At the same time that Chanyeol was wandering the streets, the two who had successfully escaped were staging a street spy drama.
Kim Jongin nimbly weaved through the crowd, glancing back every now and then to make sure Chanyeol hadn't followed, before reporting to the camera, "Chanyeol's gone now, he should be going to see Sehun." His tone was light as if he had accomplished a task.
On another path not far away, Wu Shixun was also "sneaking around".
He looked around curiously at the exquisite shops on both sides, muttering to himself, "This is my first time here..." His face was filled with a sense of novelty, completely forgetting his "crime" of abandoning his brother earlier.
Fans reading this will probably sigh and facepalm: So you two went through all that trouble to shake off Chanyeol, only to get separated yourselves? What kind of tactic was that?
Just then, a crisp cell phone ringtone broke Sehun's leisurely stroll.
"The phone's ringing." He took out his phone, and Zhong Ren's name was flashing on the screen.
"Hey, where are you?" Kim Jongin's anxious voice came through as soon as the call connected.
"Where are you?" Wu Sehun asked instead of answering.
"I've come out of the next shop and entered an alley," Kim Jong-in said, trying to describe his location.
"OK, OK," Sehun replied as he walked quickly forward.
“You come from the left, and I’ll go from the right to meet you,” Kim Jong-in proposed a seemingly clear meeting plan.
“We’ve met here.” Sehun agreed.
"Okay, okay, I understand."
"okok".
"It'll be there soon."
"OK".
After this series of rapid "ok"s, a dramatic scene unfolded.
Just as Oh Sehun hung up the phone and turned a corner, Kim Jongin saw him.
"Who is this?" Kim Jongin put down his phone, which was still pressed against his ear, and couldn't help but laugh as he strode over.
"Yay!" Wu Sehun quickly recovered from his surprise, a big smile spreading across his face. He strode forward, even letting out an excited shout: "Oh ho la!"
The two finally "met up," as if they had completed some remarkable secret mission.
"We're leaving now." Kim Jongin stepped forward, his tone becoming serious.
"Now we need to go buy Chanyeol a birthday present." Oh Sehun finally revealed today's main task, and his expression became much more serious.
"I'm leaving."
"Let's go."
After reaching an agreement, the two were just about to take a step when Kim Jongin suddenly remembered the run he had just done. He put his hands back in his pockets and complained, "Ugh, running was so tiring!"
“Yes.” Wu Sehun nodded in deep agreement, their understanding was perfect.
Then they got back to the main topic. Kim Jongin suggested, "Should we buy that hat or keep browsing? Let's think about it ourselves."
He was referring to the hat that Chanyeol really liked, which he had just seen in the store.
"How much does that hat cost?" Wu Sehun asked, crossing his arms and posing a practical question.
"Fifty thousand dollars?" Kim Jong-in guessed.
This price made the two poor maknaes gasp in shock.
"It's too expensive, I don't have the money." Wu Sehun immediately shook his head, his expression serious. "Really, I don't have any money." He patted his pockets, looking helpless.
"Let's go ask first," Kim Jongin said, being quite pragmatic. "Ask how much it costs, and then Sehun, you can think about it." He entrusted the important task of deciding to Sehun.
"Okay," Wu Sehun reluctantly agreed.
So the two "secret agents" who had just successfully reunited set off again toward their real target: the hat shop.
On the tree-lined path, the groups continued to select gifts.
Baekhyun and Jongdae were browsing clothes in a trendy clothing store, chatting and laughing as they planned to buy something for themselves.
Byun Baekhyun took a fancy to a black leather jacket, and it was even 30% off.
“It seems to suit me well, CHEN, what do you think?” Baekhyun put on his leather jacket and struck a seductive pose in front of Jongdae.
"Pfft, hahaha~" Zhong Da immediately bent over and burst out laughing. "What kind of pose is that?!"
