Chapter Eleven

Regardless of the online uproar, Jiang Yixing, a name that was previously unknown, saw its click count multiply within a few hours.

Jiang Yixing himself had fallen asleep early and was completely unaware of the online commotion.

Evening, Rong Family Mansion—

Since Ronghang prospered, the Rong family has been immersed in an unprecedented atmosphere of joy. Everyone, from the young and old to the servants, has felt a sense of ease that they have never imagined in a long time.

At this moment, after dinner, the Rong family was sitting on the sofa resting and chatting.

Rong Hang sat alone on the right side of the sofa, holding his laptop, leaning against the back of the sofa.

Rong family mother Jin Yuzhen sat in the middle of the sofa, with her husband Rong Chengchang beside her.

Rongyuan sat on the far left, a book on his lap, which he was carefully flipping through.

Rong's second brother also returned from the military region today. He sat across from everyone, and the family enjoyed a rare moment of reunion.

Jin Yuzhen held a tablet, scrolled through Weibo, opened the trending topics list, and browsed it from top to bottom.

"Woman bravely apprehends thief in the street..." Jin Yuzhen read aloud, tapped the trending search, and read the second half of the sentence, "Angrily kicks a 100-kilogram motorcycle."

"Wow, that's impressive," Rong Wei, the second brother, laughed, and leaned over to watch the screen with his mother.

Jin Yuzhen clicked on the video. The initial footage was a bit shaky, and a man in black could be seen running quickly across the street. Before the audience could figure out what was going on, a figure rushed out from behind the camera, suddenly appeared in the frame, and then ran across the street, leaping over two fences to reach the man in black.

Roewe whistled, "Perfect form."

The person in the shot is vaguely a woman with long hair tied up, swaying as she moves.

Just as the woman was about to grab the thief, the thief nimbly dodged and jumped onto a motorcycle that was already waiting in front.

"So they were accomplices!" Jin Yuzhen suddenly realized.

The woman quickly changed direction, braced herself with one hand, pushed off with her feet, and ran towards the motorcycle. The motorcycle had already started and was about to leave the street in the next second.

"Oh dear----" Jin Yuzhen sighed regretfully.

Roewe stared at the screen with great interest, only to see the woman move swiftly, darting forward and kicking the motorcycle hard.

The motorcycle, weighing at least 100 kilograms, was kicked several meters away by the woman.

"Wow!" Jin Yuzhen exclaimed in surprise, opening her mouth wide as she shared with her husband, "Old Rong, look at this!"

The moment it was handed over, the camera zoomed in, capturing Jiang Yixing's face as she turned around.

"What a beautiful girl," Jin Yuzhen exclaimed.

Rong Hang's consciousness casually swept across the tablet screen, but he froze the next second when he saw the woman's appearance.

As soon as Rong Chengchang took the tablet, he noticed Rong Hang staring at him. "Xiao Hang, what's wrong?"

Rong Hang stared at the tablet. The video started looping again on its own. The woman's movements were light and fluid, her figure slender and her posture upright.

"Can I take a look?" Rong Hang asked.

Rong Chengzhang and Jin Yuzhen exchanged a glance, concealing their excitement, "Of course!"

Rong Hang finally spoke!

This was the first time he had spoken to them on his own initiative! Apart from calling out "Mom and Dad" when he first woke up that day, he had been immersed in his own world for the next few days.

Although the Rong family didn't say it, they were extremely worried. He had finally regained his mental clarity; they couldn't be afraid he might develop psychological problems!

Rong's parents racked their brains. Jin Yuzhen, usually very lively, seemed a little nervous around her youngest son and rarely spoke a word to him. Rong Chengzhang, on the other hand, wasn't a talkative person to begin with, and when asked to communicate with Rong Hang, the two remained silent.

So Rong's parents put their heads together and decided to call Rong Wei, the most lively boy in the family, back to see if he could chat with his younger brother a bit more.

Rong Wei is the kind of person who can talk to anyone, and he can chat with anyone. But even he can't say more than a few words to Rong Hang.

Sometimes, when Rongwei looked at Ronghang, he felt that although Ronghang was no longer mentally impaired, he didn't seem to belong to the family. It was as if his soul had been taken away by someone and he was never truly at home.

“Thank you,” Rong Hang’s long eyelashes trembled, his black eyes standing out even more against his fair face, “...Dad.”

"Why!"

Rong Chengzhang responded loudly, his eyes glistening with tears. He hadn't cried even on the day Rong Hang regained consciousness, but now he couldn't help but shed tears. "We're family! No need for thanks!"

The whole family got excited. Even Rongyuan, who was the calmest, was happy. The corners of his mouth turned up slightly, but he still pretended to be calm and read his book.

The living room fell silent for a moment, everyone pretending to be busy with their own things, but their eyes were secretly glancing at Rong Hang.

How could Rong Hang not notice their actions?

The meridians that were not tainted by demonic energy were easier to cultivate. Even though his spiritual energy was currently weak, Rong Hang's cultivation was going very smoothly. Not to mention his extremely powerful soul, almost nothing within a few miles could escape his gaze.

Therefore, although Rong Hang did not participate in all the discussions of the Rong family, he was fully aware of everything they said, even though he seemed to be engrossed in his computer.

He was enveloped in a strong sense of family affection, which made him somewhat at a loss. Rong Hang's fingers unconsciously swiped back and forth on the screen.

But his coldness seemed to have hurt his new family.

Rong Hang pursed his lips slightly and focused his attention on the screen.

The video started all over again.

From the very first scene of the woman appearing, Rong Hang knew it was Jiang Yixing.

Until the final shot focused on Jiang Yixing's face, her eyes remained as clear as ever, her lips were upturned, and her expression was radiant.

For a moment, the boundaries of time and space blurred. The woman in front of him looked exactly the same as she did a hundred years ago. Rong Hang looked at her again and again, as if he were meeting Jiang Yixing for the first time.
