Chapter Six

Meanwhile, the Rong family in City B was shaken and overjoyed, because their youngest son, who had been mentally challenged for 23 years, had finally become normal!

The moment Rong Hang opened his eyes, he was shocked. The world in front of him was bizarre and surreal, and he was wearing clothes that were more revealing than he had ever seen before.

Rong Hang immediately assumed a defensive stance, mobilizing his spiritual energy, only to find it completely depleted. He took two steps forward and discovered a strange-looking mirror reflecting his image.

The red marks on his face had disappeared, revealing his former appearance.

Before Rong Hang could figure out what was going on, the servant knocked on the door. "Young Master, you're awake?"

Rong Hang cautiously remained silent.

To everyone's surprise, the maid outside the door panicked and said, "Hey, go and call the madam. The young master seems to have woken up, but he hasn't responded when I call him. Could something have happened?"

Rong Hang had to speak up, "I'm fine, I just woke up."

The two maids exchanged glances. Why did the young master's voice sound so normal?

One of them said, "Alright, young master, would you like something to eat?"

"No need."

The maid was even more puzzled. The young master's mental age was only that of a child, and he usually couldn't even speak a complete sentence. That's why she was worried that something might have happened to him in his room. But why was he acting so normally today?

Rong Hang listened to the servant leave from inside the door and felt relieved. He wondered who the strangely dressed person outside the door was and why he was being called "Young Master".

Regardless of the current situation, the most urgent task is to regain his spiritual power. Rong Hang tried to communicate with heaven and earth, but found that the spiritual energy was very thin. Rong Hang immediately changed his method and used the reverse flow technique. The spiritual energy flowed upward against the pulse, and red spots immediately appeared on his face.

It's unclear what triggered something within Rong Hang's body, but the cluster of spiritual energy within him suddenly exploded, shooting straight upwards, and instantly knocking Rong Hang unconscious.

The commotion was quite loud. The servants quickly knocked on the door and called for help, but no one answered. They notified the madam while banging on the door. When they pushed the door open, they saw Rong Hang lying on the ground.

Jin Yuzhen sat by the bed, tears welling in her eyes. She couldn't understand why her youngest son had such a tragic fate. He had become mentally challenged for no apparent reason as a child, and the hospital couldn't find anything wrong, only saying it was likely a mental issue. At the time, her father-in-law was still alive and a devout Buddhist. He contacted a master at Hongyuan Temple. The master said that Rong Hang was born with a disordered spirit and that it was incurable.

He's mentally challenged, but the Rong family can afford to support him. However, today he suddenly collapsed and couldn't get up. The doctor said they couldn't find the cause. Jin Yuzhen was really afraid of that.

Rong Chengchang burst through the door in a flurry of activity. "What's wrong?"

Jin Yuzhen's tears fell in streams. "I don't know how I fainted."

Rong Chengchang put his arm around Jin Yuzhen's shoulder and said, "Don't worry, Xiao Hang will be fine."

Rong Hang snapped out of his massive memory and opened his eyes to find himself surrounded by a group of people.

Rong Hang opened his mouth, and they were all people he knew, people he had suddenly gained from his memories.

But the words just wouldn't come out.

Rong Hang propped himself up and sat up, and Jin Yuzhen quickly grabbed a cushion to put behind him.

Jin Yuzhen grasped his wrists with both hands, and Rong Hang trembled slightly, blinking his eyes hidden beneath his black hair.

"Xiao Hang, how are you? Is anything bothering you? Why did you suddenly faint?" Jin Yuzhen's voice trembled with tears as she spoke.

Rong Chengzhang called the doctor over, "Quickly take a look, is everything alright?"

Rong Hang's older brother, Rong Yuan, rushed back from somewhere, looking travel-worn. "Little Hang, be sure to tell me if you're feeling unwell!"

Rong Hang was called by the doctor to undergo a few simple examinations, but his eyes kept looking at the three people surrounding him.

Rong Chengchang and Rong Yuan pulled the doctor aside, "Are you alright?"

The doctor nodded. "I haven't seen any problems yet."

Both of them breathed a sigh of relief.

Jin Yuzhen held Rong Hang's hand tightly, and finally felt a little relieved.

"…mom."

Jin Yuzhen suddenly raised her head, and Rong Yuan and Rong Chengzhang behind her also looked over in disbelief.

Rong Hang's throat tightened, and he raised his head, revealing a face that bore an eight-tenths resemblance to Rong Yuan's.

"Dad, brother."

Rong Hang could feel Jin Yuzhen's hands trembling, and with his excellent eyesight, he could also see tears welling up in Rong Chengzhang's eyes.

Rong Yuan took a few steps forward, squatted down in front of Rong Hang, and paused for a few seconds, then asked, "Say it again?"

Rong Hang's dark eyes curved into a smile. "Brother."

Rong Chengchang turned away, holding back his tears.

Rong Hang felt a rare sense of peace; he could feel how good his family was to him. After experiencing betrayal once, he was better able to distinguish between feigned affection and genuine care.

After Rong Hang completed the fusion of his soul and spirit, he understood what had happened.

His soul was split in two, with the majority residing in Rong Hang's body. His current body, having lost its soul, was mentally incomplete, and even after living for over twenty years, he remained like a child.

The Rong family did not despise him at all; everyone took care of him like a child.

Once Rong Chengchang recovered, he immediately emptied the room of everyone except his own family.

"Xiao Hang, you...you're really better?"

Rong Hang nodded.

"It all felt like a dream."

"Then let's just pretend it was a dream!" Rong Cheng waved his hand, his mind racing with thoughts he revealed none of it. "Let's not dwell on the past! Let's just live well together from now on!"

Jin Yuzhen held Rong Hang's hand tightly, lowered her head, and tears fell drop by drop onto the back of Rong Hang's hand.
