Chapter Ninety-Seven

The five of them continued on their way, encountering many young and old people who had come out to watch the excitement. Jiang Yixing greeted them all warmly.

They were quite surprised to hear outsiders speaking such authentic local dialect, and they chatted as they walked.

And so, the group finally arrived in front of their future "home".

Jiang Yixing waved to the villagers, "I've arrived, bye-bye!"

He said this loudly, but not very fast.

Jiang Wuzhi has always stayed by Jiang Yixing's side; in his heart, his best partner has changed from Yue Feng to Jiang Yixing.

So what if you're strong?

Communication is humanity's greatest weapon!

"I understand what you mean."

Jiang Wuzhi's determination to please others was written all over his face, which was not annoying.

Jiang Yixing smiled and said, "Then tell me what you mean."

"You said we've arrived."

"That's right."

Li Yuxin followed behind, unable to bear looking at the scene before her.

Jiang Wuzhi usually has an arrogant demeanor, but perhaps he's been scared off by this show. Whenever he encounters someone with even a little survival skills, he becomes all over the place, fawning over them.

I don't know where that arrogant and picky personality of hers went.

The photographer skillfully captured this moment, and later added a wagging tail to Jiang Wuzhi and a "speechless" emoticon to Li Yuxin.

Jiang Yixing turned his gaze to their future residence. The house in front of them was old, with a wooden door that was now locked with an iron chain, and there was a bolt at the top and bottom.

They took the key from the director's phone, unlocked the door, and Yue Feng, being tall, was in charge of the bolt on the top of the door.

Li Yuxin acted quickly and then pried open the latch near the ground.

Zheng Lan used some effort to push the door open, and as she did so, a creaking sound accompanied the dust that billowed out, drenching everyone in the face.

"Cough cough—"

The group quickly dispersed, covering their mouths and coughing.

It's so choking, all this dust.

The production team was stunned once again. Wait, how did Jiang Yixing appear just one meter away from the door?

Amidst the sounds of everyone bending over and coughing, Jiang Yixing stood out from the crowd, looking refreshed.

Standing beside him was a bewildered Jiang Wuzhi, who had been closest to Jiang Yixing just moments before.

When Jiang Yixing saw the dust filling the air, he immediately stepped back and dodged, not forgetting to grab Jiang Wuzhi as he did so.

She originally wanted to pull Li Yuxin along, but at that time she was still squatting on the ground, and Jiang Yixing was out of reach.

Jiang Wu was completely bewildered, because he felt as if he had briefly flown away?

Although... it might only be for a second!

But he really felt that for a moment his feet were off the ground.

Jiang Wuzhi turned his head and stared blankly at Jiang Yixing, only to be met with a puzzled raised eyebrow and question from Jiang Yixing.

Jiang Wuzhi appeared stunned in the camera lens, a look he had never shown before. For the first time, he, the epitome of cleverness, revealed a silly expression.

I really want people to know what he's thinking right now.

Jiang Wuzhi was currently pondering the probability of a 170cm tall woman lifting him with one hand.

The group coughed for a while, their faces covered in dust.

Jiang Yixing reached out and wiped a speck of gray from Li Yuxin's face. "You got some on you."

Li Yuxin's heart began to pound. So...so beautiful.

While everyone else looked disheveled and unkempt, she remained elegant and beautiful, like a fairy.

"Shall we go in?"

In that brief minute, both Li Yuxin and Jiang Wuzhi felt a vague sense of awe and admiration for Jiang Yixing.

At this moment, both of them nodded like chickens pecking at rice.

"Uh-huh."

Jiang Yixing walked into the room, sunlight shone down, and dust swirled in the air.

Jiang Yixing covered his mouth and nose, and brushed off the dust and dirt around him.

There was a table in the middle of the living room, with five stools next to it. On the right side of the living room was a rattan chair that could seat about three people.

There is a room on each side, one larger and one smaller. The kitchen is located at the entrance of the courtyard, consisting of only a bare earthen stove and a pot on the table.

Jiang Wuzhi picked up the spatula from the side of the pot and searched around, but couldn't find the bowls and chopsticks no matter what he did.

"There are no bowls?"

Jiang Wu glared at the production team. This guy is too ruthless! Not only do they have to find the ingredients themselves, but they also have to buy bowls and chopsticks?!

And they don't have any money at all!

The production team won back the score, and they wore victorious smiles.

"No way?"

Li Yuxin also searched for a long time but couldn't find the bowls and chopsticks. She immediately joined Jiang Wuzhi in condemning the production team with their eyes.

Zheng Lan was in the living room with the two newlyweds, and the furniture in the living room was covered with a thick layer of dust.

Both beds in the rooms were bare; the blankets, sheets, and pillows were all stored in the closets.

Zheng Lan pulled out a stack of rags from the corner, her face contorted with distress. "We need to clean up first."

Li Yuxin and Jiang Wuzhi were still joking around with the production crew in the kitchen when Zheng Lan stuffed a dishcloth into each of their hands.

"The kitchen is now in your hands. Clean it up!"

Jiang Wuzhi held a black rag, his face as black as the rag in his hand.

Jiang Yixing was also assigned to a room, the smaller one of the two rooms.

A rag lightly brushes across the tabletop, leaving a thick layer of grime. A freshly washed rag can only be used three or four times before it has to be washed again.

Because there was always a cameraman following him, Jiang Yixing couldn't use the Purification Technique.

She could only proceed step by step, wiping down each piece of furniture in the room and then sweeping the floor clean.

As the broom swept across the ground, it kicked up layers of dust, which seemed to rise up to above shoulder height.

The photographer had already started holding his breath, but no dust was seen rising.

Upon closer inspection, the dust was swirling shallowly a few dozen centimeters above the ground, unable to take flight.

The photographer stared wide-eyed, as if the dust was bound by something invisible.

It wasn't clear from the camera lens, so he peeked out and glanced at Jiang Yixing.

Jiang Yixing, who was sweeping the floor, noticed the gaze and turned around with a smile.

The photographer paused for a second, then seemed to forget about the dust.

Having cheated, Jiang Yixing cleaned exceptionally quickly, finishing a room in no time before heading out to help the others.

Zheng Lan, who was in charge of cleaning the living room, was surprised to see Jiang Yixing come out. "All done?"

Jiang Yixing nodded.

Zheng Lan looked at the cabinet that her subordinates had only wiped halfway, and, not believing it, went to inspect the small room.

The small room was completely transformed. The floor was spotless, and the sheets and duvet covers had been changed, neatly folded, and placed on the bed.

Zheng Lan was speechless for a moment, then murmured, "Impressive."

With Jiang Yixing's swift help, the entire house was cleaned in just half a day.

The director frowned. This doesn't make sense!

It will take them a whole day to clean it properly.

Why did Jiang Yixing and his team only need half a day?
