Chapter 220 Torture

Rong Hang looked at the adorable Jiang Yixing and couldn't help but ruffle her hair.

Ji Fu, standing beside him, smiled silently as he watched the two of them being so intimate.

Once the man in black was in Gu Chun's hands, he was immediately fitted with a specially made bracelet from the Alliance that imprisoned spiritual energy, making him a truly helpless prisoner.

The man's expression turned gloomy, and he no longer had the composure he had at the beginning.

Having captured the man, the group dared not linger any longer and rushed back to the Alliance headquarters without hesitation, sending him directly to a prison specifically for serious offenders.

Then came the interrogation. The man was very tight-lipped and, even after being tortured by professionals for two or three days, he still managed not to reveal any information.

Nowadays, there are laws governing executions in the spirit world. If a man refuses to confess even to the death, it is still quite inconvenient to determine his guilt, even if some awakened demons identify him.

Jiang Yixing decided to personally sound out the man's opinion.

Rong Hang naturally followed along.

Gu Chun and Ji Fu led the way. They were already very familiar with the structure of the prison. They walked through a dark and damp corridor, with individual prison cells on both sides, and some of the cells were completely enclosed.

Jiang Yixing only glanced at it, but a chill ran down his spine.

I don't know what kind of prisoner needs to be locked in such a solitary confinement cell. The psychological pressure brought by the complete silence and darkness is enormous. I estimate that the person would go completely insane in less than a week.

The man wasn't locked in the room, but there was only one door that could be opened from the outside and a small window through which sunlight would shine in. Apart from that, there were no other facilities in the room.

The man sat in the corner, looking much more haggard than before.

His previous appearance was indeed a disguise, and now, under torture, his true face has been revealed.

Hearing the door open, the man looked up at the person who came in.

Jiang Yixing saw a handsome face. Although he had suffered greatly and was so thin that his cheeks were sunken and his brow bones were prominent, his excellent bone structure indicated that he had a good appearance.

Upon seeing the newcomer, the man chuckled softly. His voice no longer carried the allure of spiritual energy, but it wasn't unpleasant to hear either.

What are you doing here?

"Chongshan, what's the point of you wasting your time here with us? You might as well just tell the truth now."

Ji Fu's voice was clear and bright as he called out the man's name.

Hahahaha—

Chongshan laughed and raised an eyebrow. "Fighting with others is endlessly enjoyable. I'm not afraid of death, and you won't get anything out of me."

Jiang Yixing noticed that Chongshan had many superficial wounds, but his voice was very strong, not at all like someone who had been seriously injured.

Jiang Yixing stepped closer, unafraid of the sudden surge of the mountain, because he was already tightly bound by chains and could no longer exert any spiritual power.

Chongshan and Jiang Yixing faced each other, a wicked look flashing in their eyes.

"Why are you standing so close, little girl? Could it be that you've been bewitched by my good looks?"

Jiang Yixing smiled but didn't say anything, though he thought to himself that Chongshan's quirk was really not in line with his age.

Judging from his age, he looks to be only in his twenties or thirties. How could he call a girl in her twenties a "little girl"?

Unless he, like Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang, has an age mismatch between his appearance and actual age.

Jiang Yixing became even more certain of his guess. He straightened up and calmly asked, "You're not from this world, are you?"

Chongshan's expression changed for a moment.

Jiang Yixing didn't miss the look of shock in his pupils and understood.

Rong Hang also stepped forward, and the two of them stood on either side of Chong Shan.

Chongshan was sitting while they were standing, which added a lot of pressure to the scene.

Chongshan tried his best to remain calm. He guessed that Jiang Yixing had just gotten some information from somewhere and came over to try and get information out of him.

He couldn't possibly tell; this matter was far too significant, and keeping it quiet might offer a glimmer of hope.

Jiang Yixing had a clear understanding of his inner thoughts at this moment, and she smiled as if victory was in her grasp.

"You're not thinking you can get away with it by denying everything, are you?"

Despite having a bright and cheerful appearance like spring blossoms and a clear and gentle voice like a spring, Jiang Yixing was as terrifying as a raging flood in Chongshan's eyes.

Chongshan maintained his last bit of stubbornness, squinting his eyes, "I don't know what you're talking about."

Rong Hang's words shattered Chong Shan's last shred of hope, "You're a demon, aren't you?"

He had previously felt that this person's use of spiritual energy was abnormal, but he was too busy fighting to pay close attention at the time. Now, however, he understood it perfectly.

Strangely enough, although Chongshan was a demon, he used spiritual realm techniques. However, unlike ordinary cultivators who use spiritual power, the bloodline of demons is incompatible with spiritual energy. He can only use techniques in reverse, otherwise he cannot withstand them.

Rong Hang never expected that there would be demons who actually cultivated spiritual power, so he was caught off guard.

Chongshan's exceptionally strong physique and extraordinary recovery ability are precisely due to his demon bloodline.

Ji Fu and Gu Chun exchanged a glance, surprised. Demons shouldn't exist in this world.

Chongshan was completely panicked. How could they know about the demon race? There were no demons in this realm at all!

Unless they... are not from this world either.

As if he had found a handle, Chongshan shouted at Ji Fu and Gu Chun, "They are not from this world! Why haven't you, the alliance, arrested them?!"

Jiang Yixing chuckled, not understanding Chongshan's thought process.

Aren't I and Gu Chun obviously in cahoots? What does Chong Shan mean by ordering Gu Chun to arrest them?

Could it be that he thought Gu Chun would betray him at the crucial moment?

Chongshan was clearly wrong about one thing. What he thought were the secrets of cultivation were actually known to Jiang Yixing and the other three, and they might even know more than Chongshan did, since they had even gone to the Immortal Realm to find books to corroborate their findings.

Seeing that Gu Chun and Ji Fu had no reaction, and that Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang showed no sign of panic, Chongshan felt a chill in his heart.

He was now confused about what these four people knew, whether they knew everything about him, and whether they had just come to see his attitude.

Chongshan's panic was visible to the naked eye, and Jiang Yixing immediately took out the "Dispersing God Plate" from his storage ring.

“Chongshan, we certainly have ways to find out what you have done. My magical artifact can detect your divine sense, and we will know your story once we find out. However, the damage to your divine sense caused by the Dispersing Divine Disc is irreversible.”

Jiang Yixing's voice deepened: "Think about it yourself, whether you want to report it voluntarily or have us use the magic artifact."

Chongshan had heard of the legendary San Shen Pan, and under the constant stimulation, he was at a loss.

After a long while, he finally spoke: "I will speak."
