"It must hurt a lot, right? I'm sorry, I made you suffer."
"It's alright," Jiang Yixing said with a smile, patting Gu Ruini on the shoulder. "It's nothing."
“But are you really not going to deal with her situation?” Jiang Yixing whispered in Gu Ruini’s ear, “It seems like someone is recording.”
Upon hearing this, Gu Ruini looked around at the crowd of onlookers but did not see anyone recording.
"On the right, behind the pillar," Jiang Yixing reminded them.
Gu Ruini glanced casually to her right and indeed spotted a suspicious person. Gu Ruini remained outwardly calm, but inwardly she tensed up. This didn't seem like a simple coincidence; someone had come prepared.
Gu Ruini's mind raced, and she couldn't help but swallow, her long eyelashes trembling.
"Director, could you please check the recording from earlier?" Jiang Yixing asked with a smile, his clear voice ringing out in the quiet film set.
“Okay.” Zhang Chang nodded and asked the person in charge to retrieve the footage that had just been taken.
Everyone crowded around the monitor, eager to see the outcome. Was Gu Ruini abusing her power, or did Li Yan really push someone but refuse to admit it?
A hint of smugness flashed in Li Yan's eyes, but she didn't panic at all and moved closer as well.
"Rennie, I really didn't push you."
Then, a few more tears welled up in her eyes, making her look like she was about to cry but couldn't.
"This time I will not back down. I have already given up enough in my four years of university."
“If I didn’t push him, you have to apologize to me. Even if I leave the crew today, I still need this apology. I’m not a coward who’s to be bullied.”
Everyone looked at Li Yan, noticing the tear-streaked face and a resolute glint in her eyes. A wave of sympathy washed over them; it seemed she had truly been wronged.
Condemning gazes fell on Gu Ruini again. Gu Ruini didn't care about the gazes of those around her. However, looking at Li Yan, who was in tears, Gu Ruini frowned slightly. It was clearly Li Yan who pushed her, so how could she be so confident?
Gu Ruini had a bad feeling and looked at the screen with a sense of panic.
Jiang Yixing had already figured out the whole story. Looking at the timid Gu Ruini and the confident Li Yan, Jiang Yixing smiled. He had just returned and was already witnessing a good show; how interesting.
