of a black figure out of the corner of his eye.

The man was wearing a long-sleeved black trench coat and appeared to be tall and slender.

Jiang Yixing glanced at him once before looking away. She didn't recognize him, but for some reason, she felt a sense of familiarity with him.

Jiang Yixing absentmindedly popped a small shumai into his mouth. The savory and fragrant taste exploded in his mouth, with small pieces of lean meat and glutinous rice complementing each other, adding to the aroma without being overly greasy.

"What's wrong?"

Rong Hang noticed that Jiang Yixing was distracted, so he put a sweet black glutinous rice ball into Jiang Yixing's bowl.

Jiang Yixing was still thinking about the figure of the person who had just passed by. The figure seemed familiar. When Rong Hang handed her a small shumai, she opened her mouth and naturally took a bite.

Rong Hang paused for a moment, watching Jiang Yixing eat the shumai on his chopsticks, a little oil glistening on his rosy lips.

Jiang Yixing didn't notice Rong Hang's strange behavior; he simply began to search his memory for that figure.

Rong Hang silently picked up another dish that Jiang Yixing liked and fed it to Jiang Yixing's mouth.

Jiang Yixing accepted it all without hesitation, obediently opening his mouth to catch it.

Rong Hang experienced a unique kind of pleasure in feeding Jiang Yixing. Watching Jiang Yixing eat with relish, the soft flesh on his cheeks bulging from the food, he seemed to be thinking about something, his brows slightly furrowed, yet his mouth never stopped, making him look exceptionally cute.

Rong Hang picked up another spoonful of tofu, and at this moment Jiang Yixing finally realized what was happening and waved her hand in refusal, "I don't want to eat anymore, I don't want to eat anymore."

Rong Hang's eyes dimmed slightly.

Ji Fu, who had been holding back his laughter, was in so much pain that his stomach hurt. He steadied himself by supporting himself on Gu Chun's leg with one hand.

Jiang Yixing picked up the teacup and took a sip to moisten his throat, but suddenly he gripped the cup tightly in his hand. He couldn't help but use force, and two cracks appeared on the small ceramic teacup.

Jiang Yixing's voice was deep and resonant: "I remember now."

"It's the one who bewitched the fairy."

Although Rong Hang didn't see anyone, he immediately realized: "You saw him?"

Jiang Yixing stood up. "They went that way. They haven't gone far. Let's chase after them."

The four of them quickly stood up. Before leaving, Ji Fu paid the bill and also paid for the cup that Jiang Yixing had accidentally crushed.

The group left the hotel and followed the direction where the figure disappeared. Jiang Yixing said, "The aura on that person was chaotic and very strange. I suspect that he is not from this world."

Jiang Yixing said this partly because he had just mentioned the four people who had traveled to another world, and it was hard not to connect them with this person who had suddenly appeared.

Furthermore, although Jiang Yixing only caught a fleeting glimpse of him, he could sense that his spiritual power was rich and profound. Although it was quite frenzied, it was not as weak as that of people in this world.

Jiang Yixing hurriedly followed the residual spiritual energy, gradually leaving the bustling streets and arriving at a desolate open space. The buildings around him were decreasing, while the green plants were increasing, as if he had moved from the city to the countryside.

The four men's vigilance escalated.

At the far end of his sight, the familiar figure suddenly appeared and stopped in place. It seemed that he had noticed someone following him. Instead of hiding, he turned around and faced them directly.

Jiang Yixing watched the figure waiting for their arrival unhurriedly, and a bad feeling rose in his heart. However, they were about to meet, and it was impossible to give up now.

The man had short, prickly hair and was completely covered by a long black trench coat with an especially large hood that covered his head, making it look like he was wearing a large hooded cape.

From Jiang Yixing's perspective, all that could be seen was his strong, square jaw and the corners of his mouth that were currently turned up.

Before Jiang Yixing and the others could speak, the man spoke first, seemingly unsurprised by their pursuit: "Hello, friends."

The man's voice was very pleasant, like a jar of fine wine, with a seductive quality in the last syllable.

Upon hearing the man's voice, Jiang Yixing became even more certain that this was the person they were looking for.

His voice is so distinctive that anyone who hears it once will never forget it.

Rong Hang subtly reached out and shielded Jiang Yixing behind him. The man's voice was strange, probably from some kind of seductive technique, carrying a seductive quality.

Rong Hang's expression was cold and stern. "Who are you?"

The man chuckled softly, his voice like a fine wine aged for many years, its aroma wafting in everyone's ears.

"You guys need to introduce yourselves first, right? Aren't you the ones following me?"
