Chapter 165 Solace and Depravity (1/2)

Ou Yangguang looked up at Kim Ji-won, his eyes unusually bright in the darkness, churning with pain and confusion: "Noona, did I really do something wrong? I just wanted to seize an opportunity... Why did things turn out like this? Why... can't even my closest members understand?"

Kim Ji-won sat down beside him without answering immediately. She simply reached out and gently placed her hand over his clenched fist, the warmth of her touch seeping through his skin.

She didn't preach any grand principles, nor did she judge who was right or wrong. She simply stayed quietly by his side, silently telling him that she was there for him.

After a while, she spoke softly, her voice gentle yet firm: "I don't know exactly what happened, or who's right and who's wrong. But Ah Guang, there's nothing wrong with fighting for what you want." She paused, looking at him, "It's just... the way you do it might need to be careful. Besides, people often don't mean what they say when they're angry. Give them some time, and give yourself some time too."

She opened the paper bag, took out the still-warm rice cake soup and some light food, and then took out an ice pack wrapped in a towel: "Do you... need to put this on your face?"

As Ou Yangguang watched her busy figure and listened to her gentle yet rational words, the cold wasteland in his heart seemed to be infused with a warm current.

As the tension gradually eased, the anger and grievances that had nowhere to go seemed to find a temporary harbor.

He took the ice pack and applied it to his slightly swollen cheekbone; the cool touch cleared his confused mind somewhat.

The two shared the simple food, and the warm rice cake soup helped dispel some of the chill.

Only a dim floor lamp was on in the living room, its soft light enveloping them and temporarily isolating them from the outside world.

It's unclear who approached first; perhaps it was the lingering vulnerability in his eyes that attracted her, or perhaps it was her unconditional companionship that touched the softest corner of his heart.

When you're close enough to feel each other's breath, all words seem superfluous.

A soothing kiss landed gently.

At first, it was just the touch of lips, carrying a slight chill and uncertainty.

But soon, the kiss became deep and urgent, like two people lost in the cold night, desperately wanting to draw warmth and reassurance from each other.

The ice pack had fallen onto the carpet at some point and no one paid any attention to it.

He stroked her cheek, his fingertips trembling slightly, as if confirming her real existence.

She responded to his kiss, wrapped her arms around his neck, and pulled him closer to her.

A desperate, all-or-nothing desire permeated the air; all the conflicts, anger, and grievances transformed into a primal and intense emotion, seeking release and solace.

Clothes were scattered all the way from the sofa to the bedroom.

In the dark room, they embraced tightly, using the warmth of their bodies to dispel the coldness in each other's hearts.

Her response was equally passionate, her fingernails leaving faint red marks on his back, their breaths mingling and drowning out the howling wind outside the window.

At this moment, two young souls seek solace in each other amidst an emotional storm.

When the raging waves finally subsided, only their heavy breathing and the faint light filtering in from the window remained in the room.

Ou Yangguang held Kim Ji-won tightly in his arms, resting his chin on the top of her head, feeling her warm body temperature and regular heartbeat.

An unprecedented calm and exhaustion swept over him.

She didn't speak, but simply nestled quietly in his arms, her fingers unconsciously tracing circles on his chest.

"Go to sleep," he whispered in her ear, his voice hoarse with a hint of calm.

Kim Ji-won gave a soft "hmm" and closed her eyes.

In the cold, empty apartment on this cold night, her arrival was like a small lamp suddenly lit, and their passionate encounter that night was like a blazing flame, briefly but fiercely dispelling the darkness and cold that enveloped him.

He held the person in his arms tightly, as if they were the only piece of driftwood he could grab onto in the raging waves.

The night was deep, and the lonely heart found temporary refuge in the merging of bodies.

The next day, the morning sunlight streamed through the gaps in the curtains, casting a narrow strip of light on the floor.

Ou Yangguang woke up first. The moment his consciousness returned, the chaos and conflict of last night tried to flood his mind like a tide, but the real weight in his arms and the even breathing sounded like a soft barrier, temporarily keeping those unpleasant memories out.
