The moment this word came out, the air between the two seemed to freeze. Ouyang Guang's ears were red as if they were about to bleed, while Jin Zhiyuan pretended to adjust the hem of her skirt to hide the upturned corners of her mouth.
The car rolled over the speed bump, and the slight bump caused their arms to touch lightly. Ouyang Guang moved to the side as a reflex, but found in the next second that Jin Zhiyuan did not dodge.
"Actually..." Kim Ji-won looked at the night view outside the window, "I haven't sat in a car for a long time."
Ouyang Guang kept looking at her, the neon lights outside the car window cast changing light and shadows on her face, and her eyelashes cast a small shadow under her eyes. Jin Zhiyuan's fingertips gently stroked the rose petals, her movements were gentle, as if she was afraid of breaking something.
"It's the next stop." Kim Ji-won said softly.
"Yeah." Ouyang Guang nodded.
The car slowly stopped, and the two got out one after the other. The wind was a little colder than before, and Jin Zhiyuan pulled her coat closer. In the night, only Ouyang Guang and Jin Zhiyuan were left standing on the street under the street lights.
The two walked in silence all the way to the downstairs of Kim Ji-won's house.
"Here you go." Ouyang Guang gently handed the flower basket doll to Jin Zhiyuan. When Jin Zhiyuan reached out to take it, she found a long red envelope on the top, with a pair of golden dolls printed on it, shining lightly in the moonlight.
"What is this?" She picked up the envelope curiously and squeezed it. It was very thick inside and she didn't know what was inside.
Ouyang Guang's ears turned slightly red, but his voice was calmer than usual: "This is a Chinese red envelope, and inside is my gift to you."
Jin Zhiyuan was stunned for a moment, then showed an apologetic expression: "Sun, I seem to have been accepting your gifts all day long..." She looked down at the bouquet of red roses in her arms, and now the flower basket doll and red envelope in her hands, her voice gradually became smaller, "I feel very sorry for you now."
"Noona, you don't have to feel sorry for me," Oh Yangguang shook his head, looked her in the eyes, and asked a question that had been hidden in his heart all day, "When you saw me at the end... were you disappointed?"
"Of course not!" Kim Ji-won almost immediately raised her voice and answered, then realized her excitement and added in a lower voice, "I'm glad it's you."
The light from the street lamp fell on Ouyangguang's eyelashes, casting a fine shadow, and the image of the tear mole at the corner of the eye became clearer.
The corners of his mouth slightly raised, and he suddenly took a small step forward: "I am happy too." After a pause, he asked with a bit of mischief, "Then... do you like me?"
"I like it!" Jin Zhiyuan blurted out, and then waved her hands in panic, "No! I mean you are handsome..." Her voice became smaller and smaller, and finally became almost talking to herself, "What am I talking about..."
Ouyangguang looked at her at a loss and couldn't help laughing, his eyes curved into two crescents: "If you like it, take it!" He pointed at the red envelope, "This is what my mother said, it's a meeting gift for my fiancée."
"Inside..." Jin Zhiyuan nodded with a red face and carefully put the red envelope into her bag. The night wind blew her hair and brushed across her red cheeks.
The two of them suddenly fell silent, with only the occasional sound of the automatic door of a convenience store not far away. Ouyang Guang looked at the apartment building behind her and said, "Come in."
"Goodbye." Kim Ji-won said softly, but did not turn around immediately.
"Then I'll leave. See you tomorrow!" Ouyang Guang took two steps back and suddenly added as if he remembered something, "Good night, Noona!"
His smile was particularly bright in the moonlight, like a little sun in the dark night. Jin Zhiyuan stood there, watching his back gradually blend into the night, until he was completely out of sight, then she lowered her head and touched the red envelope in her bag, the corners of her mouth unconsciously raised.
At this time, Ouyang Guang, who had already reached the corner, suddenly stopped and looked back at the empty street. He touched his burning ears and smiled silently.
"Click! Recording is over!" The voice of the producer sounded.
