On December 29th, at the KINTEX Exhibition Center in Ilsan, the SBS Gayo Daejeon took place that night.
Compared to the KBS studio, this venue is much larger and can accommodate more audience members. SBS stages have always been known for their glamour, creativity, and grand atmosphere, creating a more enthusiastic and unrestrained ambiance.
Tonight is especially special for Ouyang. Not only will he be performing as a member of EXO, but he will also be hosting this music extravaganza, which will last for several hours, for the first time as an MC, alongside Super Junior's Kim Heechul and Girls' Generation's Jessica Jung.
In the MC's private backstage waiting room, the stylist was giving Ou Yangguang the final touches. His look tonight was completely different from any of his previous stage appearances. He wore a perfectly tailored retro three-piece black suit, with the vest buttoned up meticulously, highlighting his slender waist and sharp shoulders. A burgundy striped bow tie was tied at the collar of his white shirt, exuding a sense of solemnity and nobility.
The most striking feature was the pair of non-prescription gold-rimmed glasses perched on his nose, which added a touch of aloofness and depth to his eyes behind the lenses. His hair was styled in a mature side-swept style, revealing a smooth and full forehead. He exuded a unique, refined, and ascetic aura that was somewhere between a boy and a man, revealing a cool and arrogant feeling, making him look exactly like a wealthy young master.
“Wow, our Xiaoguang’s look today…” Kim Heechul pushed open the door and came in. He was wearing a burgundy velvet suit, which was gorgeous and flamboyant. He whistled the moment he saw Ou Yangguang. “He’s a walking magazine cover. The fans are going to go crazy.”
Jessica Jung followed behind, dressed in a burgundy strapless dress with a fluffy white mink short coat, looking as exquisite as an ice princess. She also looked at Ou Yangguang and nodded in admiration: "Really, your temperament is completely different, like a cool nobleman. Come here, let me admire you properly."
Ou Yangguang, teased by Kim Heechul and Jessica Jung, adjusted his glasses and retorted, "The cosmic superstar and the Ice Princess are just as impressive today."
"Hey! This kid's gone astray." Kim Heechul clapped his hands. "Alright, the show's about to start, everyone snap out of it! Remember the routine, be adaptable, and most importantly, enjoy the stage!"
The opening performance was a winter anthem, "Sleigh Ride," performed by dozens of popular male and female band members and veteran singers. The upbeat and catchy melody and lively and festive arrangement quickly transformed the venue into a large New Year's party, with the audience waving light sticks and instantly igniting the atmosphere.
As the song ended, the stage lights dimmed slightly, and the three MCs were about to take the stage.
"Ready!" came the director's command through the headset.
Ou Yangguang took a deep breath, suppressing the last trace of nervousness, and his eyes behind his glasses instantly became calm and focused. He straightened his suit cuffs and nodded to the two senior colleagues beside him.
A spotlight suddenly shone on the center of the stage. Kim Heechul, Jessica Jung, and Oh Sunny walked out side by side. Their gorgeous outfits, outstanding looks, and powerful aura made them the focus of the entire venue the moment they appeared.

The deafening screams nearly lifted the roof off, and light sticks of various colors waved wildly. When the fans recognized the figure standing next to Kim Heechul and Jessica Jung—wearing gold-rimmed glasses, a retro black suit, and exuding a cool and aloof aura—as Ou Yangguang, the screams reached an even higher peak.
"Oh my god! Husband, I love you—!!!" A powerful, piercing shout, with a cracking tone, burst from somewhere in the audience, clearly echoing throughout the front area. It was even faintly picked up by the recording equipment, triggering even wider laughter and more frenzied screams.
This sudden "confession" startled Ou Yangguang on stage. A barely suppressed smile then crept across his lips, and his eyes behind his glasses curved into a barely perceptible arc. He raised his hand, seemingly casually adjusting his glasses, a gesture that elicited another round of screams.
Fans were incredibly excited and surprised. There had been no prior announcement that Ouyang would be hosting as an MC, so they never expected to see him hosting.
