Chapter 140 Trip to Pohang (2/2)

She responded with a radiant smile, brighter than the sun.

Descending from the sky, the feeling of solid ground beneath our feet was somewhat magical. Before the excitement had even subsided, Kim Ji-won dragged him to a café called Fotopia. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered views of a meticulously maintained garden, like stepping into a fairytale. Sipping coffee and sharing photos taken from the air, the moment was peaceful and beautiful.

In the evening, they arrived at the lakeside park. First, they visited the Pohang City Museum of Art, which is full of modern art.

Next, we experienced the thrilling "Skywalk," a skywalk that was both exciting and fun to walk on under the transparent glass walkway.

As night fell and the city lights began to twinkle, they enjoyed a sumptuous red crab buffet, the crab meat plump and sweet. Finally, they returned to the lakeside park, leaning against the railing, watching the city lights on the opposite shore reflected in the dark lake water, like stars scattered across the pond. A day of fun settled into a peaceful happiness at that moment.

After filming wrapped, they returned to the hotel arranged by the production team. Just when everyone thought the day had come to a perfect end, Kim Ji-won magically produced a portable foot bath and two packets of herbal bath sachets.

"Are you tired? Soaking your feet will make you feel much better." She naturally squatted down to adjust the water temperature.

Watching her busy figure, Ou Yangguang felt a surge of warmth in his heart. He walked over and took the things from her hands: "Let me do it."

Warm water flowed over their ankles, and the fatigue seemed to dissipate gradually with the rising aroma of herbs. The two sat side by side on the sofa, quietly soaking their feet, occasionally exchanging a smile. No words were needed; a silent intimacy and tacit understanding flowed in the air.

The next day, they got up before dawn and set off for the Sunrise Plaza at Tiger Tail Cape. The stars hadn't completely faded from the deep blue sky, and many people had already gathered along the coastline to wait for the sunrise. When that magnificent red finally struggled to emerge from below the sea, instantly dyeing half the sky and the entire sea crimson, the breathtaking and sacred beauty left everyone holding their breath.

Ou Yangguang subconsciously glanced at Kim Ji-won beside him. The golden light of dawn outlined her profile, her eyes reflecting the rising sun, dazzlingly bright. He quietly reached out and gently grasped her slightly cool fingers. She didn't pull away; instead, she intertwined her fingers with his, their hands locked together.

After the sun fully rose above the sea, flocks of seagulls circled and cried out around them.

The two of them took out the snacks they had bought in advance, broke them into pieces, and tossed them into the air, watching the seagulls skillfully catch them, and burst into happy laughter.

The giant hand sculpture in the middle of the sea seemed to be holding up the entire sky, and they took many funny and cute photos on the beach.

Before leaving, Kim Ji-won took him to a local traditional bakery that was said to have been open for over sixty years. The shop was filled with the incredibly tempting aroma of wheat and sweetness from the old-fashioned ovens.

Knowing that Ou Yangguang didn't particularly like cream, she picked up a freshly baked, cutely shaped cream bread and held it to his lips with a mischievous smile: "Try it, isn't it delicious?"

Ou Yangguang looked at the hand she raised to her lips, and at the expectation and mischief in her eyes. Instead of taking it with his hand, he leaned forward slightly, peeked out, and took a bite out of her hand.

The soft bread and the sweet but not greasy cream melt in your mouth instantly.

"Mmm, delicious." He looked up, his mouth still full of bread, his cheeks slightly puffed out, but his eyes were curved into two crescent moons as he stared at her intently, his gaze filled with undisguised affection and satisfaction.

The camera freezes on this scene—in the warm morning light of the bakery, the boy slightly rises to take a bite of the bread in the girl's hand. The girl looks up at him, her smile shy and sweet. The air is filled with the aroma of bread, and an even sweeter scent called "heart-fluttering."

The sea breeze of Pohang, soaring through the clouds, the night view of the lake, the sunrise in the morning light... and the woman before him, who carefully cherished every wish of his and made it come true for him. Ou Yangguang thought that this was probably the most precious and brightest respite in his busy, chaotic, and sometimes suffocating life.
