Chapter 219 Battle

The fox's white fur was half-stained red by the gushing blood, which fell onto the muddy ground and stained the soil.

Ji Fu watched the sky closely from behind, and acted swiftly. As soon as Jiang Yixing dodged the fox's sneak attack, he immediately launched his own attack.

The arrow shot out with lightning speed, piercing the fox's flesh. Although it looked terrifying, it did not actually cause fatal damage.

If treated promptly, the fox whose mind has been controlled will not suffer any lasting effects.

At this moment, Rong Hang had already arrived in front of the man in black. Before the man could react, Rong Hang's sword was already piercing his chest.

For a moment, he was stunned. He looked down at the sword in his chest and the blood slowly flowing out.

He suddenly realized that he had been stabbed.

A belated wave of pain washed over him, and the man's expression changed drastically, his voice suddenly rising in volume.

The demonic beasts on the ground became even more frenzied. At the same time, many high-level demonic beasts, like the fox from before, came flying through the air, aiming at Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang.

Jiang Yixing stood on his flying sword, looking at the monsters on the ground that kept trying to pounce on him, and for a moment he felt a phobia of trypophobia.

She shook herself and immediately spread out a large net made of dry branches. The net looked as if it would break at the slightest touch, but in reality, it was incredibly strong and indestructible.

The monsters had clearly gone mad, charging forward wave after wave as if they didn't care about their lives, only to crash into Jiang Yixing's protective netting, leaving them dazed and confused. Then they plummeted from the sky, their attack power diminished by Gu Chun's subsequent assault.

While Jiang Yixing was busy dealing with the crazed monsters, Rong Hang was fighting with the man.

The man rode a flying demonic beast, constantly traversing through the clouds. When he saw Rong Hang, he tried to chase after him, but the bird demon kept spewing fire, and the scorching and explosive flames came head-on towards Rong Hang.

Rong Hang did not slow down at all. The fire seemed to go out silently as it reached Rong Hang, gradually weakening until it was completely extinguished.

Rong Hang's sword was as fast as a streak of light, constantly slashing at the man's body, and half of the bird demon's fur was stained red with the man's blood.

Jiang Yixing rode in on his sword, accompanied by unstoppable vines, blocking the man's path from both the front and back.

This man is not weak in combat, but even stronger in escaping.

Every time Rong Hang was about to catch him, he could always summon a constant stream of monsters to help him.

Jiang Yixing wondered if he had captured all the powerful monsters in this world to be his helpers.

The bird demon was defeated, and a new monster took its place. It was an enormous snake, green all over with bright orange-yellow eyes. It was flicking its tongue and constantly spitting out venom.

Jiang Yixing was afraid that the venom would harm Rong Hang, so he came to help.

Surrounded by Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang, the man gradually showed signs of weakness.

Seeing this, Jiang Yixing had no intention of giving him any chance to catch his breath. His eyes darkened, and large sparks accompanied by swirling ice mist surrounded the man, plunging him into a world of both fire and ice.

The snake's body couldn't withstand the alternating cold and heat, and it struggled to escape.

However, Rong Hang's sword, like a beam of light piercing the sky, landed on the snake's body, firmly fixing him in place.

Seeing that things were not going well, the man turned to run away.

Jiang Yixing chanted incantations, activating the fire and ice mist. The two completely incompatible states collided, instantly creating a thick fog that completely enveloped the figures of the group.

Ji Fu watched from below, his heart pounding with fear, wishing he could fly up to the sky and see what was going on.

Just as he was getting anxious, two figures suddenly darted out from the center of the thick fog.

Ji Fu looked closely and saw that it was Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang. Jiang Yixing was standing on Rong Hang's sword, and Rong Hang had his arm around her waist. The two of them rushed down.

Jiang Yixing stood with her back to the ground, looking up at the sky. She waved her fingers in the air, manipulating the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. Golden light danced between her fingers, forming talismans with her movements.

The sky suddenly exploded, followed by a moment of silence after the enormous sound, and then, like fireworks exploding, the airflow surged out to create an orange-red mushroom cloud.

Half the sky seemed to have been dyed red.

The massive impact cleared away all the debris.

The ground was completely calm, without even a breeze, as if it were a completely different world from the air, which was only a hundred meters away.

Gu Chun looked up and saw golden light flashing around the shockwave.

He realized that Jiang Yixing must have set up the restriction.

Rong Hang placed Jiang Yixing in a safe location, but still couldn't help glaring at her.

Jiang Yixing saw the criticism in his eyes, stuck out her tongue and said, "I was just afraid he would run away."

Rong Hang patted her head, and the next second he appeared in the air where the aftershocks had not yet completely subsided. He stepped into the barrier and then pulled out a figure that was barely breathing.

Jiang Yixing looked at the man covered in blood and whose clothes were burned off, and opened his mouth. He looked rather pitiful.

Rong Hang immediately noticed Jiang Yixing's gaze, glared at her angrily, then took out a cloak from his storage ring and covered the man's naked body completely.

Jiang Yixing's eyebrows twitched as he watched Rong Hang's actions.

What? Does she think she could possibly covet that man's body? She's just checking his injuries!

Rong Hang handed the man over to Gu Chun, who had been diligently fighting monsters and was finally getting a rest, and then went to Jiang Yixing.

Seeing Rong Hang's gloomy expression, Jiang Yixing was the first to defend herself: "I didn't look at him. He's skinny, like a shriveled chicken breast. Why would I look at him?"

Upon hearing this, Rong Hang's expression immediately turned sour.

The look in his eyes as he stared at Jiang Yixing clearly conveyed, "You're still saying you haven't seen it?"

Ji Fu leaned against the tree trunk beside him and chuckled twice.

Jiang Yixing grinned awkwardly, "Well... I just have really good eyesight."

Jiang Yixing reached out and hooked Rong Hang's finger, his smaller hand sliding across Rong Hang's palm.

Jiang Yixing pouted, looking aggrieved: "Don't be angry."

Rong Hang clenched his fist and placed it near his mouth to hide the corners of his mouth that couldn't help but turn up. He coughed dramatically and said, "I can't be so reckless in the future."

Jiang Yixing knew he was referring to her using "Ice and Fire" earlier.

"Uh-huh."

Jiang Yixing grabbed Rong Hang's arm and shook it, raising his hand to swear, "I won't do it again."
