Chapter Nineteen

Today, only Rong Hang and his eldest brother were at home. The second brother had returned to his unit. Jin Yuzhen went out to meet with her sisters, and Rong Chengzhang also went out to run errands with several old comrades.

The Rong family's first-floor hall was quiet, except for the sound of Rong Hang turning the pages of a book. He sat on the sofa, holding a stack of newspapers that had just been delivered that day.

Rongyuan sat down next to him, his posture upright. "Xiao Hang, are you coming to a party with me today?"

Rong Hang looked up, his voice slow and deliberate, "What kind of gathering?"

"They're just a few friends I know, I'm just introducing them to you."

Since regaining consciousness, Rong Hang has been staying at home every day and has no friends. Coincidentally, Bai Yue is holding an afternoon tea party in Gulou, so Rong Yuan wants to take him to meet everyone and let these younger generations know that the three sons of the Rong family have fully recovered.

Rongyuan remembered that Ronghang liked sweets, so he said, "It just so happens that the desserts at that place are pretty good, do you want to try them?"

Rong Hang paused for a moment, seemingly lost in thought, before finally nodding.

At 3 p.m., on the second floor of Gulouzhuanghang, several rich kids who had grown up together due to family reasons gathered together.

"Hey Bai Yue, is Rong Yuan coming today?"

“Come on,” Bai Yue said, lying on the sofa in the private room, acting all unserious, “and he brought his brother with him.”

"Roewe?"

"How come I heard that Rongwei went back to the second team?"

“Yes, he brought his youngest brother, Rong Hang,” Bai Yue said casually.

"Rong...Hang?"

"He...he's not..."

The group looked at each other in bewilderment. Wasn't Rong Hang the one who had a brain problem when he was young? Why were they bringing him here?

Bai Yue dropped another bombshell: "He's better."

"What? It's done?"

"When did this happen? How come we didn't know?"

Bai Yue smiled. "Don't you know now?"

"Try to hide that idiotic expression later. If you anger Rongyuan, it's no joke."

"I understand, I understand."

Jiang Yixing also arrived downstairs at Zhuangxing's place. Zhuangxing was decorated in a retro style, a three-story detached villa with a small courtyard around it. Several tables were placed in the courtyard, and layers of green plants climbed on the outer walls.

Gu Ruini came out of the store and waved to Jiang Yixing, "Jiang Yixing!"

Jiang Yixing waved to Gu Ruini, "Hey."

Gu Ruini jogged over, slightly out of breath, "The third floor is booked out, let's sit in a private room on the second floor."

Jiang Yixing said there was no problem.

The two entered through the main door and went up to a private room on the second floor.

Rong Hang and Rong Yuan entered from the first floor, and Rong Hang glanced at the second floor as if sensing something.

"Let's go up to the third floor."

The two groups of people were separated by one floor.

Jiang Yixing wore a striped fitted top with a black denim mini skirt and black leather boots today, looking both capable and sexy.

A slight blush appeared on Gu Ruini's face. "I've already ordered two servings of the signature dishes. Do you want anything else?"

"That's enough."

Jiang Yixing smiled at Gu Ruini, receiving a shy and timid gaze in return, her smile deepening in her eyes.

"You're so cute."

Gu Ruini's face flushed red. "You're beautiful too."

Zhuangxing's signature dishes are matcha mille-feuille and chocolate roll, and the waiters come gracefully in white robes.

"Hello, please enjoy your meal."

The matcha mille-feuille has a slightly bitter taste upon first bite, but a rich texture, with layers of pastry wrapping around cream that glides smoothly on the tongue. The chocolate roll is sweeter than expected, but paired with the signature latte, the bitterness of the coffee balances the sweetness of the chocolate roll, creating a delightful flavor.

The two sat in a private room on the second floor, their eyes crinkling with smiles, enjoying the wonderful afternoon.

The atmosphere upstairs became much more tense. The originally lively atmosphere cooled down after Rong Yuan was added, not to mention that Rong Yuan had brought Rong Hang, whom no one knew, with him today.

Rong Hang sat on the sofa, his expression indifferent.

Rongyuan was pulled aside by several people. "What happened? Are you really healed?"

“Of course,” Rong Yuan raised an eyebrow, no longer displaying the solemnity he had in front of his younger brother, “From now on, when you see my brother, the third young master of the Rong family, show him some respect.”

"No problem, no problem."

The others readily agreed, as they still had to give Rongyuan face.

Bai Yue had already moved closer to Rong Hang, resting his chin on his hand, "Little brother, do you still remember what happened before?"

Rong Hang merely raised his eyelids; to be honest, he had absolutely no interest in dealing with people outside the Rong family.

However, he did remember this person.

He and Rongyuan have been good friends since childhood. Although they went on to have very different personalities and careers as adults, they are both very nice people.

When they were little, everyone secretly disliked Rong Hang behind his back. Even Rong Wei was sometimes annoyed by his mentally challenged younger brother. But Bai Yue always had a smiling face and never said a harsh word to Rong Hang.

Upon seeing that it was Bai Yue, Rong Hang raised his head slightly. "I remember."

"Ah, that's right, then you must still remember me."

Bai Yue smiled and said, "I'm your brother Bai."

Upon hearing this, Rong Hang raised his head.

"Is that so?"

His eyes were dark, and a smile played at the corners of his mouth. His pale and thin face was breathtaking.

“I do remember that you shaved your head because you liked the girl next door.”

Bai Yue's smile froze. How could he remember this?

"What's going on? Little Yuezi, you're like this now?" the Li family boy shouted.

Bai Yue looked a little embarrassed and denied it, saying, "No."

Rong Yuan overheard the conversation and a smile crept onto his lips. At the time this happened, the others weren't familiar with Bai Yue yet; it was just his own family and a few others who were hanging out with Bai Yue.

Rong Yuan lowered his eyes slightly, not expecting that Xiao Hang still remembered this matter.

A smile flashed across Rong Hang's face, which quickly returned to its calm and composed state.

"Xiao Hang, you must be mistaken, it wasn't me!"

Bai Yue felt uneasy, thinking that Rong Hang must be a difficult person to get along with, since he still remembered something from so long ago.

Rong Hang merely raised an eyebrow, remaining silent, his expression mirroring that of his brother just moments before.

Everyone looked at Bai Yue again.

Bai Yue waved his hand awkwardly in denial.

Rong Hang himself slowly ate the cake, but frowned after the first bite; it was too sweet.

Jiang Yixing came out of the restroom and happened to see Rong Yuan coming down from the third floor.

Jiang Yixing was slightly taken aback. It did seem so…

Rong Yuan looks seven or eight parts like Rong Hang. Except that he looks more composed than Rong Hang, they are almost identical.

Rong Yuan glanced at Jiang Yixing, who was staring at him, nodded slightly, and then quickly walked towards the restroom.

As he passed by Jiang Yixing, Jiang Yixing suddenly noticed the faint scent of tea on him.

Jiang Yixing was in a daze again; he looked too much like Rong Hang.
