Chapter 190 Gift Exchange (1/2)

After the draw, Ou Yangguang was the first to announce the results. He looked at his slip of paper, then looked up at Zhang Yixing across from him, beaming, "Spicy stir-fried rice cakes." He waved the black plastic bag in his hand, "Brother, it's mine!"

"Yo, stir-fried rice cakes."

"See? There's no twist, it's just stir-fried rice cakes."

Wow! It must taste delicious.

Zhang Yixing laughed and explained to the members, "I have a reason for buying stir-fried rice cakes."

"Is it the one that offers takeout?" Baekhyun asked curiously.

"The reason, what is the reason?" Zhong Da urged curiously.

"Back when I was a trainee, I was always hungry after practice, so I would always go to eat stir-fried rice cakes from roadside stalls," Lay recalled.

“We used to eat there all the time.” Ou Yangguang hugged the bag to his chest and nodded contentedly. “It’s been so long since I’ve had this!”

Next, Zhang Yixing announced, "Mine is... Kai." He picked up a simply packaged box, opened it, and saw two crucian carp-shaped cakes neatly arranged inside, with the aroma of red bean filling wafting out.

"This is something we often ate during our trainee days," Jongin explained, peeking out from the side.

"It's in the opposite direction from that rice cake shop," Yixing quietly added.

Kim Jong-in drew a gift from Kris, which contained pork belly.

"Wow! This is great!" Jongin's eyes lit up; this was the most expensive one available.

Everyone unanimously decided that they would grill and eat the pork belly when they got back.

When it was Kris's turn, he unfolded the slip of paper and looked at Ou Yangguang: "Mine... is Sun." He walked to the largest gift box in the room and opened it amidst everyone's curious gazes. Inside were thirteen sweet, honey-dried roasted sweet potatoes and a large bag of hot, roasted chestnuts.

"Nothing special?" Kris raised an eyebrow when he saw the roasted sweet potato.

"What are you saying!" Ou Yangguang immediately protested, sitting up straight and glaring at him. "Don't you understand? Winter is for roasted sweet potatoes and sugar-roasted chestnuts! And thirteen servings, one for each of us! That's what team spirit is all about!"

Ou Yangguang's reaction made everyone laugh, and they all agreed: "That's right! Winter is all about eating roasted sweet potatoes!"

Sitting next to Kris, Park Chanyeol couldn't wait to announce, "Mine is Tao!" He received a flat box, opened it, and found a beautiful set of envelopes and stationery inside, but they were all blank. "Huh? I thought it was a plaster..." Chanyeol was a little confused, looking incredulous, a stark contrast to his earlier statement that money wasn't important and that the sentiment was the most important thing.

Huang Zitao immediately leaned over and said earnestly, "Brother, remember to write to me!"

Poor Chanyeol, he has to write a letter to receive a gift. This isn't a gift, it's a mission!

Tao himself drew Lu Han's gift, which was a large paper bag filled with bread.

Lu Han said with a smile, "It's also a memory from when I was a trainee. Back then, when we were hungry after practice at night, we would often eat this bread together. I bought enough for thirteen people."

"Have you ever eaten bread soaked in tears?" Chanyeol remarked earnestly.

Lu Han received a gift from his older brother Minseok: two pairs of Christmas stockings.

“That’s exactly what I need.” Lu Han happily gave his older brother a high five.

"If we leave the socks in the dorm, we can all take turns wearing them."

"Yes, it belongs to all of us."

In response to Chanyeol and Baekhyun's comments, Luhan directly stated, "No, I won't wear it."
