The driver stopped at the location indicated by the navigation. "Young master, is this the place?"
As far as the driver could see, there was an open space with a few small houses in the corner. Looking at the red and green signs—"A Xiang Sichuan Restaurant" and "Night Fragrance Massage"—he looked left and right but didn't see a pet hospital. He asked uncertainly.
Rong Hang nodded. In his eyes, there was a three-story building on that open space. The main building was the largest, and the auxiliary buildings on both sides surrounded the main building, forming a semi-circle.
Before getting out of the car, Jiang Yixing pointed to the open space and said to the driver, "There's a privately owned pet hospital if you go through there."
The driver nodded and looked in that direction. Although he didn't see any buildings, he didn't suspect anything.
Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang arrived in front of the small building, where a sign hung in front of it—"Demon Management Bureau," with a bilingual translation—one side in Chinese and the other in the demon script.
The two pushed open the door and entered. In the driver's eyes, the two walked further and further away until they disappeared from sight.
Upon entering, you'll find a very modern decor. Unlike typical lobbies, the lobby on the first floor is not empty; instead, it's divided into three areas: a front desk for transgender registration, a counter for answering questions about transgender matters, and a counter for resolving transgender disputes. Each area is packed with people and transgender individuals.
As soon as Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang entered, each of them was carrying a demon in their hand. This combination was not uncommon, and everyone just glanced at them briefly before turning back to do their own thing.
The black bear and white tiger in the two cages were stunned. They looked at each other across Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang. The black bear clung to the bars, wishing it could stick its head out to get a closer look.
A spectacular sight: humans and demons living together in one room! You won't want to miss it!
Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang arrived at the registration desk and placed the cage on the counter. "Hello, please register these two demons. We just caught them today."
The receptionist turned out to be a weasel spirit who had transformed into human form, with eyes the size of small green beans on her face.
The black bear, clinging to the cage, greeted it, "Hey, weasel spirit, why are you working for humans? Did humans coerce you?"
The weasel quickly waved his hands: "How could that be! I am very loyal to the Alliance!"
She'd heard of the Alliance before! The human who captured her claimed to be from the Alliance!
Upon hearing this, the black bear immediately bared its teeth at the weasel, "You wicked monster! Work for humans!"
Every demon who just arrived at the Demon Management Bureau would say these things, and even those who couldn't speak would curse them in their hearts. Weasel's ears were calloused from hearing them so many times.
He ignored the black bear and instead asked Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang, "Please state your names, you two cultivators."
Every cultivator who goes to capture demons has been assigned a mission and is registered. This is to prevent some people from capturing demons for the sake of capturing demons, which would disrupt the balance between humans and demons.
"Jiang Yixing".
"Ronghang".
“Okay, Jiang Yixing, Rong…” The weasel suddenly looked up, “What! You two are the new Foundation Establishment cultivators!”
Now all eyes in the entire hall and all three areas were focused on this, and after a moment of silence, the transvestites surged forth.
"One star! Give me your autograph!"
"Here! Look here!"
"Ah!! They are indeed extremely handsome! I really want to cultivate with them!" The fox demon cupped her face, her eyes shining.
The demon beside him took three steps back and roared, "You're dreaming!"
Jiang Yixing had no idea that he and Rong Hang had become so famous, and was forced back two steps by the atmosphere.
Upon hearing the commotion, the head of the Demon Management Bureau came downstairs and pulled Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang upstairs to hide.
The person in charge, with rabbit ears perked up on his head, patted his chest nervously, "Are you two alright?"
Jiang Yixing waved his hand, the cage in his hand swaying back and forth. It turned out that the black bear was jumping around in the cage, muttering incessantly, "Where is this? Why are there so many monsters? And so many humans? What do you want with us?"
With its soft, sweet voice and shrunk size, it looks incredibly cute.
The person in charge, Wang Tutu, bent down, cupped her face in her hands, and exclaimed, "Ah, a little black bear and a little white tiger. So cute!"
Rong Hang handed the cage to Wang Tutu, glanced at his watch, and realized it was almost six o'clock; they were running out of time.
"This is yours."
"Okay, sure."
Jiang Yixing handed her the black bear he was holding, "I'm freed from my restraints?"
Wang Tutu tilted her head. "Okay."
Jiang Yixing drew a circle in the air with his finger, and the cage disappeared, while the white tiger and black bear instantly grew to the height of half a story.
The white tiger leaped in front of the black bear, opening its blood-red maw to face the seemingly weak rabbit demon.
Wang Tutu simply smiled, a red light flashing in her eyes, and said, "It's time for your two adorable babies to go to sleep."
As soon as he finished speaking, the two demonic beasts collapsed. A flash of surprise crossed Jiang Yixing's eyes. It was actually a verbal restriction, which was quite strange.
Before leaving, Jiang Yixing called out, "I'll come see them again later."
Wang Tutu was directing her monsters to carry the two enormous creatures into the room when she heard this. She turned around, met Jiang Yixing's smiling eyes, paused for a second, and then smiled broadly and said, "Okay."
Jiang Yixing and Rong Hang came out through the back door and returned along the same route. The sky was getting darker, and Rong Hang unconsciously clenched his sleeve. "I made a reservation at a very famous Chinese restaurant."
Jiang Yixing turned to look at Rong Hang, her features appearing even more delicate in the dim light. "Hmm?"
"Would you like to have dinner with me?"
Rong Hang met Jiang Yixing's eyes and saw the smile in her eyes. His eyes were upturned at the corners, and his eyelashes were long and curled.
"OK."
Rong Hang's heart pounded, like a thousand fireworks exploding. His trembling eyelashes fluttered upwards as he gazed at Jiang Yixing with tenderness and affection.
Jiang Yixing was caught by his gaze, lowered her head and chuckled softly.
When the two got into the car, Rong Hang gave them the restaurant's address.
This time, the driver recognized the address. He smiled, his eyes full of satisfaction. "Young Master, are you going to have dinner with Miss Jiang?"
"Um."
Rong Hang replied in a low voice, and the car slowly started moving. He turned his head to look at the clouds outside the car window. For some reason, the sky outside was full of rosy clouds. Perhaps tomorrow would be a good day.
Jiang Yixing opened the car window slightly, and the wind blew into the car through the gap. The summer breeze carried a strong warmth and gently brushed against Jiang Yixing's cheek.
She pulled out a handful of mints that Rong Hang had given her that morning from her pocket, tore off the plastic wrapper, and popped one into her mouth. The aroma of mint exploded in her mouth, filling her oral cavity and nasal cavity.
The driver glanced at the two men through the rearview mirror, neither of them looking at the other, yet there was an indescribable atmosphere in the car.
Rong Hang rested his chin on one hand, his long fingers just covering the slight redness that had appeared at the corner of his eye.
Jiang Yixing had a piece of candy in her mouth, her eyes crinkling with laughter. When she met the driver's gaze, her smile deepened.
The driver snapped out of his daze and thought to himself, "Young Master really has good taste."
