Chapter Seventy-Nine

Jiang Yixing tiptoed to Zhou Xinghe's side, who was wailing and howling.

"Okay, stop yelling."

"Sister Yixing!" Zhou Xinghe cheered, his voice filled with joy.

When Ye Dong and Yu Wujian saw that Jiang Yixing was finally ready to make a move, they breathed a sigh of relief; they were really about to reach their limit.

Surrounded in the center, the white tiger warily watched the newcomer. Wild animals have a more acute instinct than humans, and it immediately sensed that the person in front of it was no ordinary person. Its eyes flashed red, and it seized an opportunity to rush over.

The chosen one was naturally the talisman master who posed the weakest threat to the White Tiger. Seeing the White Tiger turn its target and charge towards him, the talisman master broke out in a cold sweat. Despite the danger, he didn't collapse in fear, but instead swiftly pulled out his most prized possession—a Foundation Establishment stage talisman that was priceless.

Even talismans worth a fortune in normal times are no match for his own life at this moment. Ye Dong's sweat dripped to the ground as he channeled his spiritual power, preparing to inject it into the talisman in the next second.

Jiang Yixing appeared out of nowhere, blocking Ye Dong's path.

Ye Dong's vision was suddenly blocked, making him realize that someone was standing in front of him, tightly clutching the talisman in their hand. Ye Dong looked up and saw a slender, tall figure standing right in front of him.

The white tiger was attacking at lightning speed, but Jiang Yixing seemed to be even faster. Ye Dong could almost see the surprise flash across the white tiger's eyes. Time seemed to be slowed down, and he only heard a female voice say, "Watch carefully."

As Jiang Yixing finished speaking, Ye Dong and everyone present couldn't help but stare intently at Jiang Yixing's movements, and even Rong Hang in the distance was watching closely.

The white tiger had gained sentience and did not intend to confront Jiang Yixing head-on. It turned to escape, but Jiang Yixing did not give it the chance.

Right in front of Ye Dong, Jiang Yixing raised his hand, his fingers lightly tapping in the air, outlining a single character stroke by stroke. He parted his lips slightly and uttered the word: "Water".

As soon as he spoke, the water surged forth, and for a moment Ye Dong thought he was in the midst of a tsunami disaster.

The white tiger's limbs were covered in water, its whole body was soaked, and it was trembling from the inside out. The water looked gentle, but it could not break free no matter what it did.

The white tiger was trapped by the surging water and had no way to escape. Its eyes were getting redder and redder, as if it was going mad.

Everyone present felt a chill run down their spines. As everyone knows, a berserk monster's strength can double or even more.

Jiang Yixing, however, remained unhurried. She leaped behind Yu Wujian, who was completely unaware of her arrival. He only noticed a blur before his eyes and could no longer catch a glimpse of Jiang Yixing.

Jiang Yixing chuckled softly behind Yu Wujian and tapped his shoulder. The next second, Jiang Yixing was already in front of Baihu.

When Yu Wujian saw what was in her hand, his face turned deathly pale, and he immediately reached for his own knife. Sure enough, the scabbard was empty.

This is an insult to a swordsman who primarily engages in close combat.

Jiang Yixing did it on purpose. As a close-combat fighter, his movement and alertness were really too poor. It was better for Jiang Yixing to pull out his knife now than for Yu Wujian to make a mistake in the battle in the future.

Yu Wujian dared not miss a single move by Jiang Yixing, his eyes fixed intently on Jiang Yixing.

Jiang Yixing flipped herself up, her body drawing a beautiful arc in the air. She gripped the knife with both hands, the back of the blade facing down, and as she fell, she slammed into the white tiger's back.

The water that had bound the white tiger's body receded, and the white tiger was instantly freed. It roared loudly at Jiang Yixing, its claws scraping against the ground, poised to strike.

Yu Wujian could see that Jiang Yixing's blade was unstoppable, seemingly carrying immense power, but when it landed on Baihu, the force was reduced by 80%.

Even so, Baihu was still knocked to the ground. Baihu leaped up, his movements incredibly fast, but Jiang Yixing was even faster, striking Baihu's legs with lightning speed and then hitting his softest spot, his abdomen. Baihu was hit by a combo and lost most of his strength.

Jiang Yixing didn't press his advantage, but instead went to the last two. The two behind him had different expressions. Zhou Xinghe looked at him with admiration and his face was full of interest, while Guo Linlu's face was not good. He knew that he had underestimated this young Foundation Establishment stage cultivator.

The white tiger was temporarily unable to fight and lay panting on the ground in a sorry state.

Jiang Yixing raised one hand to absorb the green spiritual energy that was gathering within her. Without turning around to look at the two of them, she explained directly, "Sense your spiritual energy."

As Jiang Yixing gathered his spiritual energy, specks of green rose from the ground, and visibly growing grass appeared. Jiang Yixing calmly said, "Control it."

The green weeds turned into dry branches, which sprouted and grew to the height of a person in an instant. Jiang Yixing pressed down with his wrist, and the branches stretched out in the direction of his fingertips.

The branches darted out like nimble snakes, forming a tight net that perfectly trapped the white tiger, immobilizing its limbs.

As sorcerers, Zhou Xinghe and Guo Linlu were closest to Jiang Yixing, so they naturally had the deepest understanding of the precision with which Jiang Yixing released his spiritual energy.

Zhou Xinghe's eyes shone brightly, and he conjured a small water ball at his fingertips, eager to try it out. Spiritual energy surged from his body and was released from his fingertips. He didn't know why, but he followed Sister Yixing's movements little by little. Although it seemed no different from usual, he could perceive the source and destination of spiritual energy more clearly.

Guo Linlu stared intently at Jiang Yixing, his face growing increasingly grim.

Jiang Yixing beckoned the four people to come over and stand in a circle around him and Baihu.

"Did you see everything I just did clearly?"

Jiang Yixing's clear voice rang in the ears of the four people.

The four nodded. Ye Dong recalled Jiang Yixing's feat of creating a talisman with his bare hands, which was simply a miraculous action! None of the Foundation Establishment talisman masters he had ever seen could draw a talisman with their bare hands!

Everyone needs to rely on the spiritual energy of talisman paper and ink to some extent, using paper as a medium and ink as a guide, in order to draw the talisman on the talisman paper to the greatest extent. Even so, most of the spiritual energy will still dissipate into nothingness.

Therefore, there are two reasons why modern talisman masters are not well-liked: firstly, they are physically weak and easily become a hindrance in battle; secondly, most people believe that their talisman techniques are simply gathering spiritual energy into the talisman paper in advance, and even wasting a lot of spiritual energy.

For example, various body cultivators and magic cultivators don't really look down on talisman cultivators. Wouldn't it be better to just go straight for it with that time and energy? It would also save spiritual energy.

Jiang Yixing's use of talisman techniques far exceeded Ye Dong's expectations. His control over spiritual power and his ability to control it with ease were unlike that of an amateur.

Ye Dong even wanted to kneel down on the spot and call Jiang Yixing "Master" to teach him.
