Chapter 261

The new film is progressing much faster than He Mang had anticipated.

He discovered that Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang were each a force to be reckoned with when they were alone, but their efficiency doubled when they worked together. When the two performed together, they always managed to create something special, and their efficiency was incredibly high.

The female lead, played by Jiang Yixing, has entered the growth stage of her character. She is completely attracted to the male lead and firmly believes that she has chosen the right person who can bring happiness to the whole country.

With such love in her heart, Jiang Yixing threw herself into her work every day.

She wore a wide white silk robe, with a light yellow gauze skirt embroidered with flowers as her outer garment. After spending some time recuperating in the palace, she seemed to have undergone a complete transformation. Her skin gradually became fair and tender, the strength she had gained from working in the fields gradually disappeared, and her face became fuller. When she smiled slightly, her eyes curved like crescent moons, and the flowers on her outer garment bloomed together, making her even more romantic than springtime.

When Ling Yun walked in, Liu saw this scene and couldn't help but feel a little smug. This Su Yinghong was not only skilled, but also beautiful.

Ling Yun's features were exquisite, and a clear smile graced his face as he spoke: "Cherry Blossom."

Su Yinghong shuddered and turned around to look at the man in front of her, who still shone like jade. "Third Prince!"

Her voice was filled with obvious surprise, and she rushed into Lingyun's arms like a little animal returning to its mother's embrace.

Ling Yun reached out and caught her, then gave a wink to the attendants around him, who then disappeared into the shadows.

Su Yinghong never imagined she would meet such a man—he was of noble character and kind heart. Although he held a high position, he was still considerate of the people and often talked to Su Yinghong about their hardships.

Ling Yun respected her greatly. She harbored a fire in her heart, a burning anger at the injustice of the world. She hadn't told anyone, nor dared to, because they would expose her and report her!

Despite being victims themselves, they willingly entered the trap set by the rulers and bound themselves to their own desires.

However, Ling Yun was different. He was always gentle and tolerant, as if everything Su Yinghong did was right, and he even agreed with Su Yinghong's ideas.

Su Yinghong silently made a decision: if there was anyone in the royal family who could lead the country well, it would undoubtedly be the Third Prince!

Ling Yun smiled and looked down at Su Yinghong's expression. Her face was red and her eyes were bright, making her easy to read.

Beneath the sweet atmosphere surrounding the two lay an undercurrent of tension, which Su Yinghong was completely unaware of.

He Mang nodded. Every time he watched Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang, it was like watching a brand new movie. Every second of their eyes and movements was full of tension. Ling Yun seemed to be immersed in it but actually detached from it, like a Buddha statue that was detached from the world and looked down on all living beings. Su Yinghong was fully committed and did everything with all her passion, like a torch that burned itself to illuminate the whole world.

Through a single scene, everyone present was able to visualize the two characters, as if they were truly living in the present moment.

Liu Yixuan jogged over. It was already winter, and the temperature had dropped. However, the actors were still mostly wearing only one or two layers of clothing for filming, with a few heat packs on top. But in the cold weather, the heat packs were much less effective.

She put a long black down jacket in one hand and a pot of brown sugar water in the other, quickly wrapping Jiang Yixing up tightly and stuffing the brown sugar water into her hands to warm them.

"You acted so well!! I thought I was in a movie theater!"

After finishing the task of keeping warm, Liu Yixuan praised Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang's acting skills.

Jiang Yixing's eyes curved into crescents. She felt that this shoot went exceptionally smoothly, and she was basically performing beyond her usual level. She looked at Rong Hang, who was standing outside the set, wearing the same long black down jacket as Jiang Yixing.

His hair reached his waist, and his features were exquisite. Standing there, he seemed to isolate himself from the surrounding air, like a figure in a painting.

Rong Hang keenly noticed Jiang Yixing's gaze. Seeing her smiling and looking over, his expression softened instantly, and his eyes were filled with unconscious doting affection. He curled the corners of his lips and walked towards Jiang Yixing.

Jiang Yixing sat on the warm recliner, looking up as Rong Hang approached step by step. He came against the light, half of his face hidden in shadow, which further accentuated his well-defined bone structure.

Jiang Yixing reached out her hand, a smile in her eyes.

Rong Hang grabbed her hand, blocking the sunlight in front of him, and enclosed Jiang Yixing within his own space.

"It feels really great to film with you."

Jiang Yixing's voice was gentle.

Liu Yixuan had already stood up on her own initiative to shield her boss from the stares of others.

Rong Hang grasped Jiang Yixing's hand but quickly let go, then sat down on the recliner next to her.

People around occasionally glanced over and could only see Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang sitting side by side again, thinking to themselves: They really have a good relationship.

Gu Chun grabbed Ji Fu's hand, and the sword in Ji Fu's hand was just centimeters away from Xie Shun's neck.

A bead of sweat dripped from Xie Shun's forehead. He refused to admit that he had felt a moment of panic. As soon as Ji Fu sheathed his sword, he glared at him angrily: "Ji Fu! Are you crazy?!"

Ji Fu was blocked behind Gu Chun, his expression icy. "Didn't the Xie family think about retribution when they did these things?"

Xie Shun was intimidated by his gaze, but still kept a straight face and raised eyebrows. "Retribution? Cultivators fight for opportunities. We have left enough room for future generations. We are people they will always be grateful to. Survival of the fittest. What do you, a spirit who knows nothing of human suffering, know? Opportunities are naturally reserved for those who are prepared."

"Treating selfishness as a magic weapon and ignorance as pride," Ji Fu sneered. Gu Chun had never seen him like this before, and a hint of concern appeared in his eyes. "What do you think is the reason why the cultivation of immortality in this realm has been passed down for so long? You have cut off the path of the entire realm! Heaven has eyes, and what you have done will surely be repaid to you."

"Impossible! The Xie family exists! The Xie family will always exist!"

Ji Fu sneered, "If this is your last wish, then save it for when you tell your superiors."

Xie Shun's expression changed drastically. He hadn't expected Ji Fu to actually go to such lengths. Their Xie family was the head of the four great families! How dare they?!

“It’s just a mere artifact spirit,” Xie Shun still struggled in his death throes, “Do you think they’ll listen to you?”

Ji Fu turned his head and said, "That's right, I'm just a mere artifact spirit."

Then, with a smile playing on her lips, a bright flower bloomed on her cold face. "I too must fulfill my mission."
